More beautiful Myanmar’s buddhist temples?
New Addition to the Family - Canon EF 17-40mm F/4 USM
Something I forgot all about with the purchase of the Canon R50V - a mint copy of Canon's F4 Trinity lenses from Japan!
The focus is smooth and precise and can only get better when slapped on the new mirrorless camera for 2026.
New Addition to the Family - DJI Mic Mini
The DJI Mic Mini (opted this over Mini 2) is a streamlined wireless microphone system that delivers professional audio in a compact, stylish package. Its unique value lies in combining lightweight design, dual-channel recording, and intelligent noise control at a price that's too good to pass - USD60, here in Singapore.
Let's go!
Another day in Hong Kong, another set of photos!
New Addition to the Family - SmallRig Grip for Canon R50V
As delicate as the camera is, it goes without saying that her default rubber grip will breakdown as soon as you decide to take her out to the real world...which is why this mandatory grip has to be used if I want my camera to remain clean and pristine in a year's time.
A necessary evil for this camera, which kinda says it all to who the camera was intentionally designed for.
The Canon R50V is still being configured to behave more like a camera than a video camera for me.
Hands-on experience reveals that her ergonomics is sub-par to any Nikon cameras I have owned. It's almost a given that you would need some sort of an additional grip to even hold the camera properly, even with the kit lens!
And I don't find it amusing that Canon has decided to now exclude any lens hood in any of her lenses, save those that probably cost a kidney. I will probably hunt for a Canon genuine hood later this week in Hong Kong.
Later.
Second set of flora with the HDR switch activated as PLQ, all while using the Canon RF-S 14-30mm kit to capture.
Do I know which plant species they are? Nope.
Do I bother? Neither.
But the one thing I am very sure of, is that they simply look stunning to me. The added fact that this garden manages to house over 19,000 plant species drawn from Mediterranean, semi‑arid, and subtropical regions worldwide continues to boggle the mind with each visit.
