On April 26, 1986, "Captain Midnight" (aka electrical engineer John MacDougall) hijacked HBO's satellite broadcast signal with a message protesting the network's exorbitant monthly fee. He'd also grown weary of round-the-clock showings of Porky's Revenge and Missing in Action 2: The Beginning, which is enough to break anyone.
