Ever since the movie released, I have been working on a main Iron Lung story that has its focus mainly on Simon/the Convict and my OC “Fishy”/the Creature (who is essentially the eel in the movie - the lore and plot of that is explained in the actual story~) The story I have planned can be summarized as a slow burn romance at its core, but of course, if you know me and my writing style, it’s much much more than a simple romance~
However, I have multiple AU’s I have concocted over the weeks, and currently two unique stories above them all that I’ve been working on simultaneously. I can’t decide which to prioritize/post first, so I thought perhaps I’d do my first poll here and see what you all think! If you are interested, please take the time to vote! It’ll be quite helpful for me, and if you have any further questions about the stories, I’m happy to answer in the comments! I’ve purposefully kept the summaries quite vague so as not to spoil too much about the major plot points involved.

Synopsis A for “Call my Name” Main Storyline: The Iron Lung was compromised, the boiling blood pouring in, flooding his lungs, his very being, and all was consumed in darkness. Or… it surely had been… until he saw the light. With lungs that breath once more, and a body once destroyed now whole again, Simon awakens to a second chance at the life that was torn away from him, …but to his initial horror, a life that was given back to him by the very creature that snuffed it away. Simon begins to learn the truth of his fate and those before him, all the while through a companionship with a being he could have never fathomed.

Synopsis B for “Captivity AU”: In the custody of the C.O.I. for over 16 years for what is undoubtedly a life sentence, Simon the Butcher takes a chance on the newly offered conviction realization program. Numerous convicts of both Eden and the C.O.I. are given this opportunity to gain their freedom and citizenship amongst the Consolidation, each given tasks relatively on par with the severity of their crimes. Once deemed complete, Simon will have at last earned his freedom. …But is freedom truly worth its cost when the Consolidation places him in circumstances that could, or perhaps even would, cut his life short? …surely it isn’t intentional.
