Happy Friday everyone. The weekend brings on many exciting times or even the most relaxing times. But don’t forget all of the hard work you put into your week. Many of us can stay on track with exercising and eating healthy during the week, but when the weekend hits.... that’s another story. Taking 5 steps forwards and 3 steps back isn’t going to help you reach your goals. OF COURSE treat yourself here and there, but don’t forget the main goal you have in mind. Here are some tips to staying on track on the weekend!
1. Change your mind set: The weekend shouldn’t mean you can eat whatever you want and sit on your butt all day. Try to change your LIFESTYLE. Avoid the word diet and it will become a lot easier. Keep your routines going through the weekend and make it an EVERY DAY THING!
2. Order smart: If you’re going out to dinner with friends and family, try to think twice about your choices. Focus on good portion sizes and balanced meals! DRINK A LOT OF WATER.
3. Walk it out: The weekends might not be a time where most people want to exercise. But walking is a great way to burn some calories and stay active. Now that the weather is getting nice, there is no excuse to not get outside with your family or friends and DO SOMETHING. Go the park, walk the dog, go to an event, etc. Take advantage of your free time. GET THOSE STEPS IN!
