Camp North Star - Ending Ment

This isn't part of the story, I’m just being mushy. Full word count is at the end tho hehe

I wanna start by saying thank you to anyone who read this. I started planning last summer so it was a long time in the making and so much about me had changed in that time I don’t need to get super emotional so suffice it to say I put so many hours of writing, planning, and thought into this au and I love any of you who gave it love.

Thank you to all the anons that sent in asks about or for the au. Massive thank you to @thetypingpup for reading so much of this series and sending in so many asks and getting into the interaction even though you don’t stan some of the groups, you are truly awesome.

Thank you to @delicatewerewolfsoul @gamerwoo and Matcha Anon for letting me talk your ears off about this au and bouncing ideas off of you as I went and encouraging me. Thank you for letting me get excited about it.

Girl’s Cabins

Cabin Vulpecula:

Han Dong (4th Summer)

Lee Gahyeon (1st Summer)

Age Group: 15 - 16 (senior division)

Handong has been doing this for a while

She likes the older girls and a lot of them know her by now

Gahyeon is excited and feisty

It takes a while for her and the campers to get comfy with each other

But Handong helps bridge the gap between their personalities

Gahyeon also has a rivalry with Chan

Which her campers notice right away

And tease her about all the time

Cabin Grus:

Kim Dahyun (2nd Summer)

Son Chaeyoung (1st Summer)

Age Group: 13 - 14 (senior division)

They are a pretty cool cabin

They have the same weird girl energy that their campers do

And they seem to understand each other in a way no one else quite understands

The girls love playing pranks and so do their counsellors

A quiet prank war happens in their cabin for the weeks the campers are there

They might get Cabin Dorado involved if only to piss off Seonghwa and Hongjoong because it’s fun

Cabin Columba:

Hirai Momo (3rd Summer)

Minatozaki Sana (3rd Summer)

Age Group: 12 (junior division)

Momo truly knows all the gossip

Sana wants to but she needs to get the juiciest stuff from Momo

Their cabin is a fun place

Even if the energy is sometimes overwhelming

They get into a good routine and the campers really love them

Their campers insist there is something between them but they’re never admit it

Cabin Cygnus:

Myoui Mina (3rd Summer)

Lee Yoobin (2nd Summer)

Age Group: 10 - 11 (junior division)

Their cabin is the sweetest place on earth

They’re both soft spoken and caring

They have a routine for their campers to help them be comfy

They know when it’s time to be energetic and when it’s time to be quiet and rest

The campers love it and they get lots of hugs and cute pictures at the end of the 4 weeks

Rock Climbing Coaches:

Joshua Hong (4th Summer)

Kim Mingyu (3rd Summer)

These too are so much fun

It’s not uncommon for the kids to like their lessons a lot and say that Josh and Mingyu are their favourites

They might seem like they would be a disaster

But they do know what they’re doing

They do take safety seriously

Even if they tell the kids they don’t just to seem more cool

And Jeongyeon makes sure they they take their job seriously

And truly

Neither of them minds listening to everything Jeongyeon has to say

Hiking Coaches:

Ko Shinwon (4th Summer)

Jung Wooseok (3rd Summer)

I swear they don’t get lost in the woods

They seem like they would

But they are good at navigation

And they know the woods around the camp very well

Jeongyeon also makes them go on walks along their hiking paths before the campers get there

They have to at least know the paths

If you’re very lucky

And very nice to Shinwon

He might share some of his secret snack stash with you

Sports Coaches:

Adachi Yuto (3rd Summer)

Jeong Yunho (2nd Summer)

They are just darlings

Literally everyone loves them

How could you not?

They’re super good with the kids

They’re nice to everyone

Yuto always shares the snacks him mom sends him with his friends

They are so much fun as coaches and even though they’re both a little nervous with it being their first year in the roll they’re both gonna do great

Canoeing Coaches:

Reader (4th Summer)

Jeon Wonwoo (3rd Summer)

Last year you taught with Yanan, this year you’re with Wonwoo and honestly you don’t know much about him

No one really does

He’s quiet and keeps to himself and in his summers so far he hasn’t really come out to any of the staff activities

You know he’s friends with Jihoon and you’ve seen him around

But truly, you’re not sure what to expect with him this summer

You don’t even know if you’ll get along

But honestly after a not so great breakup you’re pretty ready to forget about the past and enjoy yourself for the first time in months

Cabin Lepus

Dance Coaches:

Kim Bora (5th Summer)

Kang Hyunggu (2nd Summer)

They teach dance classes to the campers and they’re hella good dancers

Bora has been here for a hot minute

Hyunggu on the other hand is in his second summer and his first as coach

He is, to put it lightly, a little stressed out

Luckily enough he has an awesome partner to work with

So everything will be fine

So long as his feelings don’t get in the way

Music Coaches:

Lee Siyeon (5th Summer)

Lee Jihoon (4th Summer)

They teach the campers how to play instruments, write songs, and the basics of recording and music production

These two have been working together teaching music for a while now

And they bicker like it too

They basically consider each other to be like a sibling

And take great joy in annoying each other

Jihoon in particular in teasing Siyeon about her feelings for a certain someone who works in the other kind of studio

All the teasing aside though they have a wonderful kind of synergy with each other

And they work together really well

Martial Arts Coaches:

Wen Junhui (4th Summer)

Xu Minghao (3rd Summer)

These two are very good at what they do

Which is honestly a miracle because Jun is a disaster

He is wonderful and very fun

And a cool dude to be around

But he is also a walking disaster that somehow is very put together when teaching and at no other time

He would be a total mess without Minghao making sure he was okay

He’s lucky Minghao cares about him so much

Minghao won’t admit it but Jun does bring out a much more carefree side of him

Archery Coaches:

Lee Seokmin (4th Summer)

Chou Tzuyu (2nd Summer)

Tzuyu was far too good at archery to let her be a counsellor again

She’s also so gentle and kind with the kids

But she’s a little overwhelmed with the new role

And feels pretty lucky to have someone so nice helping her out with her first year as a coach

Seokmin would be lying if he said he wasn’t proud about being able to teach her and show her the ropes

Even if he can’t stop tripping over his feet and getting tongue tied when he talks to her for some reason

Cabin Hydrus

Lifeguards / Swim Instructors:

Yeo Changgu (4th Summer)

Yan An (4th Summer)

Kim Yoohyeon (3rd Summer)

Park Jihyo (3rd Summer)

They got the sweetest deal with only 4 of them in the cabin

Everyone else has 8-9 or children to deal with

It is the smallest cabin though

Yoohyeon and Jihyo are in their first summer as coaches

While Changgu was a lifeguard last year

And Yanan taught canoeing with you

You spend a lot of time with the water people since you have the same supervisors and are under the same activity division so all four of them are your good friends

They’re a lot of fun even if y’all never let each other live anything down
