We Choose to Go to the Moon at Carnegie Hall was quite a different experience from the WWI presentation by the same organizers that I saw last year, because I’m more familiar with both the historical story and the music of the era, but it was still absolutely incredible as an experience and I cried multiple times.
The presentation was planned months in advance, so it was just a happy accident for yesterday’s performance to happen the day after Artemis II’s lunar flyby, but they included photos taken in the past week in the overhead projections and that made it really spectacular. And they added this in the playbill.
I know the whole production was being filmed for PBS and I hope it’s available to watch there soon!
