oh absolutely-- or she eats, but definitely not enough . arastoo + her friends are pretty good about gently reminding her bc otherwise she puts it off and puts it off until its the middle of the afternoon and she's not really sure why she has a raging headache and every interaction leaves her either on the verge of tears or the verge of losing her shit with frustration until someone goes . literally when was the last time you had ANYTHING of substance .

I hate how we never get to meet Cams parents. I know she said in the show that her mom died when she was 23 but we never learned how she did.

I WANNA KNOW MORE ABOUT CAM'S FAMILY !!! i always forget that my hc's aren't canon bc . there's no canon to override them !!

in my hc's, cam was the "good kid" in a tough family-- grew up poor in NYC, cop dad (who is the reason why she became a cop), sick mother and a sister who was off being wild while she had to put on a good face. her mom died of cancer and had been sick since cam was a teenager-- the stress of this also greatly contributed to cam's perfectionism, wanting to make her mom proud before she died.

I'm so attached to Cam it's unreal 🙈 I've been thinking of a couple of random headcanons for her that I may one day incorporate into a fic:

-Her parents wanted her to be proper and ladylike and enrolled her in piano lessons. She hated them, but she was very gifted at it, and to this day can sit in front of a piano and play a tune. She does this while out with the team and everyone is shocked.

-We all know she's very intelligent. I think it would be interesting if she was absolutely terrible at math. (Autistic imbalance of abilities.) When someone on the team asks her a "simple" math problem, she gets very flustered and defensive because she's embarrased.

CAM PIANO PLAYER I AM SOOO IN LOVE ??? i am so attracted to everyone who can play piano bc i play ten fucking instruments and yet i cannot play anything other than very simple chords on the piano LMAO

in extension to piano playing cam . she can read music very well but she just prefers to memorize it, and can do so very quickly. after practicing a piece a few times, she moves onto just doing it from muscle memory because it's easier to not have to focus on the page. autistic music girlies rise up !

BAD AT MATH CAM IS MY NEW FAV !!! she was really good at math as a kid until like partway through highschool when she just hit a wall and could not do it anymore and was so frustrated. it really impacted her self esteem because things like this had never been hard for her but it seemed impossible for some reason. she's still really insecure about it especially since she is by all accounts, a genius, and she works with other geniuses who are all so fast with math and numbers but she always trips over them and gets confused.

other random cam headcanons:

she cannot cook to save her life. cannot be bothered to learn because she is genuinely terrible at it and hates doing anything she's bad at. arastoo comes to her house and is like . why are your cupboards full of takeout menus and like ,,, four ingredients what the fuck 😭 she doesn't give a fuck though and is like . "why would i learn to cook when we live in dc i can literally get any food i want in under an hour" . he just stares at her like ,,, how are you ALIVE

she DOES own a pair of crocs but they are only house shoes and arastoo is sworn to secrecy that he will NEVER tell ANYONE. they are comfortable and she is pro shoes in the house but NEVER outside shoes so they're perfect. she literally hides them when people come over.

speaking of shoes/clothes. cam absolutely has a walk in closet it was a Need when she was finding a place

fashion is a special interest of hers 💪 she got teased a lot for it when she was younger and even as an adult because what do you MEAN you're smart AND interested in "girly" things that doesn't work !! people sometimes judge her based on her appearance sometimes but she loves proving them wrong

What's something Lucien does that you appreciate?

“He’s not afraid to share what he thinks with me. I can ask him for his honest opinion, and I know he’ll give it to me. I also really like when he brings home my favorite snacks after I’ve had a shit day.”

What do you think of your life with Lucien?✘

"It's... good," Cam smiles to himself, "I think I'm having a harder time with domestic life than I thought I would- like I thought I really really wanted this and would fall into it- but I'm just not used to it.

It's scary, like I now have more to lose than ever, and it terrifies me. But... I'm happy. I love Lucien and Leilani more than anything, I did even before Lucien and I started dating, and I want to make them happy."

Who is naturally dominant in the bedroom and who is submissive, and which ones are in the middle?

Adrik - naturally dominant, I don't think he's ever really considered being submissive, or bottoming- but... if it could happen? It'd have to be a specific set of circumstances and with someone he feels very safe with. Vincent is probably the only person he could trust like that. 

Cam - naturally submissive, he *very* much enjoys being dominated. That being said, he's totally fine taking a more dominant position when the mood is right. He’s a submissive with middle/switch tendencies XD

Theo -  he’s more naturally submissive, but he’s become more of a switch after Xavier started letting him top

Waylon - he's in the middle, he loves people and new experiences so when he was single he loved to meet whoever he was coupling with, where they were at. If he’s was feeling something in particular, he'd seek that out

Leon - he's in the middle as well, but it very much depends on his mood and with certain people. He's leans more to the dominant side and has had more submissive partners than not- but he has definitely played a submissive role with certain people - like with Xavier, for example.

Andel - naturally submissive, in his personal life. He spends a lot of time playing dominant roles for "work", so it's a treat for him to get to turn off his mind for a little bit in a submissive role. While he does just prefer and enjoy getting railed, he enjoys not having to plan the entire encounter towards someone else's needs. He likes being surprised by whatever the other person wants to do.

Rudi - he is.... bossy. So no matter what role he's in, he's probably telling the other person what to do. He enjoys a more dominant role, and if he's taking a submissive position, it's very much power-bottom energy. He likes giving up control once in a while, but that's probably more of a rare thing, a special occasion scenario, than it is the norm. It would have to be with someone he trusts very deeply, considering he doesn’t really open up to others, and there are very few of those. Even fewer who would actually sleep with him, since he doesn’t really know how to make friends lol

Tobias - he’s naturally dominant, but is more flexible on being in a submissive role with the right people 

Valens - ???? Who knows? He’ll never tell ;3 ????
