Sharalin, who I’m not sure has ever met a woman she didn’t flirt with
Cara, whose hobbies include turning sophisticated posh straight girls unstraight
Therlia, who falls in love with approximately 300 people every day and thus is an outlier adn should not be counted
Nerdiest
Edgar Allan Poe, who, despite living in a broken down country with zero laws and never staying in the same place for more than a few weeks, owns approximately 100 books. She doesn’t even like Edgar Allan Poe that much but look he was her first proper author of course she named herself after him.
Hilsa. “Yes okay my husband was force regenerated by his cousins so they could manipulate him and control our whole family, but I’m trying to do zoology here so I really don’t care. [Half an hour ramble on zoology].”
Xanthia, super srs general who sends prank gifts to the evil queen she’s at war with. Is also dating the queen.
Nicest
Marella, actual ray of sunshine and pure cinnamon roll who deserves far better than all this shit.
Eva, smol sweet pirate hunter with better principles than maybe any of my other OCs. All round best person. Also named after my little cousin.
Isaline. Way nicer to everyone than almost any of them deserve. Still won’t take your shit.
20. Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them? - I think she was mostly okay; Cara has a pretty good immune system and didn’t really live on an unhealthy island. Although she often got hurt, falling out of trees and things because she was pretty reckless.21. Turn-ons? Turn-offs? Girls who wear pretty dresses and have smooth skin and do their hair nicely. Except then there’s Vivian who is somehow very attractive without putting all that effort into making herself look nice (although she’s still taken time on her hair and Cara loves her hair so much) and she really doesn’t know then. For turn-offs, mostly just guys.22. Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen? - She’d probably end up writing about what life was like at the moment, almost doing her log but much more informally, just talking about things that made her laugh or annoyed her that day, along with a bit of “official” stuff. And doodling Vivian’s name in hearts.23. How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life? She’s pretty disorganised, which manifests in Hayley taking care of everything on the ship that needs to be ordered, and Cara’s room being a total mess.24. Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all? She doesn’t care about intellectual pursuits in general, but she does care about history, and even more about myths and legends. She’s an expert on dragon legends.25.How do they see themselves 5 years from today? Pretty similar, just being even more famous and having a bigger crew and having slept with even more rich young women no go away Vivian she doesn’t want a crush on you. Hopefully she’ll have found solid evidence of dragons having existed by then.26. Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout? She’s pretty sure that things are going to carry on working out. She’s a great pirate with the best crew in the world and isn’t going to stop any time soon. Future plans are basically about which area they’re going to sail too next and which treasure they’re going to look for.27. What is their biggest regret? Everyone who died on Death Island. It wasn’t her fault and it was down to her that most of the crew members who did get off survived the journey back, but she still feels as if she could have done more. And she wishes they’d found the treasure.28. Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy? Hayley is her best friend. She has a lot of enemies but none are important enough to be her worst enemy. That would basically be admitting they’re as awesome as she is.29. Reaction to sudden extrapersonal disaster (eg The house is on fire! What do they do?) - Stay calm outwardly, at least (on the inside she’d be scared) and see how everyone around her’s doing, and try to help them.30. Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies) - She’d mourn normally. She’d get comfort from friends and wouldn’t try to keep her emotions in/not admit to being upset. She’d talk things through a lot with Hayley.
The ball is just like every other Vivian has attended: extravagant, high-spirited and extremely uncomfortable. Cara, of course, looks to be enjoying herself immensely, creating a rapport with almost every guest she meets, constantly laughing and smiling and calling for more wine. It is highly irritating, Vivian thinks, that the pirate should be so much more at home among Vivian's class than she herself is. But then there is nothing that isn't highly irritating about Cara.
She scowls at the the pirate as Cara approaches a young aristocratic woman who's watching her with some interest, no doubt of the naive opinion that pirating is a romantic, glamorous life style. It comes as no surprise that within seconds, Cara's hand is sliding up her arm and she's leaning in closer, a flirtatious smile on her lips. What is a surprise is the way Vivian's stomach knots up as she watches.
She's angry, she tells herself, at Cara's pleasure in corrupting innocent women, playing them, telling them they're special, before making up some lie about why she has to leave them because she doesn't care, because Cara doesn't care about anyone but her crew. But Vivian's known all that for a long time, and the anger's never hurt like this before.
The lady giggles as Cara reaches out to run her fingers through her hair. Even from here, Vivian can see the perfect coils of her hair. It's glossy and silky the way rich young ladies' hair tends to be, the way Vivian never had the time and patience for, even before she became a pirate hunter. These days, her career is at odds with any desire she may have to make herself look nice. Her skin is rough, her face weathered, from hard days at sea, a stark contrast to the softness of the ladies Cara finds attractive. She recalls Hayley joking, near the start of their acquaintance, that Cara has no interest in real people, that she sees no appeal in anyone who has ever let dirt touch their hands, who's skin has a single blemish, who's anything less than a perfect princess. Vivian had felt contempt then, and it was so much better than whatever it is she's feeling now.
It is not jealousy, she tells herself sternly. She concedes that her opinion on the pirate may have gone up a little these past few months, but that still doesn't mean she likes her, let alone want her. The lump in her throat is simply because of discomfort at the party. She's gripping the arm of her chair so hard to stop herself causing a scene by going over to demand Cara not dishonour the poor young lady any further. She's angry at Cara for behaving this way, not at herself for feeling this way, not at Cara for making her feel this way and then not caring. She shuts her eyes against Cara leaning in to kiss the other woman, and curses whatever power it was that led her to fall in love with the pirate.
So apparently cara got remy to agree to a three some with she and blake... guess the brooks sisters really do share EVERYTHING, don't they?
Sharing is caring seems to be the understatement of that family. Wealth may define you now, but careful girls, acts like this would send you packing with the std express. Remember ladies, classy not trashy. Perhaps queen bee evie needs to do a better job at keeping her sisters in line, before the rest of the family suffers for it.
So, as most of you know from the news, last Tuesday was kind of messed up.
The school had an explosion but nobody understands when the police say that because nothing blew up. The windows imploded and people were knocked to the ground but there was literally no fire or destruction further than that of severe pressure.
Thing is, everything feels kind of... different since then. Like, something happened that changed deep within this town. A new girl started at school which apparently means H can no longer talk to me and then I got paired with a jock for a physics assignment.
And to top things off when I got home Laya acted as though I was the enemy. Boo you dog! Boo you.
