BALITANG REHIYONAL: 'North Korean Central TV' first to feature the erupted volcano of 'Mount Kanlaon' in Negros Oriental?

CANLAON, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- North Korea state-owned broadcaster 'Korean Central Television' (KCTV), show the World News segment on the latest eruption of Mount Kanlaon in the Canlaon town of Negros Oriental, two (2) days following the fatal volcanic incident last week on Monday (December 9th, 2024 -- Canlaon local time). This is the first time that the North Koreans would have focused on a disaster in another country on their propaganda TV station during the newscast at 8pm on December 11th.

As of December, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the one with a national volcanic state bureau kept Mount Kanlaon at Alert Level 3, wherein a dangerous explosive eruption is expected to take place within hours up to days. PHIVOLCS advises everyone, if you're in the north Negros Island Region (NIR) to steer clear of the danger zone -- ranging 7 kilometers from its source crater.

To put this in perspective, Mount Kanlaon is an active volcano in the northeastern part of Negros Oriental. It erupted recently on December 9th, inflicting massive damage and dislocating thousands of residents. 'GMA Regional TV: One Western Visayas' reports that more than 10,000 people have been evacuated from surrounding communities because of the ongoing eruption.

Regarding both parties of the relationship, two of the countries have maintained their diplomatic relations since the turn of this new millennium year of 2000. Not so very strong however, an interesting fact is that the North Koreans does show some interest in things happening around the world to our said home country.

The national government, under its current leadership of Philippine president 'Mr. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr.' (PBBM), is stepping up in order to help the places affected in the NIR. They have announced a package of PHP60M (or U$D1,026,887.33) of financial aid, for those who were displaced by the volcanic eruption. More aid is expected in the days to come.

The eruption of Mount Kanlaon in Negros Oriental has caught the world's eye, even making it onto North Korea's state-run news. Although the ties between North Koreans and the Philippines aren't very close, it seems like the North Korea wants to show that it's aware of global events and can report on them through its commercialized news outlets.

OneNETnews EXCLUSIVE: An Illegal FM Radio Stations in Negros Oriental will soon to be Phased Out for Good from the NTC Region VII

DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) bares allegedly listed to almost 15 local radio stations in Negros Oriental-wide. A local radio News Reporter and a Station Manager of DYMD-FM 93.7mhz's Energy FM: Dumaguete was first reported during a news radio programme called "Energy Balita Numero Uno with Syril Repe", with a little help from our Research Team and a Radyo Patrol #2 reporter (Kimi Sparkle) of OneNETnews.

During a monthly informative virtual meeting of Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP) Dumaguete-NegOr Chapter, the head of National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)-Negros Oriental’s Engr. Felipe "Dong" Gumalo was exclusively invited him a Zoom meeting last Wednesday afternoon by March 17th, 2021. He was received an important paperwork from last week on his regional office first.

As it turns out for this result, there will be 2 of the alleged illegal radio stations are scheduled to be phased out for good, facing an FM broadcast closure under a Cease and Desist (C&D) order. Based from this said virtual meeting, one of the personal concerns in the province raised by the Station Managers themselves on free radio broadcasting by the ownership.

In a media-affiliated exclusive radio interview to DYMD-FM 93.7mhz's Energy FM: Dumaguete as Florence Baesa spoked with Engr. Gumalo told OneNETnews, these less than 15 illegal radio stations are listed. Equivalently, 3 of the regional FM radio stations are closed down by the following areas if you're in Jimalalud, Tanjay and Bayawan; while others are subject to be complied for a Provisional Authority to secure a regional radio franchise in your neck of the woods.

Not only these illegal FM radio stations, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) warns for a "fly-by-night" side-talk format in the province of Negros Oriental that will be regionally runs a campaign for 2022 as a paid blocktime programme. During the election as unfortunate, in censoring possibly the propaganda FM station whether if you're preparing for a local or the regional politican in advance like Lani Ramon for example... it's best to take the FM station down (even the broadcast towers too), which is currently not to be fitted for a KBP member, the radio-sponsored programme or maybe both; as Engr. Low power stations in some areas for the unlicensed FM radio stations below the watts power count are OK, in referencing from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in America, in subject for a permission first to authorize. They'll handle an investigative review within more than a day from your complainant upon determine if one or more FM radio station in your community is illegal for now.

As for the illegal FM radio stations like this in Negros Oriental, this maybe an early final radio broadcast before the handcuffs = permanently dead air to silence like nothing else in jail.
