i will now talk about my ocs >:) you have enabled me
so in this universe, there was an event about 8 years prior to the main story (that i’m in the process of writing atm). there’s a group of magical fighters who saved the universe from a couple of entities that sought to destroy it. something i’ve noticed is that all of them fit into some kind of superhero archetype and i think that’s really fun and has the potential to build upon the writing i already have for them. i’m just gonna focus on the ones that i consider the “main three”, but there is a lot more!
carson cagney- the leader of the group and the character i’ve had and kept for the longest time (over 5 years now!). an absolute bitch who had the biggest ego boost after saving the universe and letting the fame and notoriety get to his head. he’s a classic superhero type; big and buff with one very clear cut power (he can stretch his limbs real far that’s pretty much it, basically just elastigirl, and these powers are fueled by confidence) and an iconic color scheme (his is just the primary colors). he kinda reminds me of metroman from megamind
joey suwan- carson’s longtime best friend and just a ray of sunshine. he’s very sweet and is the type to be super humble and flustered when someone thanks him for saving them from danger. because of his very kind nature, i’d say he’s a magical girl type! i would imagine that in a scenario where he’d have a big, flashy transformation and outfit, he’d be happy with whatever as long as he’d get to keep his signature pastel pink and yellow. his magical ability is the ability to shoot beams of energy out of his eyes, mouth, and/or hands. his powers are fueled by positive emotions
raya sampilo- the “girl power” type of the group. she was originally carson’s love interest (and they dated for about seven years before breaking up because carson’s just not a great person to be in a relationship with), and joey’s childhood best friend (they are still best friends to this day, but joey is most widely recognized as carson’s best friend). it’s worth noting that when i made her (again, over 5 years ago), she was everything i wanted to be, so she was always kind of the “strong independent woman!! girls can be just as strong if not stronger than boys!!!!” trope. but now she’s a lot more established, although she has a similarly tough personality. she can make her body temperature extremely hot without it harming her, and can produce/manipulate fire. she is very nimble and agile but can also cause large amounts of damage.
again, there are others, but the writing for these three is the most sound in my opinion. thank you for sending that ask :)!
