Helen’s 5 carry-on bag essentials

Apple Earphones I generally enjoying listening to music the whole flight. Nothing better than ignoring everyone around you and jamming to your favorite tunes for a couple hours.  A Book I also like to bring on a book that I am reading at the time, which is currently Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It's a cute dorky love story about a girl dedicated to her fandom starting college, it's a pretty easy read and I look forward to reading her other book, Eleanor and Park. EOS Chapstick Plane rides tend to make my lips chapped, so just in case it gets dry, I have my trusty Passion Fruit EOS,which is my favorite Chapstick :D

Red Beanie Also, I always get really cold on flights, so to retain some extra heat, I like to wear beanies. This one is a red knit one I got from Forever 21, and I like the slouchy-ness. iPhone I store all my music on my iPhone. ALL OF IT.

Bose Noise Canceling Headphones Noise canceling headphones are a must when traveling! I just went to LA this past weekend and had a screaming baby sitting across the aisle from me. As cute as they can be, screaming babies in a confined space can be tough to handle. 

Socks I have a few pairs of these that I picked up while in Korea a couple years back. I remember them being only a few dollars each. They are perfect for keeping my feet warm but also allow me to take my shoes off on long haul flights that tend to make my feet swell. I only feel the need to put my shoes back on or put on some slippers when I am headed to the bathroom during the flight. 

Facial Oil Being in air causes my skin to dry out a bit, especially on long flights. I always bring a tiny bottle of this oil onboard with me so I can apply some when my skin is feeling parched. It is the perfect size and awesome at moisturizing!

Sketchbook Sitting still for a extended period of time helps me organize my thoughts and sometimes I need a place to jot down notes, sketch a couple ideas for my next project, etc. I always try to carry a sketchbook and writing utensil so I don’t miss my chance to do so! This version one of my all time favorites. 

iPhone Carrier of my music and audiobooks, my phone is a must for entertainment purposes.

Our Social Media Coordinator Devon recently jetted off to Barcelona for a 5-day getaway to visit friends. While packing, she channeled Mary Poppins to create her own version of a "magic" carry-on that contained all the essentials she needed for a seamless travel experience. Here are her Pinch Proof travel tips:

Summer hat - hide less-than-stellar looking hair with a cute hat when you deboard

Sarong - double duty as a light cover for airplane ride + swimsuit cover up)

Think thin bars, creamy peanut butter - great source of protein and a good alternative to the sometimes eerie-looking on-flight meal options

Sleeping mask - personal TV screens are amazing for entertainment but can be killer to a restful sleep so shield your eyes from the bright glow for easier zzzzzzs

Earplugs - an absolute must-have (noise-canceling headphones are another alternative but sometimes harder to sleep while wearing them)

OMG Monogram Minimergency Kit - never travel without it (bonus: the Monogram styles come with Refill Set which means you can pack extras for longer travel)

Pocket mirror
