We rarely see Canada geese here at the centre, but this juvenile came in after it was found with a large wound on its leg. Upon closer inspection, Maru found two additional wounds on the bird’s chest and suspected that it had been attacked by another animal. Luckily, after a good clean, stitch and a little glue, Maru successfully closed the wounds. This lovely bird will, now, stay in one of our enclosures, where it can rest and recover.
