If you want to spread joy and sweetness this holiday season, these Christmas cupcakes are a great choice. They look nice and taste great on your Christmas dessert table because they are decorated with colorful sprinkles and crushed candy canes.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 cup milk. 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles. 1/2 cup crushed candy canes. 1 batch of your favorite frosting e.g., vanilla or cream cheese. Christmas-themed cupcake toppers.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 350 F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake tin. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium-sized bowl using a whisk. In a different large bowl, beat the sugar and softened butter together until the mixture is light and fluffy. Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step. Slowly add the dry ingredients, mixing in between adding the milk. Start with the dry ingredients and end with the milk. Don't mix any further than that. Add the red and green sprinkles and broken up candy canes and mix them in. Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with batter. In a hot oven, bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool for a few minutes in the pan, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. After the cupcakes are cool, frost them with your favorite frosting and top them with cupcake toppers that are Christmas-themed. Have fun with your Christmas cupcakes!
