the hermit (yi sang) represents introspection, solitude, and seeking truth from within oneself.

the magician (faust) represents intellect, willpower, manifesting potential, and seizing opportunity.

the chariot (don quixote) represents victory, focus, and overcoming obstacles through sheer determination.

the empress (ryoshu) represents motherhood and motherly love, nurturing, and creativity.

the hanged man (meursault) represents suspending action, surrender, acceptance, and viewing things from a new perspective. it is followed by death.

temperance (hong lu) represents balance, choosing the middle way, patience, and harmony.

the lovers (heathcliff) represents union, relationships, making choices between opposing and mutually exclusive options, and short-term vs. long-term consequences.

strength (ishmael) represents power from within, confidence through taming raw emotions, and courage in the face of distress.

the devil (rodion) represents addiction (both literal and figurative), oppression, excess, powerlessness, and dependency.

the moon (sinclair) represents uncertainty, anxiety, inner drives, and all that is hidden in the subconscious.

the emperor (outis) represents authority, respect, discipline, paternity, the father archetype, and calculated action.
