It’s Saturday morning here in Abruzzo. Ever since we left Rome for the countryside I’ve felt a bit more at peace than I have in a long time.
During the lockdown every day became a routine, my life became monotonous, filled with no hope for tomorrow, just a constant day dream for the future.
We arrived at M’s parents house in Canzano a couple of days ago and since then I’ve felt “sto in vena” which just means simply inspired.
Sto in vena: to write, to dream, to draw, to paint, to take photos, to just simply be, to dance, to bring my ideas to life, to make potions, to practice magic, to read tarot, to deepen my knowledge of astrology, to cook, to eat fruit directly from the trees in the garden.
Meanwhile, in Rome, I had no desire to do a thing.
What is it about the beauty of nature that just fills me up. It brings me to life.
I’ve decided to dedicate my time here to studying the plants, trees, fruits and herbs that grow in M’s parents garden. Now time for a little story of the magic of the countryside:
I was talking to my tarot and telling them how I want to really soak in all the knowledge I can about herbalism. Which herbs can heal, which fruits and vegetables can improve one’s health.
With my 6th house stellium, I have a strong desire to own an apothecary and cultivate a garden and also cultivate knowledge of all the things I’m passionate about.
So here’s to nature, the country side, slow living and a life meant to be lived.
