G’raha blinked as her words made his heart flutter. He could not avoid the color and the warmth that filled his cheeks as she spoke to him. He was no star. She flattered him overmuch. Surely he was important, but not quite that important...was he? Quite honestly, he had no inkling of how she felt about him other than their initial friendship during their joint investigations some many years ago. 

He opened his mouth to respond, yet the words would not leave his lips. His ears drooped as his face turned a shade of red akin to his hair. Her words had completely taken him by surprise. He laughed in embarrassment of his own loss of words before finally surmounting the courage to give her a response.

“I am no star...” he said humbly.

“It’s strange how such a simple thing like a night sky can be taken for granted.”

Perhaps this was why G’raha found it so difficult to sleep at night, and why he kept being found on the balcony overlooking Mor Dhona, head tilted back and gaze practically glued to the brilliant canopy above him. He had gone a century under skies of blinding light. A few days-- weeks? Months? with an actual night sky had done little to remove the wonder it still held for him.

Unpopular Opinions

🔥 Y’shtola is WAY overrated. I hate seeing her all over the merchandise and promotions of FFXIV, because I feel that she’s actually really bland in personality. When she burns Magnai in 4.4 was the only time I actually like her, otherwise nah, you can keep her.

🔥 Speaking of Y’shtola, I think the only reason why she’s popular is that fans think she’s hot, but I don’t think she’s that pretty to me. She’s not ugly, but I don’t see why she’s that sexy either. Overall I just think she’s blah.

₤ How many shoes do they have? What kind?

It’s likely unsurprising to learn that the vast majority of Cyril’s shoes are boots. Typically laced, as is his preference, but occasionally with straps & buckles for added security, or to attach add-ons ( such as a knife ).

His boots, whether concealed or shown, are always both steel-toed and steel-soled. In his line of work, ensuring that his feet are protected from something or someone trying to stab his foot to disable or cripple him is crucial. Splinters, shrapnel, nails, glass, or makeshift weaponry are all a threat that his boots are designed to protect him from. Additionally, the soles of his shoes will be textured to provide grip on the slick surfaces he frequents.

The small amount of shoes he owns that are not boots are a collection of ankle-high, formal dress shoes. Though, like his boots, many of these are reinforced, albeit much more subtlety. Almost every pair of shoes he owns are custom, and are repaired by a cobbler when worn through, rather than being replaced.

All of his shoes are oily black leather, and treated meticulously to be both soft and comfortable for long wear, and to be waterproof.

(hit the darn unfollow button by accident, darn hitboxes) Starlight headcanons! While nothing can replace their choice weapons, maybe Kiri looks to getting Hien a Katana forged to be like a decorative piece for the holidays versus physical use? Maybe they pull something like the Gift of the Magi in some way? Also, Kiri helps Hien decorating a tall starlight tree using her strength and height in order to help him get to the highest points? (a lot of weird stuff, answer how you feel!)

Don’t worry! I do that too!! 

That would be really sweet of Kiri! Or maybe she even dives into the ruins of Doma Castle and tries to bring him back something meaningful. Comes back with a ton of fish and random shit she found in hopes that he might recognize it as something that was his. :V  She definitely has to decorate the top of the tree. :/ She is technically taller than him, I just make them the same height for pictures :V. He probably has a very good sense of style when it comes to decorations but Kiri just throws shit on haphazardly. No color scheme, no theme, SHE GOES ALL IN. Also gets tangled in the lights and has to have Hien help her !

The night was still young, in fact, it had just begun, it’s been a week since Akira had request Angelque’s help with dealing with an underground cult that took teens away from their parents all for the sake of gaining money and the occasional harem when it came to the women. Though most of the operation he’s done as Akira were alongside her, acquiring the incriminating evidence he’s done secretly as Joker, acquiring just enough to put him behind bars. His little scam wasn’t front-page news but at least he could rest easy knowing ONE of those terrible people were off the streets. Though it seems like the cult incident wasn’t the last he’s seen of her, they’ve had created a form of friendship and with that friendship Akira wanted to thank her, thus the reason for his knuckles giving her home a gentle knock.
