on mornings you didn’t feel well, Dean would bring you coffee and set it on the night stand.

when you couldn’t sleep he stayed up with you.

he brought along another jacket, always.

inside of the sidewalk. such an old habit, nobody did those things anymore. but Dean wouldn’t let you go anywhere unless he was on the outside. just in case.

he always poured for you first. you could be making breakfast and he could be pouring orange juice into a glass, and yours always came first.

he detailed your car for you, every time he spent time on baby, he spent time with your car too.

he didn’t tell you not to hunt, but he told you to be careful. and dinner was always waiting when he was home.

he handed you your jacket before you left to go anywhere, such a little way to remind you to take care of yourself.

he cleaned your guns for you. not because he didn’t trust you to do it correctly, but because he wants to make sure you’re safe.

dean loving you loudly in quiet ways.

Summary:

Recently made human, Cas cannot get warm. He is desperate to try though, and Dean can't seem to stop finding it endearing as hell even if he acts perturbed.

Luckily, Sam knows just what to do to help them out.

Destiel could've been made canon in early season 9. 

When Zeke tells Dean that Castiel cannot stay because his angel-warding-tattoo failed to keep him hidden from April, Dean could've easily argued in Cas' favour: 

April was a reaper so maybe they require extra warding so all they need to do is give Cas more ink (cue anti-possession symbol over his heart + the extensive Enochian warding Cas once carved into Dean and Sam's ribs inked down his spine) 

Cas wasn't in the bunker but now he is and the bunker has the best warding in the world so he's totally shielded so shut-up Zeke 

Cas is no longer an Angel but Zeke is and there's way more chance of Angels honing in on Zeke's grace than Castiel's human..ness, so again, shut-up Zeke 

having looked into it (because they're hunters and it's what they do) Dean points out that April had already possessed that woman weeks before she'd stumbled upon Cas which means Cas' tattoo didn't fail (but they still add the extra ink just in case because safety first) 

Dean offers to fortify and strengthen the bunker's warding to put Zeke's mind at ease, but again, he's the Angel beacon, not human!Cas 

bonus: Zeke sees how Castiel's presence brightens Sam's soul and realises he'll heal sooner - as will Zeke - if he knows his friend is safe and they can spend time together 

in conclusion: Dean should've called Zeke out on his misguided notions and overly dramatic BS. 💙
