The total estimate of the social cost of #carbon is over $50 per ton in today’s dollars. While this is the most robust and credible figure available, it does not yet include all of the widely recognized and accepted scientific and economic impacts of #climatechange. For that reason, many experts agree this is far lower than the true cost of #carbonpollution (edf.org, 2019). According to a 2015 there were 48,187 tons of #waste materials collected. #leafrakingday I feel quite conflicted about this process. We pick up the carbon material meant to decompose and provide nutrients for the trees and grass and then we fertilise the lawn with chemicals. Is the look of a bare lawn more important than the health of the earth?
