Things have been really hard since 2020, and in the later half of 2025 I finally feel like I've started recovering and things in life are going okay, so I want to share my highlights of this past year to look back on when things get hard again.

In december of 2024 I passed my final college courses and prepared for graduation.

April: I was accepted as 1 of 10 scholars out of 3k applicants to work on a research project in the field of Evolutionary Biology at LSU for 1 year funded by the NSF.

I passed the 1 year mark of being free from self harm

May: I attended the class 2025 graduation commencement, recieved my bachelor's degree, a moment that for many years I thought would not happen

I spent a day with my dearest, whom I thought I would never see again

June: I moved to Baton Rouge, which was hard but have since grown accustomed

August: Established some routines that let me keep in contact with my friends which makes me happy

November: I recieved my research project, which I will be conducting and writing a paper for to present at the Evolution conference of 2026.

December: I visited Hawaii for a brief 3 days to attend a scientific conference, which I never thought I would see in my lifetime. I saw cool birds and animals including wild sea turtles

I'm grateful
