Not sure if you answered this before, but what are you using at the bottom of your axolotl's tank? It looks kind of like a tile, and I've been wondering how well that works. My little 'lotl is currently in a tank with large river rocks on the bottom.

It is indeed tile. I had them on sand before but got fed up with cleaning it (lots of little food particles and such were always drifting around) and thought tile would be neater. It probably would be... if I had epoxied it together, but I left it loose like a silly goose and now all the food particles just get trapped between the tiles. On the plus side, I’m experimenting now with planting some dwarf hairgrass between the tiles to give it a cute “ruined courtyard” type look. We’ll see if that actually works.

I got the tile via sample packs from Home Depot (not the cheapest option really) and tested it extensively prior to putting the axolotls back in the tank. They rate it two out of two weirdly upraised legs.

1. What would your perfect day consist of?

Hanging out with friends. Probably start with breakfast at Café Du Monde, followed by a walkabout the Quarter, a comic shop run and end it with dinner/hookah/belly dancer at Attiki.

2. What is the coolest thing about you?

My attitude? Most people in general tend to get on well with me so I've gotta be doing something right.

3. What, if anything, do you put in your coffee or tea?

I usually make Vietnamese coffee so I French press the ground and just add in some condensed milk for flavor. It's strong, but awesome. As for tea it's usually just cream or milk and two sugars (I mostly drink black teas or Chai).

4. Is it soda or pop?

Neither. I live in New Orleans and here you either call it a soft drink or by it's name (ie: Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, etc).

5. What one thing in the world makes you stop in your tracks and think, "Whoa"?

I guess just how truly insignificant our lives are in the scale and balance of everything.

6. Favorite kind of Pringles?

That pizza flavoured one.

7. What is your favorite palindrome?

Never odd or even.

8. What is the best book/movie/tv series?

Book series: Millennium Trilogy , Movie series: The Blood and Ice Cream trilogy, TV series: Damn near everything Joss Whedon's ever made (Dollhouse and Angel are at the top for me).

9. Which billionaire playboy does shit better: Batman or Iron Man?

oh... so THAT is why you tagged me, eh? Iron Man, no freaking contest.

10. If there was one thing you could learn, what would you want to learn?

Uhm... probably another language. I know bits of random languages but I've never been fluent in anything other than English. I'd love to learn something like German or Swedish or Welsh or Irish.
