If you do any kind of sewing, I highly recommend investing in a good pair of shears. Spend the money. Get something better than Fiskars. My mom gave me a pair of Guggenhein 9 inch shears for Christmas, and I was just using them to trim up the seam allowance on a doll outfit for my niece, and let me tell you those shears are magical. Honestly, I can't get over how buttery smooth they are. Most shears will cut. These ones slice.

sometimes i wonder why different online shops using the exact same shipping services can have such wildly different shipping turnover times. like on my birthday i bought myself some figures-- a preorder from tokyo otaku mode, some used figs from goods republic, and a new fig from ninoma. both GR and ninoma gave me japan post tracking numbers for the things i bought once they shipped, and goods republic’s shipping was free while ninoma’s shipping cost about $15. but like. when the package was dispatched from goods republic’s warehouse, it got through customs in record fucking time and only took a week to go from japan to where i live in the US. ninoma’s package, however, has said “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment -> We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece.“ on the package tracking page since fucking december 3rd and still has not left japan. goods republic’s shipping was fucking free of charge and still went through customs and got to my house faster than the package from ninoma. how does this even fucking happen.
