Many of you may not know the war between Capybaras (Carpinchos) and rich people in Argentina (also known as Chetas).
Nordelta is a project of gentrification built on wetlands. The project has built private neighbourhoods that are close, following the fantasy of rich people to live separately from the rest of commons. This project has many issues, we will talk on one: built on wetlands and destroy biodiversity.
The wetlands are home of Carpinchos, instead of leaving due to urbanization, the Carpinchos are resisting and remaining in the territories making rich people very annoyed by their presence. It is fair to say that Carpinchos are not aggressive, they will drink mate with you if you allow it. But rich people, the chetas of Nordelta, don't want them there and have made several attempts to remove them, even sterilize them. However those attempts are being stopped by activists that presented the case to the justice that ruled in their favor.
The Carpinchos are resisting in their land using the power of being incredibly cute, funny and being right.
In a recent chapter of this war against gentrification, Carpinchos seems like they called back up forces, some random wild pigs showed up in those private neighbourhoods.
If you need to know more to side with Carpinchos in this war, you need to know that rich people of Nordelta has special transport to come and go from the close neighbourhoods to the city, but many times, when they are using the transport, won’t allow the poor people who go to work to those neighbourhoods because they say they smell bad.
