So I had pre-ordered the kodak charmera when B&H online emailed me and told me they had it in stock. I ordered the same day they emailed me. About 3 weeks later, they emailed me telling me that now the camera is on back order because it sold out. Make it make sense because I was on the B&H website, I hit the box to be notified when it was in stock because the day I went online to B&H, it was out of stock. Then, when it finally was in stock, I was notified and ordered on the same day that they claimed to have it in stock, and now week's later, it's on backorder...?
You know what, whatever. I emailed them, letting them know how disappointed I was because clearly they messed up. As a response, they offered an apology and asked if I wanted to wait or get another item. I'll wait, but let me tell you, they hype I had is out the window. If I get one, I get one. If not, oh well.

Kodak Tmax 400iso
The Morgan Camera Shop at Sunset and Vine is a decaying, neighborhood time capsule. It has just been sitting there, closed, for decades. The inside is basically untouched - covered in dust. The outside is defaced with graffiti and condos have sprung up all around it. It’s amazing it’s still there.
The Tale of Two Cities according to Stephi and Heiko – Part 289
I have to admit, for two photographers it took as quite a while to come up with this idea. But after 289 week we finally had THE idea of what to show you next: camera stores.
I am not talking about big tech stores that sell cameras next to TVs, washing machines and kitchen stuff. No, I am actually talking about specialized camera stores.
And the one we show you are household names in our cities as they are huge stores (at least the one in Munich in the first picture, the one I show you from Cologne not so much), but they also come with a great reputation.
They offer a great service, have knowledgeable people working in their stores and they offer great prices as well.
And that’s only half the truth because next to having a great selection of new cameras, lenses and everything related to photography (and film), they also have a great display of second hand material. You can get some real analogue cameras, some real treasures. Sometime I find myself in front of the display and am just in awe of what they are offering.
This week I am just thankful for these specialized stores that prefer giving advice instead of quick money.
