#JentryWeek Day 4: Alternate Universe
A alternate universe where Jentry plays for the Kilkenny Camogie team 😂🇮🇪🖤💛 I'll be honest, I was trying to push for a dynamic pose but I'm don't think I've gotten anywhere close to where I want with it. I'll use it as a learning curve though for when I'm tackling a camogie pose again. Also, I added in the second image with the helmet because getting hit with a hurl is no joke. Seriously, wear yer helmets kids.
Once again, here's the 🍉 family I'm campaigning for, if you could help them at all I would be eternally grateful, thank you! :

playing camogie as a trans guy is not for the weak, Im a proud camogie player but as its an all girls sport i cant say im a proud camogie player without outing myself. I know i could say i play hurling but i didnt play for the more funded and more praised hurling team, I played for the first under 16 camogie team for my club and was part of the only girl team at a prize giving event for our club. dysphoria and loneliness made me quit but i still love hitting that sliotar around in a field sometimes
My Kickstaerter launches January 20th
Would anyone be interested in a marauders modern Irish school au cus like I think it would be cool but idk if anyone will understand it
Camogie players having to protest the right to wear shorts in the year 2025 is fucking crazy and even worse when you find out they refuse to change the rule
It's a wierd experience to be really queer and also like sports. I havn't done proper sport (outside of P.E. in school) in about two years now, but I really really loved it. It was hard though because while I loved the sport itself, I felt so alienated from my team, they all knew each or had things in common while I was the wierd one, the odd one out who never had a partner for drills (to the point when we had an even number, 3 of the girls went as a group of 3 and my coach had to be my partner). And I was the team goalie, which was such a vulnerable position because it always felt like so much blame was on my shoulders when I was scored against, that pressure and stress got to me, especially since I didn't feel like I had someone in my corner at matches.
There was nothing wrong with the girls, they were lovely and kind but they weren't like me. But now I'm going to college soon, and it seems like such a queer and inclusive place, with so many societies and clubs. I had tears in my eyes realising I could find a community in sports for me again.
My sport was Camogie/Hurling btw, I'm Irish :)
The Irish aspect is kinda relevant, we're a very sporty country with a deep cultural connection to our native sports, to the point where we always wear our GAA jerseys abroad on holidays. So it really felt like I was missing out on an important part of my culture when I quite Camogie, but maybe I can find it again.
Does tumblr know about the Camogie scort-war yet?
