Artemis II vs Apollo 7
In a lot of ways, Artemis II's mission is similar to Apollo 7. Both were the first crewed missions of a spacecraft designed to go beyond low Earth orbit (LEO). Apollo 7 stayed in LEO as there was plenty to be concerned about and test, since the previous scheduled manned Apollo mission (Apollo 1) claimed the lives of three astronauts on the launch pad. Artemis II has the benefit of years of experience designing, building and testing spacecraft.
