You and Chaeyoung were walking around the arts and crafts store, at home she already had plenty of art supplies but today you two were on the search for painting supplies. Carefully selecting paints that matched each other's eye color, hair color, skin color, and outfits.
Checking out and leaving the store with a bunch of paintbrushes, paints, and, 2 canvases. The stay-at-home late-night activity was ready.
Opening the door to your shared apartment you both walked in and placed the art supplies on the small table in the living room. Chaeyoung went to the kitchen to get you guys a few snacks to munch on while doing the art project
She came back to the room with some grapes, strawberries, salty chips, cookies, and, some water. You had finished setting up the table having the canvases across from each other so you wouldn’t be able to see what the other person was painting. Putting all of the paint and brushes in the middle so it was easy for your guys to reach over and grab.
“Ready?” She asked as she sat down across from you.
“Yup.” You said nodding your head.
You guys were making portraits of each other a trend you saw online and suggested doing with her as a cute date idea. You grabbed a medium-sized brush and got the light-skinned color paint and started painting Chae. Grabbing multiple brushes and paints, you worked on the details of her face, her cat-like eyes, her mole, and her soft black hair. You could hear her painting you across the table occasionally humming.
After about 40 minutes you both were done.
“Ready?”
She asked as she carefully picked up the canvas.
“Yup, don’t laugh at mine though I tried my best.”
“I won’t I promise. Let me see yours first.”
You picked up the canvas flipping it to show her. She burst out laughing, you tried your best but she could notice your wobbly lines and how you made her look more like a cat than a human.
“It’s cute babe.” She said with a smile admiring it
“You think? I tried my best but I’m not an artist.”
“Yes, I think it’s very cute you made me look like a little cat.”
“Okay, my turn.”
She said picking up her canvas carefully and flipping it towards you. She drew you in her typical art style but still managed to make you look beautiful. You could tell she mainly focused on your eyes since they had the most detail added to them.
“Creepy cute.”
“It looks just like me I love it!”
You called out observing her painting
“We should hang them up yeah? In the hallway or near the entrance so that when people walk in they see us!”
“Yeah, we can let’s hang them up later tonight so they have enough time to dry and don’t stain our walls.”
You nodded in agreement and started to pick up the mess from the paint brushes and paint. Taking the brushes in hand, you threw them in the sink alongside the empty bowl of strawberries that Chae was munching on.
She was still at the table taking a photo of your guys' portraits side by side before getting up and helping you clean. Once finished cleaning the table you both went to the living room where you both sat down and cuddled watching one of her favorite TV shows.
“Thank you for suggesting the portraits, I had a lot of fun next time we can go paint some mugs or a plate together.”
“Yeah, that would be fun! I’ll look into a couple places and we could talk about what one we wanna go to.”
She wrapped her arm around your side and placed a small kiss on the top of your head snuggling in for the rest of the night.
You two would never stop being creative together and finding new ways to show your love and appreciation for each other.
You had been going out casually with Sana for about 2 months now. A few dates every other week. To be honest, you were head over heels for her. Wanting to take the newfound relationship to a new level but you weren't so sure if she felt the same.
When you saw Sana your heart fluttered.
The way she giggled when she saw something cute. Her eyes widened when she ate good food. She could make an entire room fall for her without saying a single word.
It was hard not to fall for the pretty girl.
A part of you was worried she didn't feel the same. 7 dates and yet neither of you have really talked about being something serious. But tonight that had to change. Y/N was ready to make the move and ask Sana to be hers and Y/N to be Sana's.
Y/N spent 2 hours after her day job getting ready for the date. Making sure her hair was perfectly in place and her makeup wouldn’t move an inch the entire night. Wanting to look her very best for the pretty girl she would be meeting up with very soon at a fancy restaurant downtown.
6:30 quickly rolled around and Y/N made sure she had everything ready, Her wallet, lip gloss, a charged phone, car keys, and, a bouquet that she picked for Sana. The bold purple of the lilacs and the soft white roses contrasted each other beautifully. When Y/N realized everything was perfect she made her way to the car starting the engine and driving to the restaurant to meet Sana.
Unfortunately Y/N wasn’t expecting traffic at this hour and ended up being 10 minutes late to the date. She quickly let Sana know about the problem and immediately started apologizing, luckily Sana understood mentioning how she also got stuck in traffic for a little while but luckily ended up beating it unlike you.
Walking into the restaurant at 7:12 you quickly looked around looking for Sana. You saw her facing away sitting in a corner. Your heart started beating you could feel it get faster
With every step and the way your legs turned into jelly barley able to hold yourself up.
“Hi”
You said as you quickly sat across from her handing her the bouquet.
“I’m so sorry I’m late, I got these for you.”
“Aww, how pretty! I wish you had told me you were getting me these I would have got you some too!”
“No worries! I was out shopping and when I saw them I immediately thought of you and how you would like them.”
“You know me well then, they are very pretty.”
She said with that cute smile on her face that you fell for.
We talked about each other's day, how work has been, and things going on in the world. A waitress came around taking our orders of drinks and food. After the waitress left I looked at Sana and laughed blush covering my face.
“What? Is there something on my face?” She asked with a small nervous smile.
“No No nothing at all, your hair just looks really cute like that.”
A bit of time had passed we were about halfway done eating our meals.
“I actually wanted to talk to you about something.”
“Hm?” Sana asked as she tilted her head a little and continued chewing on her food.
“These past two months have meant a lot to me…”
I could feel my face and ears getting hotter and her soft eyes watching over me.
“I really enjoy being with you. Finding out more about you has made me as happy as I could be, I’ve put a lot of thought into it and I know that I want us to be something serious..and not just something casual.”
Sana moved her attention to you completely taking in the words you had to say and holding them close to her heart.
“I think you are funny, kind, emotional, and, beautiful. I want to spend my time with you learning more about you and standing beside you making sure you are okay and you don’t ever feel alone.”
“Sana I want to be your girlfriend and I want you to be mine.”
The conversation came out like it was natural like I wasn’t nervous at all, like I didn’t feel my heart beating outside of my rib cage.
“I can tell you put a lot of thought into your words, and it means a lot knowing that you feel this way. It’s kinda shocking that someone would have such a beautiful confession for someone they have only known for two months.”
Sana said with a smile and blush forming on her cheeks.
“I’m very thankful knowing that you feel the same way as I do”
“I also want to find out more about you Y/N. I want to see what you look like when you wake up in the mornings before work and I want to go get groceries with you things that old people do together.”
“I’d love to be your girlfriend Y/N..”
A bright beautiful smile was on her face. I could never doubt her words when she looked at me like that. In that moment we both knew that we were going to be okay, no matter what obstacles the world threw at us we would be okay because we had each other.
…
That night we left the restaurant hand in hand looking at the dark sky that shone as bright as it could. We would love each other to the moon and back.
We would love and take care of each other so much that even the stars in the sky were jealous and wished for what we had.
The end

being twenty-something and still needing to ask staff to drive you around had started to become tiring real fast. you wanted freedom, alone time... and honestly, you just wanted to choose what music was playing in the car. plus, it was something you felt would help you feel more secure in having only yourself to depend on. it would be another milestone to maturity, instead of constantly having to depend on others.
the thought had popped up on numerous occasions during tour, but it had bubbled back to the forefront of your mind the second you'd gotten home. because you needed to get something for your apartment... and wanted to attend a pilates class... and were craving hotpot. but needing to call a cab under an alias and hoping the driver didn't recognise you behind your mask, or ask staff to pick you up and tag along, was not in your plans. no matter how much you adored staff, you wanted to do it yourself. you wanted to spend some time alone for once.
only then did you realise you didn't have to keep stalling getting your license until you were out of the public eye. jihyo and jeongyeon had their license. sana and tzuyu, as well. and heck, if nayeon-unnie had gotten her driver's license in just a few lessons, you sure could too.
"i think i'm finally gonna just do it."
your voice sounded over the bubbling and the sizzling of the hotpot in the noisy restaurant, and sana looked up.
"eh?"
"i'm getting my driver's licsence."
"oh!" sana gushed, "that's so exciting! you won't regret it!"
""for all the right reasons or for sana's reason?" chaeyoung snickered.
"hey!" sana shot back, but her wide smile betrayed her, "it was embarassing having to look myself up on the internet to show people who i was and that i was of age!"
jihyo laughed, "i still can't believe you went through all the hassle and lessons just to have an id, but then to never drive again."
"i don't like it all that much, it overwhelms me." sana sank into her seat, pout on her face.
you stirred through the pot in the middle of the table, "well- i want to actually know how to drive, so..."
"finally!" nayeon sighed, exasperated, "i need someone else than jeongyeon to drive me around."
jeongyeon looked up after hearing that, nodding almost immediately, "i don't think that's such a bad idea, y/n."
"i know," you sighed, "i just never got to it and when i did have the time, it felt like the wrong moment. like i wasn't ready."
"you really need to want it. so if you feel like this is the moment, i'd say go for it." jeongyeon tapped your chopsticks away with her own when you were about to pick out a piece of food that was still raw.
"what makes you feel ready now?" jihyo wondered.
"she wants to drive to her lover's house without staff knowing." nayeon snickered, immediately getting nudged by sana. but sana betrayed her true feelings when a poorly masked grin slipped passed.
"no offence, by the way." nayeon added, grinning innocently at one of your managers and another staff member sitting opposite her.
"absolutely none taken."
you merely rolled your eyes, "bold of you to assume i have time for dating when i spend all my time with you glued to me."
"ya! you love it! don't act like you don't!" nayeon shrieked, pointing her chopsticks at you, making droplets of spicy broth fly into your face.
"i'm sure mina doesn't." sana muttered quietly, expression on mischief duty when she looked up to see your reaction.
seven sets of eyes were on you then, and the attention made your cheeks warm.
before they could ask what sana's suspicous comment was about, jeongyeon saved you. she put some food on your plate, "it's worth it. you'll love driving around everywhere once you get comfortable."
jihyo nodded, "it's terrifying for a while, especially in the city where it'll feel like everything's coming at you all at once-" she realised she wasn't selling her point, and added, "-but you'll be singing through traffic in no time."
"... i don't know about that."
"i do." jihyo smiled reassuringly.
your manager nodded, "you're level-headed and responsible enough."
"i'd trust you enough to fall asleep if you were driving." chaeyoung tapped your leg with the tip of her shoe underneath the table, trying to get your attention and cheer you up.
"i just don't know if i have enough time for it. we're already back to crazy schedules soon."
"i had a really great instructor. pretty laidback but funny too. he was lenient with scheduling lessons last-minute whenever i had some time off. i can see if he's available?" jeongyeon was already pulling out her phone.
"yeah, and then jeongyeon and i can help teach you whenever there's time. just easy stuff like car handling and parking."
from the other side of the table, nayeon wheezed, "easy-?!"
"just because your coordination is miles off, doesn't mean y/n's is."
"please let me be in the backseat." nayeon shot back, all shit's and giggles though, "i wanna see how she does."
jeongyeon ignored her, "it'll have to be on a parking lot, though. can't have headlines going 'twice's y/n drove into incoming traffic'."
"an empty parking lot." jihyo nodded solemnly, then sniggered when she saw your face.
"oh- a really empty parking lot!" jeongyeon added, the two of them having way too much fun riling you up.
"ya!"
your corner of the restaurant erupted with laughter. but what everyone failed to see, were your manager and staff locking eyes-- you had just given them the perfect idea.
two days later and right after practice, you walked onto the empty parking lot your instructor had picked out to meet for the first time. slightly terrified of being in a car for two hours with a strange man, and the general nerves that came with driving a car for the first time, you'd begged jihyo and jeongyeon to tag along with you. after a few teases from jihyo and a playful eyerol from jeongyeon, they had agreed immediately.
the only thing you hated? you'd gotten a call yesterday evening letting you know that your pre-planned tw-log episode would be scrapped and swapped with filming your first driving lesson instead. did you like it? no. did it make you more nervous knowing that you'd be filmed during your first few miles in a car? oh, without a doubt. but it was a sacrifice you had to make. you would rather film an episode now and get the day your tw-log episode was planned off. because days off were scarce. besides, you knew it would be mina's day off as well. so it would finally give you a reason to buy the new lego set she had been talking about and build it together.
"remember- use your mirrors." jeongyeon massaged your shoulders while you waited.
jihyo nodded, "and beware of your blind spots."
you silently sipped the last few drops from the iced coffee jihyo had bought you on the way over, trying to calm your nerves.
"y/n-yah, you're going to do just fine." jihyo bumped your shoulder and looked at you with soft, supportive eyes. she could practically see the worries brewing behind your eyes.
the three of you saw movement at the parking lot entrance. a black van drove up, followed by a way smaller car with a roof signage and decals that read novice driver.
the van stopped right in front of you, and a staff member you knew was part of the audio-visual team got out.
"we're going to film an introduction first, then do some outer shots while you guys are in the car. then we'll follow you guys in this car when the lesson goes on the road. the car is already rigged up with mics and cameras."
"on the road?! i don't even know how to start it yet!" your eyes were wide, your tone incredulous, "great. my existential crisis is going to be on the internet."
jeongyeon started laughing when she saw the panic on your face, but she schooled her features when you glanced at her, "you'll be okay. promise."
"the instructor won't let you do anything he thinks you're not ready for yet." jihyo hooked her arm around yours, "and remember, he has pedals too so he can always take over."
"this is going to be content, isn't it?"
jeongyeon burst out laughing again, "absolutely."
the crew placed you, with jihyo and jeongyeon on either side of you, in front of the car. you already knew you would end up in many a 'funny twice moments' videos from the introduction bit alone.
filming started.
"are you excited?" staff asked.
"well, i played a lot of racer games growing up, and i always enjoyed those."
it was silent for a while. you could feel your friends reacting beside you and knew their faces would end up as close-ups.
jeongyeon pinched the bridge of her nose, "that's the worst answer you could've given."
"she's talking about mario kart, by the way." jihyo quietly muttered.
you ignored them, "i don't think i'll be a safety hazard."
"you sound really confident."
then, staff turned to your members, "are you here for moral support?"
"i just want to say, we did not agree to this." jeongyeon shook her head solemnly.
"do our insurances even cover this?"
"ya!" you playfully smacked jihyo's back a few times while she laughed.
after the intro was filmed and the niceties of a first meeting were out of the way, it was time to start. your instructor had given a quick rundown of everything in the car. he was surprisingly calm, although maybe he was putting on his nice act because he was being filmed. only time would tell.
"we're going to get comfortable with the vehicle first. nothing too crazy yet. so no pressure." he pointed at the cameras, and you couldn't quite tell if he was being sarcastic or not, "okay?"
"okay."
you tuned your mirrors. adjusted your seat at least five times. then readjusted your mirrors again when you had pushed your seat a bit too far. but then you couldn't quite reach the pedals anymore, so you adjusted your seat again. and the mirrors. and the steering wheel. and then the mirrors... again.
the instructor waited patiently.
jeongyeon leaned into one of the cameras pointed at her, and whispered into it loud enough for you all to hear, "i think we need to swap the sd cards already."
trying to not let it show that she'd been quietly snickering too, jihyo nudged her into silence.
"is everything just right for you now?" your instructor asked.
"i think so." warmth crept up your neck, "i'm sorry. i've never been in control of a vehicle before."
he reassured you before giving you a little rundown of what you would do next.
"make sure the gear is on neutral and your handbrake is on... or we're going to shoot forward."
you did as told.
your instructor nodded, "yep, just like that. hold down the clutch with your left foot now. all the way down. keep it down and turn the keys."
the car's engine roared to life.
"now you can safely and slowly take your foot off the clutch."
he clapped, a silly smile on his face, "you've officially started a car for the first time ever."
a relieved sigh left you, and jihyo and jeongyeon cheered with him.
"how do you feel about driving your first lap around the parking lot? just a slow-pace, nothing too crazy."
"good, i guess."
he nodded, pointed at the clutch, "press the pedal to the floor with your left foot again. and move the stick into first gear. yes! great... okay, now tap the gas a little like we practiced."
"oh!" you grinned, embarassed, when the car roared so loud that some people walking by turned around. you had pressed the gas a little too enthusiastically.
"it's okay. you'll get a feel for it the more you practice. do you want to try that again?"
you nodded. you had long forgotten the plenty of cameras planted all around and in the car. biting down on your lip and furrowing your brows like you were solving a terribly difficult puzzle, you tried again.
you pressed the accelerator ever so slowly while at the same time slowly letting go of the clutch.
"great! when you think the accelerator has taken over from the clutch, slowly put down the handbreak."
you did as you were told, and before long, the car started to roll forward. slowly. very slowly.
"don't be afraid to take your foot entirely off the clutch, you're in first gear now." your instructor pointed for you to steer a bit to your right, "let's go a little bit faster. you can do it."
you took the most ridiculously wide turn ever, but you had to cut yourself some slack-- you were steering a car for the very first time. everything was new. you just had to get used to it.
"hey! look at you!" jihyo cheered from the backseat.
"you got this, y/n!" jeongyeon beamed from ear to ear.
"excellent. okay- now you can press the clutch again. we can go into second gear... slowly... slowly let go-" the car stuttered ever so slightly, but as you pressed the gas simultaneously like you were told to, you managed to keep it from stalling, "yes! now give more gas. you can hear it's struggling in this gear with the lack of speed."
you drove around the parking lot, turning each time you reached its end with another wide and comical turn.
"i want you to stop near that green car next. remember what you practiced. you know the steps."
you did as told, but the car started stuttering like crazy as soon as you pressed the brake. jihyo and jeongyeon stumbled and shook in the backseat.
"press the clutch simultaneously when you brake this much, y/n." your instructor pressed his own pedals to help the car to a smooth stop when he saw you started to panic.
jeongyeon felt bad the second she saw your rigid posture and death grip on the steering wheel, "you're doing better than nayeon already, and she drove automatic."
through the rearview mirror you gave her a nervous smile, which looked more like a grimace. you were too focused for jokes right now.
a few practice rounds later, the instructor turned in his seat to face you, "i think it's time for the next level."
"great. but next time, please."
jihyo and jeongyeon started laughing from the backseat,
"she said 'i'm done now, thank you!'."
they fell against each other in a heap of giggles.
"don't be nervous. you're doing great."
"you think i'm ready?"
"yes."
for a split second, your eyes wandered to the rearview mirror to look for the silent confirmation of your friends. when they nodded and gave you encouraging smiles and thumbs up, you took a deep breath.
"okay then."
after a tiny break where staff could change up some batteries and prepare the van to follow and film, you got back into the car.
"how are you feeling so far?" staff asked.
"good. i haven't run over someone."
and with that, the second part of your lesson started.
"we're going to get on the street now. there'll be traffic, but i'm sitting right here with you."
you heard your friends in the back click their seatbelts shut and just knew how the clip would be edited-- you, nervous behind the wheel. and jihyo and jeongyeon making playful scared faces in the backseat while putting their seatbelts on.
your knuckles turned white from how hard you were gripping the steering wheel when you rolled away from the parking lot.
"i am one with the vehicle." you muttered to yourself as you stopped to check if it was safe to turn onto the street. "i control the vehicle, it doesn't control me."
at hearing that, jihyo turned to the camera and did a silent prayer. jeongyeon immediately grabbed the roof handle.
the instructor smiled, trying not to let his amusement show, "nice and gentle turn. perfect. now keep driving straight until i tell you to turn. watch your spacing on the road."
you drove for a couple of minutes without making a sound. the silence in the car started to become comical. it was clear how focused you were and, not wanting to ruin your concentration, jihyo and jeongyeon kept silent as well. but it was hard. usually, you were the member who tossed dry comments witihout another thought. now? you were the quietest they'd ever seen.
even the editors of the episode edited dramatic music and slow zoom-ins.
"do you see that billboard? i want you to turn right there."
"i see it."
you checked your mirrors again.
"right turn approaching. brake a little more. now turn the wheel smoothly after you've checked your blindspots."
"okay."
"turn it more."
"i am."
"a little more-"
the car took the widest turn ever, and instead of following and returning to your lane, you ended up on the other side of the road.
"y/n!" jihyo was leaning fully to the right, trying to steer along with you with her entire body. "turn!!"
"i am!!"
"onto their driveway?!" jeongyeon asked, gripping the handle tighter than ever.
the instructor couldn't help but let a chuckle slip past his lips while adjusting your steering, "we'll keep on practicing."
the camera caught your face-- you looked mortified. then it cut to you driving on a slightly busier street now. and more cars meant more focus. and more focus meant... going as fast as a snail to keep up with everything that was coming at you.
jeongyeon rolled down the window, hung her head outside and turned to talk to the air, "grandma! out on your walk today? nice weather, huh?"
jihyo snorted and smacked her head, "be nice."
the staff van behind you filmed a shot of an entire queue that had started to form behind your car, adding text that said 'we'll arrive... eventually!'.
but things soon improved. after another fifteen minutes, your nerves settled. your steering went smoother and more accurate, your breaking became softer, your confidence in letting go the clutch without stalling grew, and you sat more relaxed in your seat than before.
the instructor pointed it all out, complimenting you a couple of times.
"very nice."
"you're listening well."
"see? nothing to be insecure about. you learn quickly." he pointed out.
finally, a tiny smile formed on your face, "really?"
"absolutely. you just need more experience and you're good to go in no-time."
a breathy chuckle left you, "so i'm not a lost cause?"
"definitely not."
you looked oddly relived. then, a shit-eating and proud grin started to pull at the corners of your mouth. the switch-up from nervous to smug was immediate and nothing short of amusing.
"don't feed her ego, sir."
but it had already gone to your head. there'd been too much talking. too much joking.
you'd lost your focus.
the instructor quickly pointed ahead in a reminder to slow down, but in vain. you felt the speed bump before you saw it.
the entire car bounced. four heads nearly hit the roof of the car. jeongyeon, who hadn't been aware of anything, let out the most dramatic gasp imaginable and ducked. jihyo, blissfully unaware as well, clutched onto the seat in front of her for dear life.
"ssib-what was that?!"
jeongyeon still had her eyes closed, "are we good?!"
the bang of the speed bump hitting the bottom of the car with your speed, resounded in your head. if you didn't know any better, you had just ruined the entire bottom frame of the car.
"im so sorry! im so so so-"
you had lost all focus now and were driving with your arms outstretched, pressing yourself back into the seat. your instructor tried to pacify your worries. to no avail.
"i don't want to drive anymore- can we stop?"
they heard the sincerity of your voice, and immediately all sillyness was gone.
"y/n, it's okay."
"you're safe."
your instructor took over and parked the car on the side of the road. "let's take a little breather."
there the four of you sat, in silence, until jeongyeon couldn't help it anymore and snorted from the backseat.
that did it. it broke the tension.
sheepishly, you smiled a little, though the shock hadn't truly left you yet.
the instructor couldn't help but chuckle to remove your worry, "it's okay, y/n. that was on me. and the car's gone through worse."
"ya! i almost became one with the roof!" jihyo couldn't stop laughing now.
of course, the editors replayed your little accident. four times. from all different angles, perfectly capturing everyone's reaction. then again, but in slow motion. then they showed the clip that the van following you had taken of the exact moment the car bounced. jihyo and jeongyeon could be seen flying in the backseat, despite their seatbelts.
"when you're ready, you can check your mirrors, signal left and we'll drive back to the parking lot. are you okay with that?"
"yeah, i think so."
but you were still overwhelmed. the shock and panic hadn't left you yet. your hands were sweaty. and your focus was clouded.... which showed the second you tried to turn onto the road and made the car stall so badly that all of you launched forward, only to be pushed back into your seat seconds later... and that three times in a row.
"okay- okay," your instructor helped you and pressed the clutch on his pedals, then put the car back in neutral. "do you want me to drive back?"
you let out the biggest relieved breath imaginable, "yes, please."
the cameras cut for the time being.
it was quiet on the drive back. you were reflecting and replaying everything that had happened the past hour. you were embarrassed beyond no end. it was one thing it had happened at all, but an entirely different thing that it had happened for the entire internet to see. you beat yourself up for it. jeongyeon saw your gaze drifting out the window, eyes glazing over in that distant look you usually had after long gruelling days where new routines or high notes didn't come to you as easily as usual.
she leaned forward and squeezed your shoulder, "y/n, be easy on yourself. this is your first time in a car. you're doing really great all things considered."
jihyo nodded, "and trust yourself a little more. you hesitate because you don't, and then lose focus. don't be in your head about it."
sullen and disappointed in yourself, you replied, "but i don't want to make mistakes."
"experience doesn't come without mistakes."
you let their words settle a little. you didn't do 100%, ever. you always gave 200%. hard work, passion, determination and complete dedication always equalled perfection. it had done so for the past few years, anyway. and you had tried the same tactic today, even though it had been clear from the get-go that this was something way different entirely and completely out of your ballpark. driving was serious business, and thinking about all the mistakes you'd already made so far, made you feel defeated. you couldn't depend on any of your usual strategies with this one, and that made you more nervous than ever.
your friends knew you well enough to know where your mind had gone. they knew exactly how you worked and could see in the mirror that it frustrated you that this was an entirely different playing field than you were used to. your usual strategy didn't work here. you'd lost your footing for a split second and you absolutely hated yourself for it.
"y/n-yah, be proud of yourself. you're doing something way out of your comfort zone." jihyo pointed out. "you can't expect to have the experience of an average driver on your first lesson. not everything can be achieved with hard work. sometimes time and repetition are what works. you'll get there."
you heard the words of your leader and tried to let them soothe your worries. the car fell quiet for the rest of the drive. it wasn't awkward or tense. it was comfortable. supportive.
when the car stopped back where all of this had started on the parking lot, the instructor turned to you,
"i actually don't want to end my lessons after a little hiccup like the one from before. because then it can be harder for students to want to get back behind the wheel." he started, "how about we do another few laps in first gear and some parking techniques and end it on a high note? it's just us here on the parking lot. you were doing so great before and i could tell you were getting more relaxed."
you thought about it for a while. then looked at jihyo and jeongyeon sitting in the backseat.
"your call."
you pondered it over once more. you had to give it to him-- the moments from before kept replaying in your head and your heart had barely stopped thumping in your ears from the shock. maybe he was right. and... you were never known to be a quitter. injured or sick, you would still try and show up in a way that wouldn't make you miss out on anything or jeopordise your group. why would this be different?
"okay."
the cameras started again. they filmed some of your parking and turning. then some laps around the parking lot where you practiced turning and checking your mirrors and blindspots.
by the final lap around the practice course, you looked entirely different from half an hour ago.
still careful. still slow. but smiling. actually smiling this time.
the instructor folded his arms, "there she is."
"hm?"
"the relaxed driver."
you laughed, "i think that's a big stretch."
"it's progress, nonetheless."
when you climbed out of the car like you'd just won a grand prix, bowing and waving, staff applauded and cheered accordingly.
"where's my champagne shower?"
jihyo nudged you in the ribs, scolding you because you were still being filmed, but a proud smile broke free only moments later.
"i've never been this exhausted before." you sighed and raked a hand through your hair, hoping the cameras didn't pick up on how much you'd been sweating.
jeongyeon wrapped her arms around you, "you did great."
"i almost launched all of us into space."
jihyo cracked up thinking about it again, then quieted, "but you also improved more than you realise. your first twenty minutes and your last twenty minutes were completely different."
"you think so?"
she nodded at you, brows risen and proud grin on full display.
"we won't talk about the rest." jeongyeon waved it off playfully, then pulled you in her arms again the second you were about to protest. jihyo joined the hug, wrapping her arms around both of you. the three of you started to jump in your place.
"so- this was a success?" staff asked off-camera.
you turned to the camera and pointed. finally, the confident y/n that once adored came out, "give me three months- i'll be driving everywhere!"
"citizens of seoul- beware. she'll be on the road soon."
somewhere behind the cameras, staff were already pitching a second part. because if there was one thing they'd learned that day, it was that watching you quietly lock in while jeongyeon and jihyo dissolved into laughter or pure panic, was internet gold.
a/n: ngl, this was the most fun one to write to date 😭 i could practically see this happening as i wrote it, so it pretty much wrote itself. also- go watch the nayeon x jeongyeon driving episode if you haven't yet! no better comedy. it was what inspired this fic.
if you guys want a part 2 in whatever way, (different members with you, with or without camera, your first drive with license with them etc), let me know!

Story: While working as a designer in Seoul, you get booked for Chaeyoung's Solo Album.
Warnings: None :)
Author's Note: Back from the dead... There will be a part two.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
Being a fashion designer in Seoul meant to work for very important people. Occasionally, companies reached out to you, asking for outfits for comebacks or debuts. Most of the time, these companies liked the trends and demanded trendy clothing as well as assescories.
Your shop lies deep within the small alleys of Seoul. Normally, people did not enter your store by accident. Anyone stumbling into your little world either got lost or had the purpose of needing something to wear.
So, even though companies asked for trendy clothes, your store looked like a Tim Burton movie set. From weird dressed in every shape and form to quirky pants or tops. everything has its own charm. The fabrics hanging out in the store mostly consist of polka dots or stripes. Some other fabric roles contain lacey fabrics in every colour imaginable.
You, as the owner of this store, look equally as weird. A skirt with no particular design thrown over your straight jeans. The stripped shirt looked like it came directly from David Bowies private closet. Big boots clacking against the floor whilst you arrange the orders for your customers.
A little cotton ball covered with fabric is tied around your wrist. The cotton ball holds sewing needles in all different sizes. Fabric samples of all kinds are sewn to a belt tied around your waist.
The music in the store ranges from the cocteau twins to other even more unknown artists. Dust gently flows through the room, resting on the shelves.
The ringing of a bell pulls you out of your concentrated state. You quickly pack up the last package for the company hybe. They again requested something flashy for their trendy new group, Cortis.
The heavy sounds of your boots signal your arrival to the customer who just entered. Upon entering the front of the store, you lock eyes with a few people. Your eyes widen with curiosity.
“Hello. How can I help you?” Your voice soft and almost too quiet for the loud fabrics hung up around you.
The different people glance at you with determination.
“Greetings. Are you Y/n?”
The direct question makes you even more curious.
“Yes, that is me. How can I help you? Did you order some clothes?”
One of the people steps forward and hands you a pile of papers.
“We’re from the JYP Company. Our design management would like to design a collection with you regarding a solo album from one of our artists.”
Your eyes fleet over the paperwork for a few seconds. The papers contain sketches and design ideas, as well as general ideas on how the album is supposed to look like. Your eyes meet the ones of the youger man.
“Who is the person going solo?” You ask as you set the papers down and mark something into your calendar.
“Son Chaeyoung from Twice. I’m sure you're aware of the contracts you have to sign about keeping everything under the radar until the album is fully released.”
You nod and wave around with your hand, gesturing that you’re used to the general idol secrecy stuff. Meanwhile, you look up Chaeyoung and take a look at the woman. She and the ideas for her solo album would fit your sewing type more than any other idol ever has.
You’re more than intrigued by her. Whilst looking at her image, you note down some ideas in your notebook.
“I need an in person meeting with her and the stylists. To get her siyes and everything. We also need to discuss things such as materials and time management. Write me an email. I’ll look forward to this.” You smile lazily at the crew and hand them a not with a few open slots in your calendar.
“Those are the general times that I can fit in those appointments. Make sure she is also here. I always discuss the fitting and the outfits with the artist in person.” You mumble and disappear back into the dark corners of the shop.
The crew, slightly amazed by your appearance and the way you carry yourself, just takes the note and leaves the shop.
It only takes a few days until the crew messages you a few dates for the sizing of chaeyoung. You take the date that fits the best into your packed schedule and continue searching for fabrics or ideas that could be used for her solo debut.
The day of Chaeyoungs sizing arrives, and it’s hectic. You forgot to pack an order for another group and now you’re a bit behind programm and stressed. If you’re lucky the package will arrive just on time. If not, the company will send you a very serious e-mail and complain about a draging process, which will definitely affect their schedule as well.
You’re deep in packaging when a group - smaller than the one that entered a few days ago - enters the store. With them is now a young woman. Her clothes are oversized and seem a bit too fashionable for a regular South korean. She is petite. You can see that through the clothing. A hat, a mask, and some sunglasses cover her face completely. She takes the covers up as soon as everyone is inside.
You finish packing up and make your way to the front. The woman, probably Chaeyoung, glances at you. Her eyes rake over your outfit and then through the store. She smiles as though she is happy to be in here.
You send her a smile back and wait for them to introduce themselves. The petite woman bows down.
“Hello. I’m Chaeyoung, and this is my team. We’re here for the sizing?” She kind of questions, given the hectic look you had when she entered.
“Yes yes. The sizing. I remember. I’m Y/n” You quickly respond and walk back around the table to gather some materials.
“There is a wardrobe in the back of the store. You can change out of the clothes so we can start as soon as possible.” You gesture for Chaeyoung. She nods and walks into the back of the store. The small crew she brought with her relaxed and stretched out through the store.
after some minutes, you hear her walk out of the wardrobe. She is in her underwear. You keep your eyes to the floor out of respect. She positions for the different meassure that you have to take. Even though you try to be respectful, you can’t help but eye the tattoos that she has. They wary of colour and saturation. Some of the tattoos seem really cool and uniqe.
Chaeyoung notices your eyes drifting over her tattoos. She smiles and shows them to you.
“They’re cool, right?” You glance at them, the ink burning into your eyes. You slowly nod at her, now a bit more shy as she had caught you staring. She grins, seeing the way you try to hide the way you have been looking at her.
You take all the meassures you need and scribble them down onto a notepad. The notepad disappears inside of your pant pockets, and then you take a few steps to give the idol some space.
“You can change back into your normal clothes now. I’m done with taking your meassures. We’d just need to make another appointment for the vision and the planning.” You explain while Chaeyoung disappears behind the curtain.
You walk back to the front and plan the next meeting with the crew Chaeyoung arrived with. She arrives at the front a few minutes later. Some manager wraps everything up, and Chaeyoung hides her identity behind a mask, a cap, and some sunglasses. Before leaving, she hands you a crumbled piece of paper and sends you a curious look over the rim of her sunglasses.
You take the piece of paper and hold it close while watching the crew alongside Chaeyoung leave.

─𓈒ㅤׂ 𝜗𝜚 summary: you join jeongyeon while on a day off, but lose her during shopping. you try to make the most of it and not panic, completely unbothered and not worried at all, while your unnie is having the worst hour of her life trying to find you.

it was hard to have a proper day off in between tour stops, but seeing as you were in the same city for the next three days, the schedule allowed for one day to yourself before the hectic but fun storm of touring started again.
you'd half expected to do some sightseeing prior to getting reservations at a hotpot place with some of the girls, like you usually would. but at breakfast, jeongyeon had other plans. wether you liked it or not, she immediately roped you into her plans to visit a mall to stock up on vitamins and dog food. she had convinced you with the promise that there were enough fun stores she knew you liked as well. it wasn't until she said she'd buy you whatever snack you wanted at the food court that your expression went from careful consideration to immediate delight.
jeongyeon laughed the second she saw you approach the car with only a tiny handbag hanging loosely on your wrist.
"are you going shopping for a family of ants?" she gestured to your pouch barely as big as your hand, the corners of her mouth curling up into a teasing grin and her eyes twinkling.
"big shopping bags kill my vibe."
"you're wearing joggers and socks in sandals. your vibe is already beyond saving."
"that's trendy now!" playfully, you smacked her arm with your pouch before climbing into the car that staff had rented.
so, off you went. jeongyeon, one of your managers and you drove to what the internet promised to be the biggest mall in the area.
an episode of a true crime podcast later, your manager turned around in the driver seat as the two of you jumped out,
"wait for me inside, i'm going to find a parking spot. we have around two hours here if we want to make it to lunch with the others. let's stick together, yeah?"
jeongyeon saluted, "yes, ma'am. i'm a responsible adult."
you copied her, "ah- me too."
jeongyeon and your manager both snorted.
"rendezvous is at the entrance, near the revolving doors."
"aye-aye." you grabbed your tiny handbag off the backseat and hooked your arm around jeongyeon's.
"adventure time with unnie." you gushed as you looked up at the gigantic multi-stories mall, curious what was waiting for you inside.
jeongyeon couldn't help but break into a laugh when she pulled you along with her.
if the mall looked huge on the outside, it was absolutely enormous on the inside. you didn't know where to start looking: flashy store signs, fountains, a giant chandelier hanging from the ceiling- it overwhelmed you but intrigued you all the same. there were escalators that brought you four stories high, someone was playing on a piano and an aquarium served as a wall between sections. the smell of sweet and freshly fried dough met your senses.
you gasped, eyes wide as you looked around, "it's like disneyland."
jeongyeon snickered quietly, because while you were unaware, she had started filming you.
"unnie!" you enthused. then, low and under your breath, though the video picked it up nonetheless- "i love having no budget."
"she's more amazed at a mall than a sold-out nissan stadium."
you recognised the tone of voice and turned to her, suspicious, then saw her with her phone up and shrieked.
"hey!" you hid your face in your hood, "i look horrible today, don't post that anywhere online." you whined.
"you look great," jeongyeon's voice was sincere, and you trusted her, "it's just for the girls."
"okay."
once you were reunited with your manager, the adventure officially started. it was time for the grocery store on the first floor first.
jeongyeon was pushing the cart, the both of you stuffing it with things you'd never heard of before or things you knew one of your members would like. so far, you'd gotten some sour gummies for sana, chocolates for dahyun, a tamagotchi for momo and a sudoku book for mina.
"unnie, can you take some photos of me?" you asked your manager-nim when you passed the ongoing wall of colourful cereal boxes. you'd never seen such a thing back home, or anywhere else in the world.
jeongyeon leaned on the cart and watched, an amused grin on her face.
"oh, so now it can be posted online? i thought you said you looked horrible?" she teased.
"well- you got my bad angle."
"you only have bad ones."
"yah!"
she laughed loudly. and then, wether she wanted to or not, got pulled inside the frame for the impromptu photoshoot.
"now i want some with jeongyeon-unnie. can you turn the optical zoom off and hold it at an angle?"
but you didn't need to tell your manager anything, for this was basically part of her job-description by now. and she had definitely mastered the craft of photo-taking and knew just how you liked them.
an hour and a few stores later, the shopping cart had made way for multiple bags. your photo roll was filled with photos of you with the aquarium in the background, some of you in a cute corner at build-a-bear and some with a paper cone of churro's you'd shared with jeongyeon and your manager.
"did you really need those three jackets?"
you hummed absentmindedly, eyes already landing on something that reminded you of tzuyu.
"but they're all the same colour."
"exactly."
"at this point, you're going to need a shipping container to get all the stuff you bought on tour back home."
staff laughed, jeongyeon laughed, and so did you. it were these lighthearted moments in between the chaos of idol life that made all the tough days more than worth it. yes, it was a lot to have on your plate at times and yes, you were gone from family and away from home for most of the year. but you were with your second family and home away from home, no matter how corny that sounded.
you stepped into another clothing store and within a minute, you were already disappearing into a fitting room with a handful of items.
"unnie, can you hold onto this for me?" you held out your phone as best as you could while balancing the stack of clothes.
"sure, i'll put it with my wallet." she took it from you, then grumbled loud enough so that you could hear: "this is why you should bring a bigger bag next time."
you playfully rolled your eyes and shuffled and fidgeted in the fitting room, already putting some clothes on the big no pile before even stepping out to show them.
"how's that top looking?"
"don't ask."
"and the cute sweater?"
"it makes me feel like a potato on legs."
jeongyeon and your manager exchanged a look, rolled their eyes and tried to keep themselves from laughing.
they both looked up when you slid the curtain to the side a few moments later.
"what do you think? should i buy it?"
"biggest yes ever."
"it looks really good on you."
ten minutes later, you all walked into a niche store hidden in a quiet corner of the mall somewhere on the third floor.
your manager stopped the two of you before you went in, "it's gotta be a quick browse, we have lunch reservations soon."
"quick browse. got it." you saluted again.
you wandered through the store. there was a stationary section with a sheep theme and kitchen utensils in cute pastel colours. they sold handwoven totes and cute stained-glass effect drinking glasses. but the strawberry themed section was what caught your eye. immediately, you thought of chaeyoung.
there were ceramic cups and tea pots. oven mittens. coasters. and what looked to be a knitted pouch with 'my strawberry boo' stitched on the front. it was perfect.
"unnie!" delighted at your find, you picked it up and looked around the store. "look what i found!"
but there was no jeongyeon in sight.
"jeongie?"
no answer. she probably went to the till or was waiting at the shop entrance for you to finish up. you must have lost track of time, after all. you headed there, but no jeongyeon or manager were to be seen.
while the clerk was taking their sweet time to wrap your gift, you kept looking around. but your eyes didn't land on a familiar face.
when you stepped out the store, with chaeyoung's gift and your shopping bags in hand, you still didn't see them.
this was... weird. and very unlike them. had you missed something? had you been so focused on finding the perfect gift that you hadn't heard them? or maybe they had gone to the restroom. or another shop. or jeongyeon got recognised and manager-nim had taken her somewhere else. though that made it even more weird that they'd left without you.
people walked by as you stood there with a sullen look on your face. families, tourists, high-schoolers and elderly couples all passed, but jeongyeon never did.
you reached for your handbag, rummaged around in it and panicked: aside form your wallet, a lip balm and some thingamabobs, your phone was nowhere to be felt. then your stomach dropped-- jeongyeon still had your phone.
okay, so.
that wasn't ideal.
far from it.
you started to feel more stupid with each passing second as you stood there: slumped shoulders, furrowed brows and biting down on the worried pout that had started to appear on your face.
what were you to do in this situation? the only other time something like this had happened, had been when you were five and your parents had lost sight of you the second you'd walked passed a gachapon machine. you had started crying as soon as you realised, but had been scooped up in your mother's arms moments after she heard you.
so, you waited a little longer, hoping that wherever they'd gone, they would return from soon.
but they didn't.
so, you made up your mind.
it was best to go to the rendezvous point instead of looking for them in a mall as big as your old neighbourhood. if they were looking for you too, they would soon come to the same conclusion and find you there.
but after sitting on the bench near the revolving doors, waiting for another ten minutes and still seeing no one, you started to feel restless.
a thought popped into your head: they could be at the car. it would be odd, surely, but time was ticking and you knew you were running late for your lunch with the others. it was highly possible your manager had gone to the car to load all the bags in the trunk to cut time so you could finish finding a gift for chaeyoung.
with your mind made up, you walked outside. your eyes glanced across the car park. a plethora of different cars stood parked in all sizes and colours, but nowhere did you see your rental.
the realisation happened slowly.
you lost your unnies with no means of contacting them in a country where you did not properly speak the language.
"huh." you bit your lip. this was far from practical.
someone would surely find you soon.
back inside the mall, jeongyeon wasn't aware of anything. yet. she'd watched you trying to find the perfect gift and finally saw the opportunity to go one story down and get you the thing you'd been gushing about while passing the shop window. just minutes ago, you had asked your manager if you could go back to that store next, but there simply wasn't enough time.
ten minutes later, and delighted that she had succeeded in buying your gift, jeongyeon walked back into the store she'd left you.
"y/n-yah, come here." she was already beaming from ear to ear, slight mischief in her eyes, trying to keep her surprise from you for a little longer. even though her expression betrayed her.
"y/n?" she walked through the store, but didn't find you.
"let's go."
jeongyeon turned at her manager's voice, who appeared from the coffee shop across, balancing three drinks in a paper tray.
"i just checked with the others. they called to ask if we were on our way. we're late."
"um, yeah, one second-" jeongyeon checked the store again. the little lounge corner in case you'd gotten tired of waiting. the line at the checkout. the forgotten corner with frog plushies. then everything all over again. but you just weren't there.
the joyous smile disappeared from her face when she returned.
"manager-nim..."
your manager's face filled with dread and panic when jeongyeon explained.
"call her!" she ushered, but jeongyeon's stomach dropped.
she paled, "but her phone is in my bag."
silence.
"oh, no."
five minutes later, the entire store staff was aware until one clerk admitted to seeing you leave. then, the restrooms were checked. and the store jeongyeon had just returned from, in case you'd gone back to buy the thing yourself. then, the food court. before they ultimately hurried to the rendezvous point, shopping bags in hand as they rushed to the entrance.
and while the mall was huge, there was no mistaking: you weren't to be seen sitting at the revolving doors either.
"it's okay, she might be outside... maybe found a quiet place there. or she found the car." jeongyeon tried to reassure herself and her manager, who was looking paler each minute that passed, feeling and being responsible for a missing idol.
but when they got to the rental, and you weren't there, the ultimate dread kicked in.
it was time to admit it: she'd lost you.
jeongyeon: long shot, but has anyone seen or heard from y/n?
nayeon: ????
nayeon: she's with you, stoopid
momo: isn't she with you?
dahyun: why? where are you guys?
chaeyoung: no, what's up?
sana: hurry uuuuup, we're waiting and i'm huuuuuuuungry
jeongyeon: i think i lost her
nayeon: ◦◦◦
chaeyoung: ◦◦◦
mina: ◦◦◦
dahyun: ◦◦◦
sana: ◦◦◦
momo: ◦◦◦
tzuyu: ◦◦◦
jihyo: ◦◦◦
momo: are you trolling us?
nayeon: YOU WHAT?
jihyo: if this is a joke, i'm going to slap you into the next year. it's not funny.
sana: OH!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN???
dahyun: you LOST our MAKNAE??? 😧
chaeyoung: wait, like... actually?
tzuyu: how does that even happen?
jeongyeon: i'm not trolling, i wouldn't joke about that
nayeon: shit!!!
sana: are you still at the mall? should we come to you?
momo: yeah, we can help look!
mina: where did you last see her?
jeongyeon: i feel so bad
jeongyeon: she's alone and i have her phone
jeongyeon: so she has no means to contact us
jeongyeon: i was gone for just a little while so she probably thought we left without her, that's the worst part
jeongyeon: i don't know what to do
jihyo: unnie, breathe.
jihyo: don't panic. we're gonna find her
jeongyeon: I AM WELL PAST PANICKING
momo: what if someone recognised her and something happened
nayeon: HELLO ???? WHY WOUL DYOU SA Y THAATT>?
sana: noooo don't say stuff like that ):
mina: let's not jump to such conclusions
chaeyoung: that's not helping 😭
momo: i'm just saying, she could've had to hide
jeongyeon: SHUT UP
jihyo: i'm on the phone with staff.
jihyo: i'll keep you updated.
tzuyu: us too, please?
chaeyoung: yeah ):
meanwhile, you had spotted a frozen yoghurt shop across the street of the mall. was it smart to wander off instead of staying in one place? no. but you were craving some refreshments. and, seeing as there was no line, you would be in and out within seconds. and then you'd go back to the rendezvous and wait there. but at least you'd have something to snack on to pass the time while you did.
back inside the mall, jeongyeon looked like she might cry. but she knew that if she did, your manager would start crying right along with her. no, she needed to keep morale high. you couldn't be far away, you were probably still within the mall. you were just... distracted, she told herself. yep. you'd wandered off into another store when you couldn't find them and were just blissfully unaware of the stress you were causing them right now. that must be it. sooner rather than later, they'd see you walk up to them with an innocent smile on your face and a new shopping bag hanging off your arm.
jihyo called again, like she'd done every five minutes.
"any news?"
"no."
"nothing?"
jeongyeon sighed, "nothing."
jihyo cursed loudly on the other side of the line, her irritation clear, though it stemmed from worry above all else, "how could she just vanish like that when you were both with her?!"
she realised her mistake when jeongyeon remained silent.
"i'm sorry. i didn't mean it like that. more staff is on their way, so you won't be alone much longer."
your manager was already coordinating with mall security to show them the last photo of you to see what you were wearing. it might've felt excessive to anyone else to call in the help of mall security when an adult had gone missing for less than an hour. you weren't a five year old. no. but you were an idol. there was always a possibility that someone had realised who you were and- jeongyeon stopped her string of thoughts.
while initially trying to wave them off, security realised the severity of the matter once more staff arrived and it was communicated that you were a celebrity. there were crazy people everywhere.
when the head of mall security shared your description to his team over the radio, it finally felt too real. at last, jeongyeon started crying silent tears.
a stone's throw away, you were happily pointing out the toppings you wanted added to your bowl of frozen yoghurt.
the employee smiled, "anything else?"
"no, thank you! have a nice day!" you spoke the practiced sentence, and felt happy when your words hit their mark.
you carried your little cup of frozen delight outside, looked both ways to cross the street, and walked onto the car park again. the yoghurt melted on your tongue and you were pleased with the toppings you'd chosen. happily diving into your sweet treat, you were completely unaware that everyone was upside down trying to find you, worried out of their minds.
you walked towards the entrance, nearly halfway with your frozen yoghurt when a mall security guard stopped you.
"excuse me-"
you looked up. the man smiled disarmingly, but you still halted, alarmed. were you not allowed to take this food inside?
"-are you y/n?"
oh god, someone recognised you. and you weren't with staff or security to help you out. you pulled your hood lower, eyes focused on your frozen yoghurt.
"no, sorry."
it felt rude to just pass him, so you bowed and tried to swerve around him to go inside when he spoke again,
"i think you are." he insisted and blocked your path, causing you to panic for the first time after everything. if that wasn't worse enough, he pulled out his phone and showed you a photo. your photo. the one your unnies had taken not even two hours ago.
immediately, you looked up.
he saw your face of confusion and slight panic and instantly held up his hands to explain himself. he spoke slowly, "a lot of people are looking for you."
you understood what he meant.
oh. well, in that case... that made a lot of sense.
realising jeongyeon and manager-nim had called in the help of the mall's security embarassed you to no end. it was clear proof that you'd definitely missed something. they obviously hadn't left without you. you knew they wouldn't... but you hated how you had doubted it for a split second. and now, you had made them go to such extremes because you had been too distracted.
jeongyeon had been ushered to one of the backrooms, where she had sat quietly ever since. she was on edge. stressed out of her mind. her leg bounced and she was still silently crying. she was listening to the phonecall your manager was having. the entire team was readying themselves to start proper protocol. sana, momo and nayeon were being driven back to the hotel. chaeyoung had already returned and the others weren't even allowed to leave their hotel room. jeongyeon couldn't believe what was happening.
"if something happened, i'm never going to forgive myself." she wiped at her eyes.
the manager ended the call and cleared her throat, "okay...update. protocol calls for the rest of you to all be safe in one place. so they're picking you up soon. you have to stay in your hotel room until we can start ruling out worst case scenarios."
the sound of it... worst case scenarios... sent bile up her throat.
she stood up, resolutely, "oh- but i'm not leaving."
a knock made them both turn around. then the door creaked open.
and in you walked, behind a security guard, holding your half melted cup of frozen yoghurt and your plethora of bags. you frowned when you saw the shock and relief on their faces. as though you'd gone to war and had just gotten back.
"sorry..." you grimaced.
"y/n-yah!!" jeongyeon practically tackled you into a hug, "where did you go?! you disappeared!!"
"no- you disappeared."
jeongyeon stalled.
"i got my gift but then i couldn't find you or manager-nim. i thought you might have left."
"WITHOUT YOU?!" jeongyeon's eyes were wide and her voice rose in incredulous concern.
"you weren't in the store, or at the rendezvous. and i couldn't find the car." you felt small and looked at the cup in your hand, "so i got frozen yoghurt and then walked back to the mall. i got oreo toppings for you, but the rest melted already."
"you had time for oreos while i was freaking out!?"
"i'm sorry. i didn't mean to worry you." you looked genuinely apologetic, and something about you made her think of the wide-eyed young girl who had accidentally smacked her in the face during your first dance practice with her. you had been the youngest there, observant and keeping to yourself in a room full of older girls with years of training under their belt. but what you had failed to see was that you'd been put in their group because you were just as good already.
and just like that time many years ago, jeongyeon huffed out a broken chuckle. then started laughing.
she pulled you against her again, squeezing all the air out of you.
"i'm so sorry for making you think we left. even if it was for only a split second, i'm so sorry."
"it's okay." your face was completely squished against hers, but you sighed at the comfort of her embrace nonetheless. " i knew you hadn't, so i wanted to make the best of the situation."
"so you got dessert?" she joked and eyed the cup in your hands. she was in complete disbelief that you still seemed way too relaxed about the whole thing while she still had tears rolling down her cheeks. but the image of you wandering around, lost, dessert in hand and hoping that you wouldn't be waiting for them until it got dark made her laugh.
"you just cost me ten years of my life."
later that afternoon, you finally reunited with the members at the hotel. you had barely walked in before sana came barreling into you.
then the others all came to check up on you, giving head pats and relieved hugs.
"you scared the everlasting crap out of us!"
"i'm sorry."
"don't do that again!"
"i won't."
"at least we know she can take care of herself when it happens again."
that definitely got a stern look from jeongyeon, as if to say 'never again'.
after a while, you gave them their gifts. and while they were unpacking, jihyo started-
"so... next time-?" a smile crept onto her face while she waited for you to finish the sentence.
"i keep my phone on me."
"and?" nayeon asked, playing into the bit.
"and film it for a twice log episode! it would've gotten insane views!" momo joked, which earned a few snickers and eyerolls.
"next time, i stay where i am." you answered nayeon.
"no! next time i'm superglueing you to me," jeongyeon sat up a little, her mind made up. though you were safely with her now, and nothing bad had happened, her heart was still thumping in her ears.
"yah! you left me!"
"but you left-left! out the building! cheerio, goodbye! and you got a frozen yoghurt!" jeongyeon lifted her hands, playful and incredulous as she poked you.
"so no next times! please!" jeongyeon pointed at jihyo and nayeon.
sheepishly and abashed, you pulled out the coupon you'd been given earlier, "well, but if there is a next time... i'll get a free topping."
silence. then- a cacophony of nine different laughs together bounced through the room. it sent warmth to your heart. you grinned, knowing you had made them laugh like that.
nothing bad might have happened today, and for that you were grateful, but you knew that if it had, they would've been there for you.
a/n: hiii. i hope you liked reading this 🥺 i had it in my head for a few weeks so i'm really happy i finally got it written down. it was hard to make the idea work while also keeping it believable, because lbr... so i'm sorry if it sometimes felt unrealistic. tho the most unrealistic part was probably chaeyoung answering the groupchat lol. wishing you all a wonderful day!

𑣲⋆ WARNINGS: huge d!ck momo, g!p, overstimulation, public (bathroom) sex, mirror sex, tummy bulge, creampie, squirting.
𑣲⋆ while men were ogling you and scheming to get in your pants, women were already there. one of them being your soft-spoken and reserved classmate, momo.
Perhaps being the center of attention may have given you a slightly big head.
Men’s heads turn every time you pass by. You entertain their ogling with a little wink and smirk when you hear them chatter about your beauty and being able to get your attention for even half a second. Word goes around quickly; no secret is safe. Some of your classmates don’t even try to hide their scheme of getting into your pants but as flattered as you are by their attention, you know better than to let any man get a hold of you.
The only secret that is well-secured behind iron-clad walls is that you’re not letting any of your male peers hit it.
You’re letting your female peers have their way with you, with the latest stunner being Momo Hirai.
Her presence was silent. You didn’t sense her stalking behind you to the women’s restroom until the door clicked shut.
You’ve never spoken with her before, but you knew you shared half your classes with her. While you were socializing in big groups, Momo kept to herself in the back corner of the room. When it came to oral presentations, Momo was soft-spoken and you could hardly hear her if you were sitting in the middle of the room. Her reserved demeanor and big doe eyes held a glint of innocence but as you stood in the empty restroom with her cornering you, you were perplexed that it was all an act.
Momo is insatiable. You were worried that people would disturb you or that your teachers would try to find you because she was repeatedly destroying you. God knows how much time has passed since she trapped you in here but she can’t get enough of you. The counter and the sinks glisten with your cum, the onslaught of orgasms completely soiling your lace panties and streaming down your legs. Your knees buckle with every step and your eyeliner streams down your teary cheeks.
Despite that, she doesn’t give you a second to breathe as she forces you up against the full-length mirror on the wall. Your blouse is partially unbuttoned to free your tits. The coldness of the glass against your skin sends a chill down your spine. She has fucked all the thoughts out of your brain so you’re not entirely sure what she’s doing behind your back. All you know is that you look and feel ruined.
Just exactly how you want it.
Your skirt is bunched up in her fist, the exposure sending even more chills up your skin. She yanks your soiled panties aside and your mouth draws open as her cock sinks inside you once more. You couldn’t comprehend your body being able to accommodate her as having half of her in you can be felt against your tummy. The pain of being stretched so open felt equally delicious that once she’s balls deep inside you, you press your palm against your lower tummy to feel her.
She hisses. “Fuck… you feel that, princess?”
You whimper as the slightest movement of her hips makes you feel even fuller.
“No man deserves this.”
Damn right.
“Just one more…”
She slowly draws out her fat cock before shoving it back in, forcing a gasp out of your swollen lips. “Just one more for me, princess, and I’ll leave you alone.”
“N-No!,” you object with a shake of your head. “Please never leave me alone. I will always have room for you.”
You meet her gaze in the mirror, and the prettiest smile can’t hide the dark glint in her eyes. She gathers your hands behind your back. All you can do is watch and admire her bulky biceps through the mirror as she hooks an arm through yours, pinning them against her chest and using her weight to trap you against the mirror.
You spiral once more as she fucks you with equal fervor. Every thrust forces your cheek and tits up and up the cold glass surface. You are almost certain that she can put you through the mirror with how hard she was hammering you, but you don’t care. You don’t care that your slick continues to drip down your legs and make a mess of you. You don’t care that your tears have ruined your makeup and made you look far from presentable. You’re throbbing. Your abused cunt squeezes and suctions your classmate’s massive cock in like you were made for her.
She’s taken you to heaven for the nth time yet you still want more.
Your eyes roll back as you feel her teeth sink down on your shoulder. Her grunts are muffled by sensitive, sweaty skin and her profanity and tight grip on your arms indicate one thing.
“Fuck,” she snarls, her pace making your head spin. “I’m gonna fill you up. I’m gonna fill up that pretty pussy one more time and you’re gonna take it all in.”
“But-”
Momo’s throbbing cock hits the depths of you, your moans mingling with hers through the empty restroom as white hot seed fills your cunt. She has so much to give that you no longer have room for it, much of her load immediately spilling out with her semi-hard cock and puddling between your feet. Just when you thought it was over, a hand slides around your waist and slips between your thighs where your engorged clit falls victim to the harsh strokes of your classmate’s fingers. Your eyes roll back, your knees buckle, and you gasp as you spatter all over the mirror.
Juices soak Momo’s hand. Your skirt and panties are ruined even more and your reflection is soiled by your squirting, the mirror now bearing the evidence of an escapade that your male peers can only dream of.
Your weight sinks back on her but she holds you up with no issue. You tremble in her arms, completely ravaged by a classmate you’ve never spoken to. You expected her to abandon you in your ruin the way most of the other girls have, but she risks being late to class to stay with you until you recover.
