I wasn’t actually expecting that custody battle to piss me off as much as it did, but how they tried to make Arizona out to be pissed me off more than anything. Like just because she did push Sophia out from her womb doesn’t make her less Sophia’s mother. And I now understand why my friends sat on opposite side of our dorm room when the episodes first aired.

29: what's something really cute that one of your friends does and is totally endearing?

well, endearing is probably the wrong word, but my friends @starklinqs, @karadnvres, @captainhunters and @superbatlane are all the saltiest bunch I know. and I love that. :P

55: what's the most dramatic thing you've ever done to prove a point?

oh god wow. ummmmm. this one time I had to apologise to an uncle and I ended up yelling “SORRY” at the top of my voice (without being sorry at all oops). but that was a long time ago. I am more mature now. somewhat.

99: list some songs that resonate to your soul whenever you hear them

mirror - kat dahlia (I think of it any time I see earth-1 and earth-2 versions of flarrow characters).

strange birds - birdy (my go to song for any of the birds of prey and the various people I ship them with)

after every rainfall must come a rainbow - outlandish (if I don’t find you here I hope I find you way up there resonates with me a lot with all the loss I’ve seen around me lately)

I was here - beyonce (again a lot of death lately. plus it’s totally a laurel song tbh. I would also love to have that song playing at my funeral lbr.)

5. for how long have you written?

since I was seven or so, when I wrote my own version of the three little pigs, lol.10. how do you do your research?

I mean. it depends. for fics like candlelight I spent an age and a half researching hanukkah traditions because I don’t know anyone irl who is jewish and at the time I didn’t really know anyone jewish online either, so I wasn’t sure who to ask. so instead I went on a fair few websites and tried my best. not sure how it turned out, though, haha, but I did try.

meanwhile for smut fic that is the “if arrow were on hbo instead of the cw” type, like coming home (nsfw canarrow 2x13 fic) and almost my entire there’s us series (dedicated entirely to 3x20 and olicity), I tend to just watch the scene over and over. you know. for scientific research and all that. :P

15. hardest verse to write

when I have to stick to canon despite the terrible writing choices - like the oliver/nyssa marriage, or ollie lying about william to felicity, or ollie being horrible to laurel and never apologising, or laurel leaving nyssa in nanda parbat after everything they went through together. I try papering over them with fixit fics as best as I can but it is haaaard.

20. favourite character to write

laurel lance, of course. though since most of my fic was olicity to start with, it used to be felicity smoak and I do still love writing her.

25. favourite line you’ve ever written

this one from in every universe (nsfw):

30. hardest part of writing

beginnings, because I suck at them. also getting inspiration when I don’t have time to write is literally the worst thing ever because when I do finally have the time (i.e. now) I’m totally blocked. *sigh*

35. single story or multi-part story?

almost all my fics have been one-shots, and the ones that aren’t are two- or three-parters, so I will go with single story.

40. which one of your stories would you most like to see as a movie/series

I would loooooove to see in every universe as a thing just because I think katrina and katie would do really well with playing different versions of their characters and katie did so well as black siren as it is. also I really want to see them kiss for science okay

also if I could have every single fic in my canon fixits series added to arrow I might be able to start watching again tbh (with the solemn undertaking from all arrow writers that they will not repeat those mistakes, of course)

45. share the synopsis of a story you work on that you haven’t published yet

well, I have a westallen fic I really want to write - barry’s been to several other universes/timelines now. so this fic is going to be the three times he holds back a little when telling iris (about earth-2, the earth supergirl is on and when he travelled back in time to get the tacheon thing from eobard thawne) and the one time he tells her everything (i.e. when he tells her about being in the speed force and what he saw). not sure when it’ll be written because as I say - I’m a bit blocked rn. but I hope it will happen. :)
