On one hand, FINALLY. A ship where they don't ship Cass with a minor or like, technically her own sister. Still prefer Cassance platonically though.

And before you say it, no, Cass isn't a canon lesbian. The closest thing she has to a canon sexuality is aro and bi. Still not canon though so.

5. What is your OTP?

Cassandra and Lance, forever. A man who is funny, sensitive, confident, and meets the low low bar of "hasn't tried to kill her." They lean on each other in times of crisis, coming to each other's aid, and he doesn't stop her from being the strong woman she wants to be. In fact, he like strong women and hides behind her when he's scared! I think they're a good compliment, and I think they would bring out the best in each other.

9. Best Moments?

Already said my absolute fave, but I'll admit any of the background moments with Cassandra and Lance are my favorite. Him helping her up after Varian tried to kill her, her helping him up after Baron poisoned him, him casually teasing her and her picking on him with Owl, them playing tag after growing back up, her calling him her friend, him flirting with her.. like. I wish there was more foreground of them interacting, but I'll take what we've been given.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD WHAT IF CASS IS KING EDMUND'S DAUGHTER AND SHE DECIDED TO STAY BEHIND TO HELP HER KINGDOM AND LANCE STAYED WITH HER BECAUSE HE LOVES HER AND THAT'S WHY THEY AREN'T AT NEW DREAM'S WEDDING!?!?

WELCOME TO THE BLOG WHERE WE FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT.

I heavily believe that Cassandra is Edmund’s daughter, actually, and that yes! That’s why she and Lance aren’t at the wedding. She’s fixing her Kingdom up! 

Before season 2, Cass had the moon symbols around her. She painted herself at night in dark armor that isn’t her attire and isn’t Corona guard armor, her room had a painting of the moon, and her wardrobe had the moon as well. She received the Cassandrium form Varian, which looks a lot like Edmund’s necklace. Not to mention her coloration has always lent to a more night/dark theme, she’s noticibly different than other Coronan citizens with her complexion and dark hair.

In season 2, most evidence points to Eugene. The moon symbols mount around him, but that never happened in season 1. (Thought we got the crown moment in season 1! Good catch, @darkprince-eugene !!)  The Wheel of Fortune also seems to suggest that they’re on the road to Eugene’s family, not Angry’s, we just got the ship moment in Happiness Is… (Angry ISN’T Angry’s name, and Eugene was the angry one in the group, after all.) 

It all seems to SCREAM he’s going to be Edmund’s son… But… it’s odd to me that Eugene and Adira are by the Comet symbol and Cassandra is the one by the Dark Kingdom.

I’ve said this before, too, but I think Cassandra and Eugene are siblings and are Edmund’s children. We know that Edmund probably abandoned the Kingdom 25 years ago, and we know that Cassandra is 23, we don’t know Eugene’s age. I’m proposing he’s 24, that Edmund had children after leaving the Dark Kingdom (like Quirin did, it’s not a stretch, Varian is 14) and lost their mother and just wasn’t able to keep coping. 

Or that he had to go back to the Kingdom for whatever reason and fathomed it was smarter to let the children grow up somewhere possibly safer than this desolate wasteland and so he left them behind. Maybe he had set up somewhere to stay for them and it fell through, maybe he’s just another Shitty Dad and left them in the orphanage to begin with. 

Either way, I think he’s their father.

I definitely think Eugene is going to reject the idea of being a Prince, however, that’s not for him. He has what he wants and that’s Rapunzel, he’s going to be her husband and he doesn’t need this nonsense. But Cass? She’s never going to consider Edmund her dad, that’s the Captain’s title and honor, but this is something she’d excel at.

(And Lance certainly wants a crown, haha!)
