Ya hice lo del capture2text y pues cuando selecciono el texto en vez de aparecer lo que dice el texto aparecen símbolos o letras aleatorias
Recomiendo usar Capture2Text solamente para "escanear" texto en japonés.
Por lo que vi en la captura de tu pregunta anterior parece ser que quieres traducir un juego que está en inglés, ¿no? Si es así, recomiendo escribir el texto/diálogo del juego tal y como te aparece.
TRICK OR ALICE I AM SO DONE WITH YOU FBDJHVFHJDSJF
Now that I've downloaded Trick or Alice I see that the people who warned me that it is not AGTH/ITH compatible were right, and since my japanese is limited to only a couple hiragana there is no fucking way I can play it without any translator help. Only the voiced lines make somewhat sense.
I found these tools that can capture image text, and both have different problems:
1.Capture2text: If this worked playing the game would have been totally easy, I was counting on this *sob* It allows you to quickly OCR a small portion of the screen and, by default, save the result to the clipboard. So if you have TA running you would just get the translation, neat huh? But the OCR (Optical character recognition) part failed miserably for me, though it worked fine the 1st couple of minutes later it started making mistakes even for the words I can read myself *rage*
EDIT: I managed to improve the translations A LOT by selecting the OCR language as "Japanese(Tesseract). Now it has close to 80% success rate.
2.Online Japanese character recognition: This works MUCH better in case of accuracy, pretty much over 90% rate of success. Sometimes only one or two syllables wrong in one line or so. But you have to input a picture from which the site will recognize the characters, meaning you have to take screenshot of every line OMG SO MUCH WORK FFFFFF
Now if I could only extract the game .dat files, I could just extract the script and just copy the lines off the text.... but none of the tools I have can do it sob
As I said before, there's actually a way to play it with engrish translations.
Though it's quite tiring... But nevertheless it works fine.
First of all, thanks to TheFallen for posting on nihonomaru this solution! ^^
So, the program you will need is called Capture2Text. It's a program which can recognize through the images, the characters, and later, translate it.
It works fine. The problem is the process, since there's no "automatic" process to do it, so that would mean that you have to do it manually every time the text changes.
As for how it works, it's kind of tricky, so let me explain it here briefly (since on its page it doesn't explain clearly how does it work):
1. Extract the files and run the application. Once it's running, on the bottom right side of the screen, you'll see this icon:
2. Once the game is running, when the text appears, put your cursor at the front top left corner of the first character you are going to translate and press the Windows key+Q.
You will see at the top left corner a sort of rectangle, in which will later show a preview of the characters you are trying to translate.
3. Move the cursor, and you will see a blue "selection" rectangle, which will be the rectangle where you will select the text you want to translate.
4. Once you have selected the text , press again Windows key+Q or left click. At the center of the screen will appear a new windows with the text you have translated.
Press "Ok" and this text will appear on Translator Aggregator.
Again, you will have to repeat this same process every time the text changes.
I know it might be quite bothersome or tiring to do, but if you are really eager to try to understand the game's plot, then this is the only way available right now to translate the game.
Also, I'm not sure if it will always take the text perfectly every single time, since I just started to use it, so there may be not accurate characters when you are trying to select the text.
This solution is a great tool for those japanese otome flash games that are out there without engrish translations. :D
Hope this helped in some way! ^^
(if you encounter more problems, don't hesitate to ask me, I will gladly help you! :D)
