The opening title sequence Supernatural was missing all that time... I'm sure Jensen and Jared could have learned the choreography... eventually.

Me and my roomie.
Goodbye (for now), DNA.
by Lizzy Bilasano
Tonight, Dance New Amsterdam officially closed the doors of 280 Broadway for good.
I walked into DNA tonight like I usually do: blasting music through my headphones, skipping up the stairs, and turning the corner to sit on the floor of the gallery space.
I usually sit in the gallery space to look at the pieces of art on show, but tonight I instead sat and admired the emptiness of the white walls... The light against the bare red brick... The smell of the worn wooden floors.
I've always thought DNA was beautiful, but I never took the time to pause and appreciate the little eccentricities that made it different from other studios in New York City. It's a shame to be losing such a great space that breeds so many different forms of art & creativity. Every quirky thing about DNA - from the ever-present smell of wood & feet in the air to the condensation from the skylight in studio 1 leaking onto our heads - made it feel like home.
Funkanometry New York started at DNA. We hosted everything from our auditions, to rehearsals, to public company classes there. We became a family there.
Thanks for the memories, DNA...
And thanks for being our home away from home.
