Happy 35 Birthday to Jon Michael Hill.
i wound up taking one of the captain bell wips and making something out of it. a toxic relationship? because of the wrong way he's looking at love? with ethan seed? it's more likely than you think. woe. trash be upon ye.
new dawn doodles with my captain who has anger issues and who physically can't talk it out. also ethan seed is his toxic ex girlfriend who he didn’t even consent to dating in the first place.
missing Captain Bell hours. will never make his fic but it soothes my soul that he has all the tragic anime backstory ready and instead of being the kind-hearted shounen MC who believes in the power of friendship, he's just a really angry little guy who eats a radioactive apple

This really depends on the specific member of their crew i have like 12 fleshed out characters who populate that ship lol But in general, I think they'd probably describe them as... 'Reliable, not the brightest, but good-intentioned'. I think maybe some of the blunter folk would say 'dumb as a bag of rocks' which is... fair, given their complete lack of any kind of self-preservation instinct. They've got the spirit though! That's what counts.
🔑 Do they have favorite officers?
Captain Bell would say they don't have favorites, but they do. Of the canon officers it's probably The Hoarder (because of course it is) and the Fortunate Navigator. Of the non-canon ones, probably Ellison and Angie (who do their best to keep the ship from imploding on a day to day basis).

he got his tongue cut off when he was a kid and was stuck in a communal bunker with some psychos who were sick of all the crying kids and wanted less mouths to feed. (how did he not bleed to death/get an infection? main character plot armor.) thanks for the love, he really is just Some Guy whose unfortunate response to danger is fight or fight :D
