Pretty much, what if you’re traveling and you want to do some photos in your hotel room or maybe you’re in your friend’s house and you need to do something that requires a tripod. . You can stack up books, or items together ... OR .. Find a lamp, unscrew the cap, and most of the time, there is this bolt and it’s about the same size as the the nut underneath the camera. .
