I pitched my novel...

...to Carina Press during the annual #carinapitch event yesterday and was invited to submit my manuscript!

WIN!!!

Now the proposal, the synopsis, the editing, the proofreading and the fretting begins.

But this is MASSIVE!!

My friend's pitch was also accepted. @chele20035 has been invited to submit her shifter paranormal romance also.

Congratulations, girl!

Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

I'm so grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me on this path.

Even if my manuscript doesn't get accepted, it's still farther than I've been. Every little step counts.

Prepped for #carinapitch #kisspitch #pitmad

So here I am.

Some 65,000 to 85,000 words later (not including the 65,000 words cut, changed or revised during rewrites) my book is finished.

Actually, I have three of them ready for readers. A historical fiction set in 1783 Annapolis and two contemporary romances I wrote while taking a breather from all that time travel. Sometimes, you just need your MC to use her cell phone.

Writing Life: eep.

Today was the Carina Press #CarinaPitch day on Twitter, so I pitched Nell & Jasper. I haven’t yet gotten a response, though one (non-Carina) person did “like” my tweet. (Or “favorite” it? are we favoriting at Twitter now?) That was sweet.

Now, as the house winds down, I’ll look at the manuscript once more. I was attempting to rewrite/lengthen it, but I’m not sure the effort worked -- so I’m sending the original, with a few fixes to things that I caught during the rewrite. (Ah, continuity, you’re so cruel.)
