oh this question is always hard. uh, here's this one from this constant give and take:
With the blood cleaned away, he prepares to stitch the wound. Andy swears when the needle goes in, and all he can do is apologise again.
“How old’s your medical degree?” Andy asks through clenched teeth.
“A few decades.” Not old, in the long run, but enough time for them to invent new procedures and cures that never fail to surprise him. He still remembers when bloodletting was a common practice.
“You should go back.” When he looks up at her, she grins, even if it’s pained, and he can’t help but smile back. Yes, he will need to go back, if only because she is mortal now and he wants to know the best way to treat her should something like this happen again.
i don't know why i like this one in particular i just like this fic a lot in general
h: how would you describe your style?
i think i tend to focus on the pov character's internal monologue a lot? i also use brackets and dashes a lot. you know. because they're fun. i don't know if this is a style thing but it's a thing i do

oooooh this is fun!!! i have so many favourites so this was extremely hard but! here are a few
siggy (@non-un-topo on here, bluetigerlilies on ao3) is SO good at atmosphere and mystery and making me experience emotions. if you haven't read dying of the light go do that it's incredible. other favourites are dahlia which i think about a lot and lionheart
one of my favourite fics ever in this fandom is love, harder than it used to be by lyde (@nicolodigenovas on here, lydenicoKITE on ao3) which is just. yeah. you may have seen me rec this one before BUT i love it with my whole entire heart. ace nicky rights.
another one of my all time favourites is between the lines by hegel (@nickydestati on here, hevheia on ao3) which has such an incredible concept and is just. so good. also the music of your soul calling mine and the duolingo prompts series!!!
