The land where Los Vaqueros Watershed occupies today has played an important role in connecting the ancient trading route from Brushy Peak to Mount Diablo. Long before this watershed was constructed, ancient Natives had roamed this land for thousands of years. In fact, during the dig of the watershed, human remains dated 7000-year old were uncovered. This halfly submerged giant oak tree was probably left alone and served as a testimony of how the ancient landscape was transformed.https://flic.kr/p/2dx912T
