Transformation Thursday | Being Transformed 101

As we continue our Transformation Thursday I wanted to BREAK DOWN what a Transformation is and why it is important in your journey called life. "that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth." - Ephesians 4:22-24 God has stated that there is an "Old Man" and a "New Man" which signifies transformation of who you used to be and who he's creating you to become.
A very well-known, powerful son of God from Dallas, Texas named Dr. Renny McClean said it well at CAP 2014 last weekend:
Transformation is AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD!
What do we mean by encounter? It is a supernatural experience that you cannot explain. It is having a one-on-one session with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit! God allows us to enter into His presence and that is when He transforms our lives, hearts, mindsets and much more! "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." -Ezekiel 36:26 Reading the Word of God gives you confirmation of what God speaks and has for you. He clearly says he'll remove old and place new. So why are you hesitating to receive your newness?
OF COURSE, BT101's FOUNDATION: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2
And a personal favorite about change: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come." -2 Corinthians 5:17 I personally LOVE this declaration of a "New Creature".
With all this being stated and presenting you with these scriptures, what does TRANSFORMATION mean to you? Have you had a moment where you KNEW you changed and the old things you used to do passed away? This is what Transformation Thursday is ALL about! Do you have a transformation that you want to reveal to others? God is waiting to give you a NEW heart and put away the OLD things.
