Hey guys! This is my dance team’s performance from BU Fusion’s Elements XVII competition this past weekend in Boston! We are so incredibly proud of this set and humbled to take home first place, so here is the piece if you want to watch! I hope you enjoy!

Capital Funk Hip Hop Showcase 2013
Capital Funk is hosting its 6th Annual Hip Hop Showcase "Funk Academy" this Saturday April 27th, at 7pm in Lisner Auditorium at GWU in Washington DC.
This show has something for everyone -- dance performances by Capital Funk; Funkanometry NY Dance Company; Culture Shock DC; Major Definition; KickRocks Crew; HeartBreak Crew; and DyNaMiC as well as spoken word by Drew Law and Elizabeth Acevedo, beatboxing by Chip Han, singing by Ryan Thornton, and rapping by Nana Adu-Krow.
Tickets are $10 for Students w/ID and Alumni w/ID, which are only available at Lisner Box Office (open Tuesday through Friday from 12PM to 6PM). They accept Visa, Mastercard, Cash, and GWorld
$15 for Adults. You can purchase them at Lisner Box Office or online at www.lisner.org. Please note that online purchases have a $4 convenience fee per ticket. Online orders accept Visa and Mastercard. On the day of the show (Saturday, April 27th) tickets are $20.
Before the big show, Capital Funk is hosting a Vendor Fair in Kogan Plaza at GWU. These local businesses will be selling clothing, accessories and other goods. We will also be selling a limited quantity of tickets before the prices jump to $20 the door.
If you needed another reason to come to the show, your ticket will get you into the Afterparty for FREE and you can come hang with the performers from our showcase! We will be celebrating after the show at Studio Braat at 1711 Florida Ave NW DC. Party starts 11pm, 18+ to get in, dress code is casual, and of course, lots of dancing. If you didn't buy a Showcase ticket, it is $10 at the door.
