you know what’s one of the most shittiest thing you can do to a person? make them feel unheard and that they’re uninteresting. if they’re telling a story, don’t say shit like:

“that story really isn’t even funny”

“you told this a thousand times.”

“okay are you done?”

even worse, don’t be on your phone when someone is trying to talk to you. the worst thing you can do to a person’s confidence is make them feel like their opinions and stories are unimportant, invalidated, and even worse, boring. that will absolutely crush them and teach them to not even try to connect with people through speech. it will only validate the voice in their head that constantly tells them, “nobody thinks your interesting. nobody cares about what you have to say so just shut up,” until they stop talking all together.

So I’m pretty single right now. Have been for a while. Only have really been in a relationship with 1 person yet I don’t consider myself inexperienced when it comes to dating. I feel extremely knowledgeable on the subject. I know what I want. I set my standards high. It’s not unreasonable to want someone who will be good for you. Never settle.

sometimes I push people out because I don’t have time for them anymore. i don’t want to ruin it by neglecting that relationship/friendship so I end it by just going radio silent. i know it sounds bad but it’s not as bad as letting something die off slowly and painfully. this way I just rip the bandaid. it’s efficient.
