RoT has a lot of enemies-2-lovers & I wondering who are the 3 that start the story hating PC the most? I’m asking for the top 3 because I’m guessing the #1 & maybe #2 are a given

Maybe not as many as you think. Or more than you think depending on what side of the coin you're on (enemies purely by chance? No hate either way? Still counts as enemies to lovers ;))

For this particular post, I will go by sheer amount of hate and dislike. There's little drama with someone like Lokeira who is apathetic to you at most (though there are other dramas there).

1. Emil

Answer is obvious. You killed his parents. The very thought of loving you is inherently anathema to him. Maybe one day he can forgive you. Either way, you're always on the hook for your misdeeds.

2. Arke

Also obvious. You were once a close friend, maybe more if you pushed it (but you never pushed it, did you?). Now, five years down the line and paying for your mistakes, Arke comes back with an enslaving rage directed solely at you. One day, he'll understand you had to do it.

3. Calyssa

All her misplaced anger is like a disease festering inside her like the very real hex eating away inside you. She doesn't know why she hates you, but she's sure she's right. A pretty butt sitting on the throne while people suffer? You have to be wrong. Maybe you'll redirect that distrust elsewhere. Or maybe you won't.

What’s Calyssas & Qoras favorite animals?

Ooh. Hmm.

Qora, I'm sure is obvious. Midland Wildcats because, well Zora is right there.

As for Cal... That's a lot harder. Dogs are an easy choice as they were her wife's favourite, however, if pushed she'd have to say Griffins.

Not sure if this is legal but I wanna know more about the poly dynamics, could you do a short with Calyssa & Severa bonding while sparring or Herron patching up Lokeira?

Only seeing 'Not sure if this is legal' in my inbox when I looked at my phone earlier had me quite confused lol... then I read the rest of it. But that's ABSOLUTELY legal. Did one for Cal and Sev this time around but I have an idea for a Herron/Lokeira short a bit later ;3

Dust kicks up in the ring as the two warriors circle, blades drawn and eyes set on the other even as young recruits and aging veterans alike watch on in interest. In the midday heat of the Hadarian Summer, the dark haired Xacthan's pointed ears barely so much as twitch much to the chagrin of her opponent who simply glowers down the edge of her blade. It feels awkward in her hands; much more accustomed to the even hold of a lance or the top-heavy weight of an axe and it shows.

"You weren't formally trained, were you Rebel?" Severa jeers, her lips pulling up and showing her gums in a cheeky smile despite Calyssa's grief-hardened frown, "No... no, you're a farmer. Better to be holding a pitchfork or shovel than a blade!"

Cal simply raises a brow at the jape and they continue to circle, neither warrior taking the first chance at a lunge. Neither considers such a move an option, not when so acutely aware of how each fights both as comrades and as enemies, but at some point someone has to break.

And it's Calyssa who does.

She makes a move at her opponent, quickly and expertly deflected with a flick of Severa's wrist before she follows up with a full-body slash at her suddenly exposed side. Cal wrenches out of the way with a grimace as her body protests the sudden movement, ribs cracking and balance tipping backwards... backwards... back--before she catches herself with a growl of determination. She isn't going to lose one second into a battle, even with a weapon she despises.

"You're not very good at this," Severa continues, "You need to go back and relearn a thing or two at your... farm."

Cal feels her brow twitch, her grip tightening on the blade as her eyes drift down across Severa's impenetrable facade. There's a dagger at her belt, Cal knows what to do with daggers more than any stupid sword. If only she could get to it... "Or maybe you're just too rigid. They don't teach you anything else outside how to use your weapons."

"Trust me, I didn't need anyone telling me how to use my weapons," And then Severa winks. Despite her burning cheeks, Cal lets out a curse as if the madness within her is born out of anger rather than what it actually is. Flirting in battle! Of all the hard-headed things...

It gives her an opening, however. Throwing her blade to the side, Severa is thrown off-kilter just enough for Cal to throw herself at her opponent, knocking her to the ground with a crunch of metal and a collective of gasps as the rookies scatter to avoid the flying blade knocked from Severa's own grip. Barely winded, however, Severa's knee shoots upward to knock into Cal's stomach just as she makes a grab at the dagger. Unwilling to lose so quickly, her fist tightens until it hurts, arm wrenching back to keep the blade safely at her side despite the pain shooting down her legs.

As best she's able Calyssa jumps back, away from Severa in case of any extra kicks of smacks sent her way--the woman has an arm on her that's for sure. Panting and cheeks flushed red Cal's control can't stop her strangled sense of pride from waving the dagger back and forth with muted glee, something like a smile picking at her lips, "They don't teach that at your academies, do they?"

Severa grunts, "To throw away your only weapon? Fuck I hope not." She's righting herself; slowly, deliberately, not quite looking at Cal yet most certainly not withdrawing from the battle, "I find, however, the most important lessons aren't learned from Academy instructors."

Perhaps it's in that moment that Calyssa learns exactly why she was destined to lose that particular bout, as a fistful of dirt and grime is thrown directly at her face and Severa tackles her back to the ground with a ferocious wail of victory. The women hit the ground and lose their air but it's Severa this time who grabs hold of the dagger. Cal's breath hitches, a sharp pinprick pressing into the sensitive skin of her collarbone.

"It took a war hero for me to learn that honour in battle is false, and it took two others to teach me that when it all comes down to it soldiers don't have the luxury to be sportsmanlike," Severa says between heavy breaths, "You have a good start, you could learn a little from the best."

As she rolls off Cal, Severa sits up with a groan. They're both covered in dust and dirt--Cal's eyes still sting from that particularly lovely lesson Severa gave--but neither are particularly feeling disappointed. Least of all when Severa slides the dagger into her opponent's hands and presses it up against her own ribcage.

"Oops, guess I didn't get a killing blow," She leans in, snickers, the pointy end of the dagger still sitting snugly against her side, "Don't throw away your only weapon Cal. That will get you killed, and that would be a real shame." And then, baffling Calyssa to silence, thick lips press to her dirty cheek.

And nothing else is ever mentioned on the matter.

Speaking of polys will it be started with 1 relationship & then the other afterwards or everyone at the same time?

It will probably depend.

For the herron/Lokeira one that is planned to go either way depending on how quickly you get into a relationship with one. If Herron is single and/or poly with mc, he will be with Lokeira from a certain point in the game. And vice versa with Lokeira. Mc can come in later if they want as well.

For Severa/Cal that will be a case of either or as well, though that would depend on whether you encourage Severa to persue Cal as they are not a guaranteed pairing. If you're just friends and encourage her you can come in later with both of them, if you're in a relationship and encourage her you can either be with Cal together or just Severa. Or so that's the plan.

Putting it in practise may be a bit harder but we'll see.

What does Arke and Cal clash about? I thought they’d be 2 peas in a pod with the anger & love for weapons.

It's less a case of not having things in common and more that Cal does not believe Arke truly wants to be there. She may not know the full story but Arke's anger is... too personal. Yes, she's aware that may come across as hypocritical, but he doesn't always go with the plan, he doesn't always follow orders. Call it creative differences.

Oh I didn’t know CoI characters were an option if you’re still doing them could you do 💢 🍧 🕷️ ☁️ for Allard & Calysa?

Okay so finished the outline of CoI ch2 and up to ch7 of rott so now I'll answer some asks, as a treat.

Anger -what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to? Allard has a tendency to just forget to do things if they're distracted. They could be about to do some cleaning but if someone comes and chats with them for ten minutes or more by the end of the conversation 8/10 they would have forgotten. Cal leaves her weapons EVERYWHERE. It's not a paranoia thing like it is with Nox, no for Cal she just trains so often and to such a magnitude that she may as well put them on the dining table when she's eating her foot. Shaved Ice - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it? Allard doesn't have anything, they haven't had anything like that for a long while. Cal still has many things from her childhood she couldn't bare to part with. Perhaps most prominently is her little stuffed dog that her mother made herself. It's not the best thing ever or even the most important to her but it did start a love of ugly little dogs at a young age and it was made specifically for her. If she lost it she'd probably tear the keep up just looking for it. Spider - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears? What are you talking about? Allard has no fears! (Their work being for nothing and/or swimming). Some (ir)rational fears are [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and horses. Cal on the other hand ultimately most fears being stuck in the past if you're talking in the abstract and giant spiders if we're talking literal. Some irrational fears are: falling to her death, and someone sneaking chili's into her food. Cloud - a soft cannon Allard likes hands; hand holding, hand touching, just in general, hands. Cal is very much into dates. She likes being able to go out and show her partner/s off to the world.

Crown - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why? Not a revolutionary, anything but that. Because she's so much more than that, or so she hopes. - Calyssa She knows who she is and she knows how she'll be remembered. Wishing otherwise isn't any help. - Severa Droplet - random angst canon Cal sold her old family home after her wife died, she couldn't handle the reminder. Every few years she sneaks back on property to check her grave, partially hoping it's been covered over each time. She knows her wife wouldn't want this--she was a Xacthan through and through--but she isn't as strong as she tries to be. Severa is fully of the belief that it is better if everyone from her family believes her dead. Anything would be better than the current way of things.
