I have a vague recollection that you can make/fake buttermilk with regular milk and vinegar? But I've also had like 4 hours of sleep and nightmares so I may not be a reliable witness.

Yea I’ve heard the same thing. I’d totally try it if this weren’t for a dessert for Thanksgiving. Knowing me I’d my luck it would turn out nasty lol

Apologies

Here I am, trying again, this time hopefully with the right attitude.

Just a couple of days ago I said and shared apologies that weren’t really apologies, but the work of someone who thought couldn’t be doing racist things cause she was “a nice person”. I dismissed and diminished arguments about something I didn’t know anything about and believed I could know better even though I had literally nothing to show for it. I turned in exactly the kind of person I point my finger to when I think about racist idiots.

Basically I was a dick. I know that now: I fucked up.

I am sorry for what I said and how I said it, I will do my absolute best to not repeat the same mistakes in the future and think three times before letting that side of my white ass come out again.

Hey this is super random, but can you tell me the name of the show your header image is from? The central character is beautiful.

Oh, no problem! Her name’s Casca, and she’s a character from the anime/manga Berserk. Fair warning if you look into it: the story itself is...something, pretty much the definition of a problematic fave with heavy content, hard potential triggers, and plenty to critique, but I will say she’s definitely one of the gems, and is pretty much the sole reason I got into it and continue to keep up with it. My header image is from one of the movie adaptations (one of the few times in the movies she’s actually the proper skin tone. She tends to be whitewashed from her original adaptation rather often, but what else is new lol). If you do choose to check the series out, I’d recommend the original ‘97 anime; it gives a simplified but still pretty good (and cleaner) version of the series’ most popular and significant arc, and actually embraces her skin tone as it is in the source material.
