FALCON PUNCH!!! It's been 4 years already since I started drawing smash characters. Captain Falcon was one of the first (#11 to be precise) and I've been dying to draw him again fot quite some time. It's funny how nowadays more people recognize him as the super fast heavy fire punching guy we met in Smash Brothers instead of his racing persona from F Zero. I love his design and I always enjoy drawing him. When you guys begin to see Iris West-Allen, James Rhodes, Antoinette Topaz, Beth Chapel, Samuel Wilson, Finn, Maria Rambeau, Monica Rambeau and Margaret Pierce as more than advocates and defenders of their white partners/friends but as their own characters with their own stories, personalities and roles outside of supporting your white favourites, then I will know peace.

When fandoms stop hating these characters because they are black or ‘in the way’ of their favourite white ship, then I will rest.

When fandoms stop saying that they ‘just don’t see them as anything but siblings’ or ‘best friends’ or ‘that something about the character is annoying’, then the earth shall begin to heal.

When you realize that they mean something to black children and viewers out there than a cheerleader for your white bland leads, THEN WE WILL START TO FLOURISH.

You’re not slick. We see the racism and we call you out on it.
