Beginnings (A Mystrade Fic) - For capitainetipthecabbie

Greg swore. Sherlock had come to the crime scene in pre-heart, driving half his Alphas mad. John had been called and the man dragged off home. The case was simple though and Greg was fuming as he called the elder Holmes.

"Do you have any idea what your idiot brother has done!?"

Mycroft's voice was smooth as he answered, "Given the date, I'm going to assume he appeared at a crime scene in less than a presentable state."

"Now see here, Mycroft he can't just be- wait, you keep up with his heats?" Greg spluttered.

"Of course I do. There was a time I had to have him protected, remember?"

Greg huffed. "Damn it, you and John need to get a grip on that man." His voice grew louder in his car the closer he got to his flat, shouting Mycroft down about it all.

Mycroft let the words flow out until he'd had enough and in that deep, commanding Alpha tone merely said, "Gregory."

The DI nearly swerved off the road. He made a strangled sound into the bluetooth device he was wearing.

Mycroft's voice was gentle, though still had the undercurrent of Alpha command to it. "My office, a half hour."

The phone went silent, the call ended... Greg swore loudly.

Mycroft knew he was an Omega.

Yeah, but as usual when it comes to free healthcare, I have heard that NHS is pretty shitty. Also, the NHS is funded through the British gov't, but that funding comes through taxpayer money so really you're still kind of paying for it.

Yes, gay marriage is legal in Britain however in many states in the US legalized gay marriage as well, such as my own. The only reason its not completely nationwide yet is because America gives a lot of license to states to make their own laws. Unfortunately it's not a federal issue, but a state one. Even still though, Britain still has instances of trans discrimination and discrimination and general and although I applaud them for taking steps to end that discrimination it still happens.

And like I'm not saying any of this to say like "haha im right your wrong" cause that's not it at all. I'm just saying it to say like England/Britain's not perfect and wherever you go their are massive issues so...
