I saw the gold palette and i had to. There was a really tight spot between two drawings and i just thought the closed up space would be perfect for a little claustrophobia inducing cage. Fun fact but cc donnie was the first thing i ever drew in magma

I chose one of the first quotes I had ever screenshotted from caged lungs (i screenshotted. So much. From the whole series. Its a habit in general but with @qoldenskies peak writing it was exacerbated. Which is also why i basically took a months long pause in reading cw. I just got really overwhelmed with wanting to screenshot everything) even though there were probably more fitting ones I could've used but idk i didn't really have much time to think it over

Donnie’s mantra of “It’s not enough” felt so damning. Like he was telling himself that, but also that no matter how hard Leo, Mikey, and Raph try to make amends and heal their relationship with Donnie—nothing will ever be enough to make it better 😭.
