Lauren’s 5 carry-on bag essentials
Hello. We each have travel plans in the near future, so we wanted to share our 5 must-have items that can be found in our carry-on bags. Here are mine:
Water bottle
I like to bring in an empty water bottle through security & then fill up at the airport before boarding. This is an essential because staying hydrated on a plane is quite the challenge.
Lip Balm
This is another essential to battle the effects of the dry cabin air.
Scarf
Having a scarf, can have multiple payoffs. I usually carry one that’s big enough to be used as a wrap. It comes in handy when the cabin is chilly to wrap around my shoulders. It can also double as a mini pillow, when rolled up. On long flights, I’ll even use it to add some cushioning to the seat, by sitting on it.
Kindle
I have a 2nd generation Kindle & I love it. I pretty much always have it on me, so on a flight is no exception. I can carry so many books without having to have something bulky in my bag. This comes in handy while waiting at the gate and during the actual flight.
Knitting Project
Reading and watching movies can get pretty boring after a few hours, so I like to carry a small project to work on. I find knitting really calming and focusing, so I can easily do it for hours without tiring. It’s a great way to keep me entertained without having to get up and moving around the plane. Currently, I’m learning how to make socks. Maybe by the end of my upcoming Europe and Japan trips, I’ll have a new pair of socks!
