Bucky's fear of just how terrible an idea this is really cements itself when the truck comes out of nowhere.

'Steve!' he shouts, clinging tighter to the handlebars and swerving too far to the right.

'You’re doing great, Buck.' Steve wraps his arms tighter around Bucky’s waist, and his knees dig painfully into Bucky's side as the back wheel fishtails out before he regains control. 'You’re a natural.'

'You're a shitty liar, Steve.' Bucky turns his head to yell over his shoulder-

'Watch the road!'

Bucky snaps his eyes back to the road and brakes just in time not to run the red light.

'Sorry, sorry.' Bucky shakes his head. 'I really suck at this.'

'It's nice to know you're not good at everything,' Steve says, resting his chin on Bucky’s shoulder. 'I like seeing you flustered.'

'Just wait till we get home, Pal, I'll show you flustered.'

'Promises, promises.' Steve knocks his helmet into Bucky’s. 'Light's green, tough guy.'
