Pecan Brittle (needs candy thermometer)
3 Cups white sugar
1 Cup Light corn syrup
1/2 Cup water
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Cup pecan pieces
Mix sugar, corn syrup, salt, water, and butter in a pot. Cook until it boils. Pour in pecans, cook to 305 F on candy thermometer, stirring occasionally. Pull off heat and stir in baking soda. Pour out on a greased cookie sheet. Let cool. Break apart.
