cho's note: the kinich one did rlly good, so now lets try it with our big boi hehe. happy reads everyone! lmk if u guys want an nsfw ver. of either/both characters ;3
this man is the definition of YEARNING.
he wasnt comfortable with the label of him being your boyfriend. with all his eternal affection and love for you? to just be a mere boyfriend? absolutely not. he just HAD to be your husband. proposed the moment he realized he loved you.
definitely proposed with a big stone :p
wears his ring 24/7 and kisses it whenever your not around and he misses you dearly.
he abuses the power of his mask and never misses the chance to stare and just admire your beauty. underneath his mask his eyes are full of love and admiration for you.
discreetly clingy. if your going out somewhere he wants to go with you 'to keep you safe' or he 'needed to pass by that area later anyway'.
hates taking off his helmet, but never stops you from sliding it off of his head to shower him with praise.
his nicknames for you are my love, dear, darling, prince/princess
his love language for you is physical touch, and words of affirmation
his favorite spots to kiss you on is your forehead, lips, the palm of your hands and your knuckles.
engraved your initials into his sword, and because of that he makes sure he takes good care of it always.
his kisses are always slow and intimate.
he is a quick-kisses or pecks HATER. he has to kiss you for atleast 10 seconds. he doesn't care if hes late, if theres someone right infront of you— he kisses you like its the last time, everytime.
more of a listener than a speaker
he likes to go on dates or do activities with you where you both have to talk to eachother a lot. like fine dining dates, late night walks or driving!
very touchy in private. he likes to snake his arm around your waist, pull your hair to the side and kiss the back of your neck.. hes just addicted to praising and carressing your body.
ever since he married you, he absolutely despises overtime. he gets bossier and meaner to his subordinates when he realizes he might have to stay a little later to supervise them. sometimes he even leaves his job or his expeditions early just to get home to you.
frequently brings you gifts. a bouquet of rare flowers, a jewelry set with special ore customized just for you, lavish wine.. you name it.
never wants to argue with you. the second you tell him he's wrong, he just immediately agrees with you, spewing "yes ma'am." "your absolutely right. i didn't think of it properly.. apologies my love."
ever since he married you, he likes to subtly flex he has you as his wife.
"Sorry, i must end this conversation early. My wife is waiting on my presence." and you can just HEAR how cocky he is to say that.
writes you longgggg letters when he has to get away from business for awhile.
regarding his letters, he made you scribble/draw a design which he got custom made to become his wax seal for said letters :) a very keen man
got you a coat matching his own!
when your crying, he likes to hug you in silence, just letting you soak him in your tears. when you've calmed down, he tells you hes there to listen if you want to talk about your feelings, and theres no problem of yours hes not willing to help you solve. in his mind, your pain is his own, and he'll always be there to support you through any troubles.
very possessive. he wants people to know your his, and hes yours.
princess treatment on TOP. carries you easily when your tired of walking, idly massages your hands or feet when your both lounging together, regularly brings you flowers
during misunderstandings, he likes to take a minute of silence to compose himself and his thoughts to make sure he doesnt say anything he doesnt mean
likes to properly sit down with you to talk out problems between the both of you, and keeps an open mind. he doesnt rush you or cut you off when your talking about your feelings, and lets you know hes present and he cares about how you feel
takes extra time and effort after an argument to remind you he loves you.
overall, capitano is a very romantic lover despite his cold resolve, and honors your wishes with his life.
The Captain for already a long time was an isolated person. Events that took place in Khaenri'ah scarred him deeply for a lifetime. His head was always combusting with past memories or souls that he had to carry. He thought that it would always be like this until you appeared in his dim existence.
You, goddamn you, were brought by Columbina to the Tsaritsa's Palace. The Dove woman explained that you served as her apprentice, sharing a similar lineage and in correlation, carrying familiar characteristics. Small crown-like wings adorning your head like a halo. Coming in pairs, there was also a much bigger set right on your back.
There was also another trait of yours. The one that caught his attention the most and led him down this spiral. Capitano wasn't crude, he already appreciated your teacher's singing, listening to her little concerts or humming from time to time. Even at Signora's funeral, it somehow let everyone take their edge off.
Though, no matter how exquisite, her songs could never heal whatever stirred inside of him. His body managed to change rapidly. All because of the weight of lives he had to carry with himself. His head is a constant mess, never allowed to rest. Or so he thought.
He remembers it like it had happened yesterday. One day he was traversing through corridors of the castle as usual. In his hands there were a few scrolls with orders for the generals, which he was supposed to review, accept and hand over. Everything would have gone on like any other day until he noticed that Columbina's hall had a door creaked open. Immediately stopping in his tracks, papers nearly falling out of his hands as he listened in.
Your voice, literally, angelic-like. The more he listened, the harder it was to pull away. His constantly tensed-up shoulders slowly relaxing. Cries invading his mind turned to soft hums and gentle vibrations.
Capitano couldn't help but take a peek. As if already conspired in his mind, he found you sitting on a divan, chirping your alluring tones. You were having lessons with your mentor. Training your voice to accent and go along with hers.
The only reason he turned away that time was because at some point Damselette, without alarming you, took notice of his presence. Causing him to shoo away like a teenager caught in a compromising action.
After that, this man was never the same again. He started noticing small details about your presence. How you were still stressed out with working for Fatui, at some point it caused you to leave around more feathers than usual. Which he might or might not have pocketed.
That also brought him some worry, though. He started leaving by his soldiers some oils or similar gifts to you. Hoping it would make you feel more welcome and fix the condition of your charming quills. Also, you were already a balm for his soul, you deserved exactly the same.
Another thing that had changed is he took notice of your schedule and Columbina's. Especially times when she wasn't attached to you by the hip.
As he had hoped for, even in your free time you had the tendency to sing your heart out. Once he even caught it when a bunch of Seelies gathered around you to just listen to your tune. You looked like a princess then, oh how he wished he was one of those glowing creatures.
All your training had to come to an end at some point, the Moon Maiden needed to go back to her place of rule. She didn't want you to be at risk by following her, which was a blessing to the man.
Captain, obviously, quickly volunteered to take care of you and so he did. Now just him and his little sparrow. Right by his side, where they won't share their talent with others, won't hurt their feathers or won't leave him..
✧ He drags you back indignantly, armor-clad fingers digging fervently into your forearm. He longs to sink his metal hands into your silky hair, to weave and pull and make you feel a fraction of his pain.
✧ He's slow to notice your sniffling and paling face. Too busy swallowing down his rage, snuffing out fires in favor of earning your love once more. It's only when you faint, falling tenderly into his arms like the first snowflake of winter. That he notices your condition. The deadly shade of rose blushing your swollen cheeks, the sheen of sweat glistening along your sweet face. He pulls you to his chest cradling your body all so gently fearing the worst. Pricking his tongue with patronymic orison to the Tsaritsa.
✧ He's quick to rush you to his chambers, laying you tentatively upon his velvety bed and tracing his icy gauntlet upon your temples in hopes of decelerating the pyrexia. The syllables of each word cut his throat as he barks out orders to the maids. Call upon Dottore, call upon aide...
✧ He blames himself, letting the guilt gnaw at his heart as he stares outside at the blizzard. He should have been more careful, should have kept you closer. His mission had ended early and upon his return he'd found you running through the snow. His castle a distant silhouette upon the dark horizon. He'd been so angry in the moment. So heartbroken that you would do such a treacherous thing in his absence that he'd pointed his sword at your neck and forced you to mount onto his horse. Looking back he should have noticed the dazed look in your eyes, noticed the way your body slumped against his during the ride home.
✧ Capitano loves you, utterly, wholly. But his heart shatters every time you do not reincorporate his desperate feelings.
✧ Why must love sting, greater than any cut from any weapon?
✧ When Dottore arrives and tends to you. Capitano stands in the background like a shroud. Eyes never once leave your fragile frame. He longs to reach out and touch you. To lay beside you and have you rest your weary head upon his chest. He wants you to hear his heartbeat, have it haunt your dreams in hopes you'll follow the rhyme back to him.
✧ Dottore instructs Capitano to feed you plenty of liquids and soups upon your awakening. You keep ice clothes at hand and make sure you don't strain yourself. Once the doctor leaves Capitano removes his helmet, slowly crawling next to you. Peppering your face with tender kisses.
✧ "Forgive me, my love"
✧ You revive during the ungodly hours, eyes parting to see the moon rays adorning your capturer's scared face. Perhaps it's the delirium. But you have to admit that he looks so gorgeous with this particular shade of desperation painted across his face. Your lips gently brush his lips as you cuddle closer to the man who stole your life away.
...so, this one was made for funsies. There will be probably some stickers made out of it also. How this idea even appeared in my head? With my friends, I call Capitano "Kapeć" or "Kapcio" – it's a pet name for him, that could be translated as "flip-flop". This way Flip-floptano was born.

a/n: tbh idk where this came from (i do. it is my capitano brain worm and royal AU brain worm’s combined efforts to make my life misrable). i really enjoyed writing some suggestive stuff, but it’s been a long while so i apologize if it’s rusty and stuff. i hope you enjoy it, regardless :)
capitano is more than capable of defending himself, but he still insists on keeping you as his personal bodyguard
it’s not at all because of his blatant favoritism for a soldier who had steadily risen throughout the ranks over the course of their career in the name of his protection. no, not at all
and it’s certainly not because the rooms of the castle feel less cold and lonely with you by his side
or how by entrusting you to be by his side for his every waking moment, capitano ensures that you’re safe. no, not at all
and in the eyes of the public, capitano and his bodyguard barely speak a word to each other. the relationship between the two is strictly professional, nothing more and nothing less
but behind closed doors? an entirely different story
he murmurs sweet nothings into your ears as he embraces you, his chest rumbling from deep within as he chuckles at your whines and gentle protests
capitano is a gentle and sweet lover, who admires you more with each passing day and would do anything for you
and those moments behind closed doors or scheduled hallways are always special to you both, memories that you’ll always treasure
until one of capitano’s servants walks in on you and him in a... compromising position
You held Capitano’s strong, capable gloved hands in yours, caressing his muscular knuckles gently. You peered up into the helm of darkness that hid his eyes from your view. But deep within your heart, you knew they shared the same sparkle of desire as yours. So, you smiled up at him and slowly fell back onto the bed that was behind you two, bringing him with you.
His bed bounced as you two found settled into the mattress, but it continued to jiggle as Capitano discarded his helmet and began to remove some of his clothing. You followed suit, tossing aside some layers as you pushed your lips up to meet his. He grinned into the kiss, taking it as a queue to hurry and disrobe himself fully.
But just as he took off his tight shirt, there was a swift knock at his door. You both froze, inches apart from each other, half naked, and staring at the two grand doors to Capitano’s chambers. Your heart beat continued to beat faster, but more so from fear than from the excitement before. Capitano and you waited for a beat, nearly forgetting to breathe. Then another moment passed, and then another. You both exhaled, thankful that whomever was at the door had left.
Or that’s what you thought before the doors were pushed open, and the head of a measly servant poked into the chambers. They stared down at their clipboard, pushing up their speckles as they did so, scanning the list of items they had before them.
“My lord, pardon the intrusion but I was just—” they looked up and gasped. “Dear heavens! M-my lord, p-please forgive me for—”
“Get out,” Capitano snarled, blocking his body to protect yours from the servant’s sight.
“Yes, right away, lord Capitano!”
And with that, they scurried out of the room, shutting the doors behind them just as quickly. You both heard the servant’s heavy breaths from outside the door, and then their footsteps as they made their way down the hallway.
Capitano glared at the door for another moment before turning to you, his gaze instantly softening. “Are you alright?”
You blinked, your throat tight and your skin feeling like it was set ablaze. Nothing about what just happened was alright. You and Capitano were in the middle of an intimate moment, one between the Lord of the castle and his lover, his bodyguard. You were mortified and anxious beyond means about what was next.
“No,” you told him. “N-no, I’m not alright.”
Capitano bent down and pressed a kiss to your temple. He then wrapped his big, strong arms around you to cradle you against his chest. One of his hands, now ungloved, made its way up and down your back, very slowly.
“It’s going to be alright,” he promised. “I’ll talk with them, alright? No one will find out about this, and we can—”
“B-but… but I don’t want to hide us anymore.”
Capitano paused and looked at you, his brows raised dramatically. “Really?”
You nodded. “It’s painful, love, to see you being flirted with every day in court. Or to hear the nasty rumors about us as we patrol the halls together. Rumors of us being nothing more than just two depraved and shameless individuals who unspeakable things behind closed doors. ” You shuddered. “It makes me feel bad.”
“But they’re true, aren’t they?” he chuckled, placing a quick in the space between where your jawline begins and your ear lobe ends.
You scowled at him. “That’s not the point.”
“Sorry, I couldn't resist teasing you,” Capitano snickered into your skin. “But I understand what you mean, dear. It’s quite… tiring to listen to those rumors and suffer through those attempts at flirtations,” he sighed. But then he turned to you and smiled, softly. “So I am more than content with being truthful about our relationship, love. Our love for each other will never be a secret, starting today.”
You kissed him, happiness effectively consuming you. But once you broke away, you frowned. “It’s a shame that the way our relationship was discovered was… well, like that. I wish it were more romantic.”
Capitano chuckled and kissed you again. “Well, if you ask me, darling, every time we make love is quite romantic.” He looked at you and smirked. “Though, I’m more than willing to… ‘let go’, if you will, and make it more carnally driven. Would you like that, darling?”
arlecchino is more than able to defend herself
in the past, she’s refused any and all offers of a personal bodyguard from her royal court
until you came along, just a new recruit when it came to the life inside the castle, guarding the lady arlecchino
the moment she spotted you, arlecchino knew she couldn’t have you out of her sights. what if something happened to her precious soldier? or worse, someone snatched you up and put a pretty ring on your finger before she could
she just could not stand the possibility of that happening, not one bit
so, she put the idea of you as a personal bodyguard into the court’s heads. and, soon enough, your name and file was presented to her when the court offered more candidates for her protection
a while after your promotion, the lines between professional and unprofessional blurs as you began your secret courtship with the lady
and a secret it is! arlecchino goes above and beyond to ensure your relationship isn’t known
well, that is until one evening where you were escorting arlecchino from a feast. which, directly after leaving, she pinned you into a nearby corner after
which is exactly the position two patrolling guards found you two in, with gaped mouths as they saw arlechino’s lips on your neck, glaring daggers at them
One moment, you were saying goodbye to Arlecchino’s guests on her behalf as you escorted her out of the chamber. Her arm was slung around your shoulder, and the lady of the castle was bold enough to lean into you. Luckily, everyone seemed too cup-shotten to bat an eye at the sight. Still, you waved goodbye and shuffled along with Lady Arlecchino on your shoulder.
And then just as the doors to the main hall are closed, Arlecchino snaps out of her drowsy state. She grabs you by the wrist and leads you around the corner, quickly pinning you to the wall. Your breath hitches as you look into her eyes, the red ‘x’ shape in each boring into you. Her lips were pressed into a tight line, and her breathing deepened as a blush spread over her lovely face.
“Want you,” she slurred out, her eyes tracing the outline of your lips. “I want you so bad, dove.”
“Arlecchino, we’re out in the open,” you hissed, craning your neck to look over Arlecchino’s shoulders.
“That didn’t stop us before,” she chuckled into your skin, now pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses along your jawline. But they were more like pecks than kisses, leaving you with the desire for more.
“Anyone can see us.”
“So?” Arlecchino lips pulled back into a mischievous grin. “Maybe I want them to see.”
You looked into her eyes once more, your cheeks set ablaze. Your whole body felt hot, and you felt a wave of excitement— or maybe arousal— course through you. Finally, you relaxed under Arlecchino’s eyes and let her descend upon your neck.
She nibbled on your neck and you gasped. “Arlecchino!”
She cooed at you in response, kissing over the harsh mark she bit into your neck. “Need to show them all you’re mine, darling. Please, keep quiet.”
“No, Arlecchino—”
She pulled up from your neck and frowned. “What is it, darling? Do you wish to stop?”
“No,” you breathed out. But then you caught something in the corner of your eye and said, “But—”
“Hm, good,” the lady practically purred. “Now, where were we, my love?”
Something clattered to the ground behind you two, which made Arlecchino snap around and put her back to your chest. Both her chest and yours heaved and swelled as you took in the surroundings, preparing for some clumsy attack.
But instead, your eyes find a pair of guards on patrol. Their mouths were agape, and one of them had very clearly dropped their shield to the ground in surprise.
“L-lady Arlecchino,” one stuttered. “What are you—”
“Can’t you see we’re a little bit busy?” Arlecchino nearly snarled, lifting herself up to her full height, easily towering over the two guards. You couldn’t help but nearly moan at the intimidating sight.
The two guards looked at Lady Arlecchino, then at you, and then at themselves. A silent conversation seemed to pass between them both, as they both gave her a stuttered nod.
“Sorry ma’am,” one murmured as they bent down to pick up their shield.
Their partner grabbed them by the elbow and dragged them further down the corridor. “Have a nice evening, Lady Arlecchino.”
You both waited a moment, listening intently to the bickering voices that drifted down the hall. Once they had gone far enough, Arlecchino’s shoulders came back down and she heaved a heavy sigh.
“These are the people I’m hiring?” she asked herself. Then, Arlecchino looked over her shoulder and smiled warmly at you. “Sorry you had to see that, my dear.”
You couldn’t help but smile back at her. “It’s fine, love. Though, aren’t you a bit worried that those guards will go blabber about seeing us make out in the hallway?”
Arlecchino shrugged. “It was going to get out sooner or later, so I don’t think it really matters. But are you worried, darling?” she took your hands into hers. “Because if you are, I can call those idiots back here and—”
“No, that’s not necessary,” you say quickly.
“Ah, alright then,” she smiled. “Now, would you like to continue this or…?”
You answered Arlecchino’s question by initiating a passionate kiss, your hands and hers breaking apart to roam around each other.
“Hm, very good, darling,” she mumbled against your lips. “Now, let’s carry this to my chambers before someone catches us doing more than just making out.”
dottore didn’t hire you for his protection
although he’ll never admit it, the real reason he hired you was because he was lonely
being cooped up in a lab all day with clones drives dottore mad, so it’s only fair that he at least gets someone new to look at
though, you serve as dottore’s lab assistant more than his bodyguard
which is fine to dottore. to be honest, he though you served up your usefulness on the first day
but he was glad to be proven wrong, thankfully
and dottore won’t lie that seeing your face all day brings a comfort to him
but between all the accidental touches and longing stares, something was bound to finally happened between you two
so it shouldn’t be so surprising that you and dottore have abandoned a professional relationship and moved on to romance and passion
what is surprising is the fact that you two had managed to keep a secret for so long
but of course, just when you and dottore had thrown caution out the window and indulged in one another, dottore’s physician decides to finally check in on his lord
which leads to the physician discovering you and dottore in a very scandalous position
but to be honest, dottore only gets mad because your time together was interrupted. he couldn’t really care if the physician saw you two together
dottore is more than relieved that he no longer has to pretend there isn’t something between you two... it would jus tbe nice if his physician picked up his jaw and left already
“My dear assistant,” he murmured from beside you. “Can you look at me for a moment?”
You smiled. “Of course, my love. Though, I would prefer it if you addressed me by—” you stopped, the breath sucked out of you when you noticed just how close Dottore was to you.
You stood before Dottore as he analyzed your face. His eyes darted from one spot to the next, memorizing each detail he couldn’t see before. But his eyes paused on your lips, over and over, and he can’t help but part his own.
He smirked. “Just as I thought.”
“What?” you asked, snapping out of your fluster.
“I had my suspicions for a while,” Dottore began, “but after a brief examination, I’m afraid that it’s true.”
“And what’s that?” you challenged.
“Oh, just that you’re completely enamored by me,” Dottore said, a cocky grin pulling his lips to the side. “And, luckily for you, I have just the cure.”
And before you knew it, Dottore had coaxed you onto his table. He had brushed everything to the side, ignoring the sounds of the stacks of papers falling and glass breaking. Dottore’s lips chased yours as he kissed you over and over, his hands roaming your thighs as he sandwiches his pelvis between them. He was desperate for you, and you couldn’t help but be just as desperate.
Your hands made their way into his blue hair and Dottore hips stuttered, pulling out a soft gasp from you. One glance down and you were greeted with a familiar sight, which earned a chuckle from you. But before you could tease him, he grabbed your hips and slowly guided you towards him. Your breath hitched as your pelvis grazed over his and Dottore laughed at your reaction.
“Oh, look at you,” he cooed. “Already so desperate for me, hm? You’re practically drooling, dear.”
Your cheeks burned, but you managed to snap back at him. “You act like you’re not as desperate, Dottore.”
His chest rumbled with a deep chuckle from within. “My, you’re already talking back to me?” He smiled and leaned close to you. “Isn’t it a little early for you to be so bratty?”
But before you could reply with a carefully crafted retort, the familiar creak of the lab’s door interrupted you.
You whipped your head over and saw Dottore’s physician by the door. You froze, while Dottore simply looked over his shoulder, very much annoyed.
His mouth hung open as he took in the sight of you and Dottore. He dropped his pen and clipboard in his shock, and made no move to pick them up. For a minute, you worried that the old man was experiencing a heart attack from the shock.
“I-I heard some glass breaking and came to check on y-you, Lord Dottore,” the physician’s eyes filtered over to you. Instinctively, you leaned away from his sight so you hid behind Dottore, slightly. “Are you alright, my Lord?”
“Well, if you couldn’t see already, we’re perfectly alright,” he replied.
“Are you sure, my—”
Dottore nearly snarled. “Yes, I’m very sure. Now, please, leave.”
With that, the physician picked up his things, shut the door, and scurried down the hall.
Dottore sighed, “Idiots. I work with idiots,” he caught your eye and smiled. “But not you. Now, where were we?”
“But are you not… bothered, at all? The physician just saw us together and… well, you know,” you said, embarrassment coursing through you.
Dottore frowned. “Darling, if you’re worried about my reputation; don’t be. I consider it a great honor to be your lover, and I could care less about what others think,” he looked at you again, and smiled warmly. “Now, would you like to continue what we started?”
You nodded.
“Words, love.”
“Yes.”
“Excellent,” Dottore leaned over and resumed pressing kissed into your neck. “And my dear, don’t worry about being quiet. The whole castle will know about us by the time I’m done with you anyway, so there’s no reason to hide your pleasure.”

Il Capitano being a single father for his little daughter
A/N: I am writing this right after finishing 5.0 archon quest, so these are based on the little information I have on the character right now. However, if any major changes for his character will occur in the future, I might make an updated version for this. Also, this is my very first work and English is not my first language, so I already want apologise in advance if the quality of this post will not satisfy the readers.
Warnings: A somewhat absent father lol
When it comes to work, Capitano likes to keep it professional. Long distance trips to Mondstad or Natlan or any other region can be very tiring for a grown adult, let alone for a small child who can get easily bored by sitting in one place for long periods of time. His Harbinger duties not only include diplomatic meetings, but can also be related to something way more dangerous that can turn a quick simple meeting into a deadly battle zone. So do not expect him to bring his kid to missions, that is off the limits.
At first Capitano would leave his daughter at his Snezhnaya residence, where he would entrust experienced midwives to take care of her while he would be gone. However, as time goes on, his daughter eventually would grow into her toddler phase, which meant that now she wanted to explore the world around her and has become way more interested in her father, who frequently would leave for days or, at certain times, even weeks.
Capitano would keep his dedication and loyalty to the Tsaritsa the same level as it was before his daughters birth, even if it meant that he had to make his work a priority during the crucial early stages of his daughters life. However it does not mean that he never intended to fulfil his parental duties. Even when Capitano's workload increased, he tried his best to finish everything quickly and when he finally had the free time to spend it at home, he focused on giving all the attention to his little girl as much as he could.
Actually, Capitano would end up putting in lots of work to learn how to change her diapers, pick the right clothes, put her down for naps and even help her out when it came to exploring the outside area of their home. He completely understood the fact that his daughter would never be able to grow up with a mother, so he tried his best to focus on becoming a good father.
Eventually, his daughter would reach the age, where she refused to just stay curious about the work trips her father had, but she wanted to join them too. Although, all of her requests were quick to be denied, she never intended to give up on joining at least one of the missions Capitano had. That is when she started to try sneaking out the house to follow him to work. Of course, Capitano would immediately notice her and send her back home before she could manage to get herself in some type of danger.
As his daughters sneaky behavior continued, Capitano came to an understanding that the best way to keep her out of his work, would be to show her how dangerous it could get. To scare her. To make her not want to involve herself with this sort of danger again. Of course, he knew that with his strength alone he would be able to protect her with ease, yet it was his daughters excitement to join his missions and be able to fight together with him that he wished to be gone. He knew it was selfish, but he already had lost the person he loved the most before, he did not want to lose her in the future too.
Finally, the day he was waiting for had come. Capitano quickly noticed his daughter trailing behind his group of Fatui soldiers that were following him to a small patrol mission outside the city. Everyone, except her, were aware of that days mission, so as they reached the treasure hunter base and a heated discussion had begun, it was only a surprise for her when everything quickly escalated into a fight.
To Capitano the result of this battle was obvious, The Fatui would win, yet he extended the fight for a bit longer than usual so the event he was waiting for would certainly go in motion. After a mere minute a small scream came from behind him, it was his daughters. Only five seconds had passed before the treasure hunter, that managed to get a hold of his little girl, was laying on the ground, completely unconscious. He smiled to himself, however since he was wearing his mask she was not able to see it. But the reason why he was smiling was because he already had practiced the lecture he was ready to give her any second now, Capitano finally picked her up and came to face her and only to realise that....
His plan had failed. The result Capitano hoped for quickly turned into a complete opposite of what he had expected, as his daughter stared back at him with the most happiest face he had ever seen her have. Her eyes sparkled brighter than the goddamn Tevyat sky and her smile was wider than the Tartaglia's who usually got very excited when he got to walk next to him. It was now all clear to him. She would definitely not let him leave her alone anymore.
After that day she started to follow her father everywhere around the house. It took a while of her pleading to finally get her a wooden sword and start teaching her the beginning stages of swordsmanship. Although, he knew that she was his real daughter, Capitano was somewhat surprised when she would be able to learn everything so quickly. Additionally her strength surpassed the boys who were two or three years older than her. Finally, it was the moment when he realised that she had inherited his talent and the crazy passion for swordsmanship he had within him too.
When his daughter finally reached the age where he felt confident in her progress, Capitano introduced her to the Knave. He knew that, by leaving his daughter in Fontaine, she would be able to slowly get introduced to the Fatui and improve her fighting abilities by gaining her own experience in less dangerous environment than his missions were.
Of course his daughter was still a child and did not have the happiest reaction when she realised he would just start leaving her in a different nation and continue on with his own work without her, but with a simple explanation and some time, she held no resentment against her father. She knew that he would still keep on visiting her and check on her progress and maybe, just maybe, one day, he would finally see her reach the point from which she would finally be able to join him on his missions.
However Capitano knew that, as the first Fatui Harbinger, his missions were often the most difficult ones, so if his daughter wished to join him one day, she would have to keep working hard for many years. But as her father, he was ready to keep on supporting her, all the way throughout the path his daughter decided to follow, even if it meant that he would have to be absent for certain moments of it.
Just food for thought but what if Capitano is just a ghost that possesed an old armor(maybe even his own)?
Well now you've got me thinking of the phantom armor from Legend of Zelda, it would be interesting to consider what he was before the armor.
The thing about Capitano is that there's a pretty solid chance that he's could be:
a. Stupidly handsome
b. A literal void
c. Some sort of abyss creature
And I've seen a lot of posts floating around saying "something something bloodstained knight". And for this very reason, I'm betting my kneecap and what little sanity I have left that he's some sort of ghost or ancient entity, because that would be awesome and an excuse to give him a good ol' tragic backstory. I'm a sucker for tragic knights and old heroes, so that would fit very nicely in my book.
But just the principle of him haunting his old armor in pursuit of some past duty that he still clings to... Delicious. I'm shoving the idea into my mouth as we speak. Even if the person he swore to serve is long dead, his loyalty is the kind that spans lifetimes. His service to the Tsaritsa is merely a stepping stone, an avenue in which he directs his strength.
Perhaps he's forgotten what he fights for, but he continues regardless. Someday he'll remember. That'll be the day he finds peace.

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ Capitano recognizes your ancient name before he recognizes you. Ororon thinks it's about time to confess his feelings to his childhood friend. You just wanted to protect your homeland.

It had started with Ororon.
With the Chrysanthemum he delicately weaved into your hair.
Red red red like the vision that burns at your hip.
Red like the boy-heart you wished to carve out.
It had ended with the Capitano.
With verglas weaving across your arms from his most intimate touch.
Blue, blue, blue like the creature that claimed to know you.
Blue like the veins that harbor such a melancholy legacy.
The chipped wood of the basket pierces your palm, tiny splinters pricking at soft flesh. You don't fully register the twinge; the pain is too silken, too delicate. Instead, you tighten your fist around the wooden handle daring the splinters to puncture, to draw blood. At least then you'd have a reason to visit Ororon, a reason to pry open his door and interrupt his precious isolation.
You'd like to forget about him.
The ignorant boy with the mismatched eyes.
Leave him to rot in his secluded cabin.
But it's all so hard to shake the saccharine memories of the all too lanky boy who used to hold your hand as you played hide and seek with Iktomisaurs in the forest.
Granny Itztli had requested ingredients for a ritual sermon taking place two moons from now. Nightshades and Quenepa Berrys and sand from the cost. "Have you talked to Ororon recently?" Granny asks, her brows furrowed in annoyance or worry or some other emotion too masked to fully read. You shake your head, gingerly plucking the ingredients from your basket and sprawling them across the table. "He hasn't been returning any of my letters, or even answering the tribesman's requests for his vegetables. I swear if that boy-"
You can feel her anger slipping out, the tendrils of her powers lashing at the air, slithering across the walls. You gulp, grasp tightening once more against your basket's handle. The wood scraps at your skin grounding you as you let out a shaky breath. "I'll check on him for you granny," you blurt out trying to plaster a desperate smile across your face. Citlali's eyes soften as she looks at you taking in your taut stance. "I'd always wished for him to pick you as his bride." She mused hand waving the air as if to dispel her anger like smoke. "you'd have been the perfect wife for my foolish grandson, someone to keep an eye on him and his whimsy wills of inanity." She sighs ushering you to the door. "Still I suppose it's not too late."
You turn on your heels defiance ripe on your tongue. Ororon had once been a dear friend, a brother. And while the memories are wrapped in golden velvet and honey. You'd much rather pluck the nails from your fingers than marry that weirdo. But before the protest could be launched the door is solemnly slammed in your face.
You fasten the cloak along your neck, pull the hood over your head
before making your way to the lone cabin in the woods. Skipping along the broken road swinging your empty basket.
The cabin itself is petit and serene, a pretty little heap of wood and spray paint with its renowned vegetable garden stretching the whole diameter. "Ororon," you call out, surprised at how bitter his name tastes. Rotton, almost forgotten. "Ororon," you knock at the door.
Four knocks.
Four pounds.
All accompanied by the bitter name spilling from behind your teeth.
But there is no answer, nothing outside the peaceful lull of the breeze and the distant shrikes of Yumkasaurs.
Nothing.
Well, maybe it's for the best.
You'd have shown him your blistered palm should he have answered. Shown him the blood and silently prayed he'd hold your hand and bandage your wound with all the tenderness of an eight-year-old boy bandaging his best friend's bleeding knee.
It's only when you've started back on the road, heading towards the grand stadium, that you hear something—an icy omen whispering along the horizon. You look around, greeted by nothing but Natlan's nature. Slowly, you start to leave the path, trudging through grass and marching up the little hills, following the distant chill in the air.
What was it Granny always said about straying off the path?
Something about tragedy and trouble waiting beyond the trees.
Only this time, trouble -or rather tragedy- lays behind a set of rocks, half a mile from the cabin. That's when you finally see them. The chill in the air has grown harsher here, biting at your bare arms. You pull your hood further over your head, wrapping the rest of the cape around yourself in a bid for warmth. From the rock you've concealed yourself behind, you can hear two men speak.
Ororon stands before a man, no not a man. Such a human word could not describe the terrifying thing that loomed outside the sun's reach.
Your ears perk at the low timbre of his growl. The monster spews blasphemy, sacrilege, against your dear archon. Calling her a coward for not using the gnosis, calling her inept.
You feel his words cutting through you, lacrations running deep. Your body is on fire your vision boling by your side. What's worst is that Ororon listens, humming along in acknowledgment. You can taste the molten anger stinging the roof of your mouth, feel the embers burning your tongue. Your hand covers your mouth, nails sinking into your cheek to avoid permitting the frustration to break free and blowing your cover.
You turn swiftly, using the cover of rocks and trees to shadow your escape.
Desperately dashing for the path that'll lead you back to your village. Granny Itztli and the tribe leader must hear of this. They must know that Ororon has joined the Fatui and is planning to steal the Archon's gnosis.
The problem, however, may have been the red cape you'd draped yourself in, its bright color catching the wrong sun rays at the wrong time. Luminous enough to catch the captain's attention.
You feel the world slipping, sunlight giving way to a ghoulish purple glow. Your feet hit the battered pavement of the path, right before the world turns to black.
You scream just as something pulls you away...
You've been here before, several times in fact. This is the night kingdom or at least an astral realm within the night kingdom. Your body -your real body- is probably laying limp in the grass being licked by some saurian.
"(y/n), what are you doing here?" Ororon's voice is muffled, distant. A cloud scraping across the rougher edges of the sky. His ghastly apprehension hovers behind you, you can feel his chilled breath on your neck.
You try to speak, to answer. But the words never leave your mouth. You must remember that the shadow world has rules. That you can not move with your legs or speak with your tongue. You form the words like bubbles floating in the air. Waiting for them to pop, to unleash your voice amongst the gloom.
"I was looking for you, granny's worried. Apparently, you've disappeared."
His nails scrape at your neck. Fitting the delicate bones between the cusp of his palm. "But I'm right here" he whispers in your ear, resting his chin on your shoulder. "Sorry, I wasn't there to greet you. I've been...busy".
"Ororon" The voice echoes across the cavern, loud and disturbing. You feel frost leak from every syllable. Your eyes widen as the black-clad monster marches forward body rigid embodying authority and discipline in every move.
Is this how everyone from Snezhnaya looks?
Taut and stiff and malicious?
Draped in furs and armor.
Ominous and cruel.
"This is my friend (y/n) we grew up together. Isn't she cute Capitano?" Ororon ends the statement with a mock peck to your neck. Despite its fleeting nature you still wince at the invasion.
You don't recall Ororon being so bold, so satirizing. Has the folly of the fatui bled into him? Rotted his essence and painted it anew?
"Get rid of her, we haven't the time to waste on such..." The man, no the nightmare. Stops in front of you. His bulky clothes remind you of the Tatankasaurs that roam the sandy southwest.
The captain's mask is sheer black. Murkey candance that hides his mysterious visage. But you notice the jerky way his head tilts down the way you can't escape the strange pierce of his unseable eyes.
"Do I know you" it's phrased as an order, a demnad.
Tell me what you are, what you're supposed to mean to me.
But there is no answer to greet it. Nothing apart from an unsteady silence. You can not know this ice-cold man. From behind you Ororon stiffens, "Do you know the captain." he asks, a silver of betrayal lacing his words. You only shake your head, narrowing your eyes to try and pry beyond the abyss of his mask.
Capitano's hand grips at your fingers pulling them up to his mask. Your heart stops as you see him bow his head, the cold of his helmet biting into your flesh. You hear the kiss like an arrow piercing the ever-looming eeriness of the night kingdom.
Capitano utters your name.
Rolls it around his mouth trying to savor the nostalgia.
Trying to crack open every syllabus and taste its familiarity.
"(y/n)..."
Your body lays limb amongst the grass, from atop the green hill Capitano observes your sleeping form. His eyes trace every curve and crevasse of your body jotting each detail to memory.
You look like so ethereal like this. Blood red amid the green and gold of the prairie. The humor of it all isn't lost on him after all he's partaken in more than his fair share of carnage. And that's exactly what you look like, a beautiful corpse laying in her puddle of blood. A macabre laceration layed upon Natlan's corse.
The sun beats down. Its rays too warm and treasonous.
It's only then that Capitano realizes where he's seen you before.
This exact scene, the blood pooling from beneath, the body lying amidst the grass, the sun blessing the slayed warrior in its light.
He knows you...
You don't remember waking up. Don't recall commanding your stiff muscles to move. Nor do you recall the first sight your wry eyes landed upon.
All you remember is running.
Blurred greens and reds of the scenery rushing by.
Granny must know of this.
The tribe must know of this.
Ororon is a traitor. A conspirator in a plot against Mavurika.
You're not quite sure why your heart stings when you think of this.
Your mouth is dry, ash coating your lips as Citlali glares down at you. Ororon's face flashes behind your eyes. You see him everywhere. Hear his gentle voice shushing you. Your ears are ringing, his voice whispering how much he's missed you, how much he wants you by his side once more.
Citlali says something, you think she's scolding you for traversing the pathway. She's gone in the next blink, essence lingering in a spinning room. Ororon kneels in front of you. No, not Ororon just some spectre wearing his face.
Or maybe it's his astral projection. Maybe he can't let you utter a word of what you saw.
"Just keep quiet darling. I promise this will all make sense soon." His fingers spark when they grace your cheek. Solid and spirit all at once. You try to touch his hand, to sink the sparks inside you, to feel Ororon once more. Instead, your finger collides with your own soft flesh.
The colors are chipping away.
Someone is calling your name.
Ororon or Citlali?
Maybe they've always been the same.
Why is the room spinning?
Why is it so dark...
You shouldn't be out. The sun is too harsh, merciless. You ring your palm across your basket's handle letting the friction rub the flesh raw.
Granny had warned you to stay inside. To avoid Ororon and whatever else you'd seen. But you can't let this go, the words may die upon your tongue but there must be evidence hidden somewhere. Evidence that you can present to the pyro archon, evidence that could save everything.
"Did you really miss me that much?" His voice is sharper than any arrow from his bow. Ororon stands blocking your path the captain hovering beside him.
Weren't you always told the path would be safe?
Capitano reaches out, metal fingers wrapping around your fragile wrist he pulls you to him, dark mask peering beyond you. Trying to piece you together. From behind you feel Ororon's lips sneaking up your neck. You scream, a shriveled sound. "Didn't you come all this way just to see us?" Ororon asks between open-mouthed kisses, you writher between their bodies desperate to escape. Tears flowed from your shiny eyes.
You're so pretty when you cry Ororon feels bad for admitting that. But he can't help but admire how innocent and helpless you look, trapped between two monsters.
It's only now that he notices your red hood is adorned with embroidered Chrysanthemum, for a moment Ororon thinks it has something to do with flowers he used to braid into your hair. Back when he'd been too young to fully understand destiny and you'd been too young to understand legacy.
"I came to find evidence of your betrayal." You spit, free hand reaching into your basket to try to find your ancient name. Tears trickle from your eyes as the captain leans closer. Your fingers finally graze the forged feather and you pry it out, holding it to your chest, feeling its power coursing through you.
Your elbow collides harshly with Ororon's rib, as he tumbles backward you gain enough space to sidekick the captain. Only for it to be blocked by his iron-clad hand. The metal makes your bones ring a sharp pain that leaves your leg numb.
"You bear an ancient name?" Capitano asks, skeptical. You roll your eyes despite your better judgment. Capitano releases your wrist, instead reaching out to try and grab your ancient name. In the millisecond of freedom, you stalk backward before sprinting back to the tribe. Your basket forgotten at the captain's feet.
"she bears the ancient name Ayizu," Ororon says, still clutching his side.
Capitano swallows the information. Letting the sharp edges nick at his throat. He'd had been uncertain before despite all the parallels.
But now the shock was rolling through him like lightning bolts. That's why you looked so familiar. Not only did you bare Ayizu's name but there was no doubt in Capitano's mind that you were one of his descendants.
The captain chuckles a mirthless noise. The irony feels like a blistering burn blooming upon his rotting flesh. "She's quite loyal." he begins, blacked gaze traveling to Ororon. "She'd make a valuable asset in our quest to save Natlan. Fetch her for me will you Ororon?" It's nothing less than an order one that Ororon may be a bit too keen on fulfilling.
"Oh and Ororon, we need to start you on a training agenda. I fear you are the most pathetic warrior Natlan has ever seen."
Ororon's eyes sunken before traversing up the captain's imposing form.
"Yes sir" he mumbles, biting his lips to avoid moaning at the deliciously sharp pain you've gifted him.
It's dark again,
You let the sharp wood of your basket cut into your palm. Relishing in the familiar feeling as blood mars the wooden handle. When did your basket return? You could have sworn you'd abandoned it with your attackers,
The path beneath your feet is cracked and broken. Smeared in ice and ectoplasm. Still, you walk forward into the abyss. There's nowhere else to go.
You expected them to be there. To see their towering forms amidst the darkness. Instead, you see them lounging between the blacked boulders.
Soldiers fresh from the fight. You don't enquire about their endeavors about the horrors you're sure they've inflected upon your land. But before you can fully walk past Capitano grabs your wrist and pulls you into his lap. "Stop" You struggle to break free, only for him to grab your chin and force your eyes onto his faceless visage. "So you're the descendent of my old friend? The inheritor of his noble name." You feel bile creeping up your throat. "Don't insult my ancestor, he'd never associate with the likes of you." you spite.
Capitano chuckles and signs, pulling his mask up a smidge to reveal decayed flesh. You gasp, an opportunity he ceases to pull you into a deep kiss, teeth biting and tearing at your soft lips, his holed tongue running over your teeth. You try to scream to cry, suffocating from the floral-scented rot. When the captain finally pulls back you run your fingers over pained lips smearing the blood across your cheek and chin.
"You should smile more" Ororon teases nipping at your ear until you wince, his hands move up and down your hips squeezing every so often. He's never been this bold before. You blame the Fatuis staring down at you. Blame the Outlander and his weird ways, somehow the irony is utterly lost on you.
"Please just let me go" you beg, your body is on fire your vision pulsing once more. "You're a captain surely you must understand why I'm so eager to protect my people from you?" Ororon laughs, littering your cheek with tiny kisses. "I understand," Capitano responds, his fingers dabbing your blood-covered lips. "I'm desperate to save Natlan too." He brings the red-coated digit to his mouth, sucking softly.
"We all want to protect Natlan" Ororon chips in. "That's why you should join us, honor your ancient name." You shake your head, almost as if you're shaking the nightmare away. "There is no honor in what you're doing."
You feel something around your neck. Metalic fingers wrapping tightly around your throat. Clutching tighter and tighter. With his other hand, the Captain removes his mask.
You scream...
The room is cold, freezing.
Your calloused palm squeezes trying to feel the handle of your wooden basket. When your nails only dig into your own skin, you awaken, head darting trying to find your precious basket.
It's on the table...
You don't have a table by your bed.
Beside you, someone tightens their hold on your waist pulling you into an icy stiff chest. Captiano's breath is cold, his voice gruff with sleep as he whispers little adorations into your ear. You're only now realizing Ororon lying in front of you, his lithe fingers playing with your neck.
No not your neck. There's something wrapped around your throat, no one the cold was unbearable, this "necklace" must be made of pure cyro. "You look so pretty like this." Ororon mumbles, daring to connect his lips to yours in a sheepish, sloppy attempt at a kiss. You wrangle your head to the side breaking the pathetic kiss. Behind you, you feel Capitano's chest rumble in laughter.
"Really Ororon must I teach you everything?" Capitano pushes Ororon's head roughly until his lips are on yours, "Open your mouth" he commands. To which both of you obey not knowing who he's referring to. Slowly Ororon permits his tongue to wander past your lips and into your mouth. Satisfied Capitano begins to suckle and kiss your neck, his sharp teeth effortlessly breaching skin.
"I know you don't believe me when I say, I'm here to save Natlan." Capitano whispers. "But I helped your Ancestor defend this land once, and I shall do it again." Capitano sits up stiffly, his hand on your shoulder using ice to keep you in place. "The war with the Abyss is starting soon. You'll be safe here while Ororon and I make the final preparations." He sighs fully turning to you.
For the first time, you see the rot and decay that has marred his once gorgeous face. You gulp, swallowing your screams, letting his words sink in like the ice chaining you. Capitano pulls himself from the bed, making his way to the door. Ororon gives you a final kiss before also retreating from the bed and going to stand by the captain.
"If we survive this, I don't intend to take you to Snezhnaya. Frankly, I don't think either of you could survive the cold." He jokes, and you notice it's the first time his serious icy facade has cracked. "You will be safe here with Ororon and I'll visit you as much as my duties permit." strange how his words almost, almost sounded like 'I love you' muttered in a foreign tongue enclosed in ice. Something impossible to thaw out.
"I'm sorry about this darling," Ororon mutters as he follows the captain out. "But we'll be back soon." He offers you a soft smile before closing the door. One that makes your heart melt. Instead of a kidnapper, you see the little boy who used to own your heart.
The door closes leaving you to bask in all the glory of your doom.

Apologies this is definitely not my best work but I just wanted to get something out for these two. May end up writing something better later on.
