Carl 799 and Carl y

Carl 799 and Carl y are just based off our own personal experiences with physical/medical ailments and mental ailments. Carl 799 belongs to @burnthesuckerup C:

Carl y is named in such a way, due to often not remembering his own serial number, and adopting other numbers. It’s a placeholder name similar to variables x, y, etcetc. (Mirroring my own memory and identity issues🫶)

They’re just two sad sillies who take care of each other whenever possible x)

An Imperfect Clone (or CARLSONA AU)

I wrote some text out of a sense of nostalgia (rather for myself, because other people are unlikely to be interested in it) with a brief plot of one of my old "AU" on Beholder 2. And which I will not develop.

The events take place at the end of the game called "Utopia".

Clones (or Carls) are hardworking, versatile creatures, and unquestioningly obey their Creator - Isaac Weinberg. Without feelings and emotions, and, most importantly, personality.

But sometimes there is a glitch in their head, which causes the clones to acquire their own personality. The Ministry should not know about this, otherwise the "personality" will be reset to standard settings. Such clones are called defective.

Carl 911 is one such defective clone. After experiencing beatings and bullying at work (due to improperly made teeth during its creation), he found his identity, and aggressively (and with diligence!) he rose higher in the programmed specialty of a public servant until he became a senior officer (not a boss, just a little higher or on a par with others).

At some point, clones began to be exterminated in Helmer for an unknown reason. The 911 clone is summoned by Weinberg, and offers Carl to find out the reason for such an atrocity on his creations.

During the investigation, Carl 911 learns that all the killed clones are defective, and somewhere underground there is a shelter for them, which is secretly kept by the new secretary of Weiberg - 427th. The latter explains that the unknown is looking for this shelter in order to exterminate the defective ones to a single one. The 427th also has one more secret, but he will tell it when the time comes.

In fact, this is all Weinberg's business, because zeroing out the identity of the clones stopped working at some point, and it will be easier to destroy the "defective object" in order to recreate it anew. The only exception is 427, because through him he observes how defective clones are arranged (and 427 begged on his knees not to reset his personality).

And 911 could have agreed with Weinberg earlier (because his own life is dear to him), but before finding shelter, the clone made acquaintances with other defective ones, to whom he had already become attached. While they were talking, other clones broke into the shelter, and destroyed most of the defective ones. Someone managed to escape (but they have to hide), and someone died and will go to recycling.

Since 911 knows too much, he is offered a choice: to be destroyed along with all the defective ones, or to destroy the rest of the defective ones, but stay alive himself. Reluctantly and not knowing what else to do, 911 chooses the second option.

Time passes. Humanity has been exterminated, only Isaac and Evan remain. Of the defective ones, only 911 and 427 remained. Weinberg asked Karl 911 not to let the 427th go to the top floor, but the clone did not let him go, and later found him next to the corpses of Weinberg and Redgrave.

Since Caleb jumped out of the window, no one has repaired the glass. Before leaving, 427th handed over to 911 his notes and the key to the secret room (with Carl Zero), after which he went out the very window, unable to withstand the loss of his creator (to whom he had long been attached). 911 reads the recordings and for the first time in his life catches a severe headache from realizing what kind of person the original was, and what a monster he is himself.

The clone finally enters the secret room and disables all Carl Zero installations and other mechanisms to stop the cloning cycle. After that, he dies from a strong discharge, sticking a shocker into his neck. As he fell, he only hoped that he would be able to meet his friends.

Carlsonas AU

The AU takes place on Isaac Weinberg's route and the Utopia Ending. Because of a mistake, the clones learn how cruel the world is, gain their own personality and try to cope with memories from the past of Carl "Zero" Stein. The events of AU begin a few days before Evan's arrival at the Ministry. Isaac buries himself in work to distract himself from Caleb's death, but eventually breaks down and locks himself in Throne Room. During the conversation with the clones, he says out loud that he dreams of a friend who can understand him. That's how Carl 427 appears. In addition to him, other defective clones begin to appear.

Once, a long time ago, when I was an active person in the fandom, especially on the Beholder's server in Discord, I had an idea about a clone who gained self-awareness and fell in love with Isaac. Now I think it was a stupid and pointless idea. However, I still have some art that was made for fun.

911 (Public Servant) and 621 (Baker) were originally the designs of clones' professions.
