My opinions on canto 2 by the way. i don't know why canto 2. sorry if this doesn't make sense and i might be reaching ??

I know some people think Canto 2 is a little bad because of the writing, and that it should've focused on Rodya. I actually slightly disagree with that, if that's valid.

The reason why Rodya's backstory felt so empty? Because there wasn't much more to expand on than her killing the taxpayer. That's where the story should've ended.

The only reason it was dragged on for longer is because we got to see more of Sonya and the Yurodiviye. The reason why it focuses more on Sonya is because Rodya isn't a special person. No offense to her, of course. Good character, great personality, just zero backstory to look into. It's quite straightforward. She has a little more backstory just because of Sonya.

You can see the fact that she doesn't think she's special in Timekilling Time. She wants to catch the ripper so she's praised, and feels relevant. She also talks a lot about herself because she wants attention.

You can also come to this conclusion because she repeats the same stories over and over. Because she hasn't experienced much to share.

That's all I really have. TLDR: canto 2 focused on sonya because rodya didnt have more backstory to look into

I love Rodya but she's just barely relevant because of this. Sad day for a Rodya fan

i was pondering canto 2 and rodya

she is barely relevant now that there's no more story to expand on. and something else i noticed is that her IDs are also mostly random people, with some main story mirrors here and there.

but guess what? those main story mirrors still require another id as a support. for an example, princess of la manchaland, which requires the other bloodfiends. ring docent rodya too, she's better with ringsault. i want to say this is their way of saying she needs other people as support to be special but that's just something i noticed
