don’t know why, but i feel like cassian is a big bigfoot believer. prythian is full of mystical creatures and he doesn’t really care, but this one big ass mysterious ape thing and he’s like, “yes, this one i care about”. he has theories, “proof” of bigfoots existence, and plans on how he will be the one to prove his existence once and for all. if anyone in the inner circle mistakingly mentions anything in anyway related to bigfoot, cassian will be sharing his findings.
rhys: so it looks like the troops are moving into these woods here, so if we come in from here-
cassian: you know there was a bigfoot sighting there 350 years ago. these campers said-

cassian: so maybe if we can get bigfoot in on thi-
azriel: no.
i also think every once and a while aziel gets bored and thinks it’s fun to set up “evidence” for cassian to find. nesta is now 1000% in on this and tells cassian nothing. he comes home all excited to share his new discovery and nesta listens while internally is laughing her ass off knowing cassian has once again fallen for azriel’s bigfoot shenanigans.
thinking about Cassian with a chronically ill mate who tells him about the spoon theory and from that point on the carries a spoon in his pocket so that ever you tell him you're low on spoons he can pull it out and be like "you can have one of mine" and he thinks he's a comedic genius.
really though I think he'd be so sweet. doing yoga with you, keeping the freezer stocked with ice packs, diligently picking up prescriptions. I think he'd give the best massages and he'd know what food to make you that'll help with your symptoms and vitamin deficiencies.
Okay so we all know Cassian has some luscious locks™ on his head but let’s be real he probably spends at least an hour in front of the mirror getting that messy, “oh I didn’t do anything to my hair it just looks like this when I wake up” sexy af look and you can bet when Nesta finds him in the bathroom working on his hair for the first time she just looks at him and says, “all natural, huh?” and smirks because she had a sneaking suspicion that Cassian was fussy over his hair and just needed to prove it to herself because hair that sexy takes work.
ACOTAR characters respond to cute aggression biting
Recently I have been thinking a lot about when I told my friends in high school that sometimes I just think people are so adorable I want to bite them. They didn't hesitate in being like, "weird, but you do you." and just letting me bite them on the shoulder randomly. I get this urge with people I'm close with (it can be friends or romantic).
Sorry for the explanation, but I felt it needed one. Without further adu, here are the ACOTAR characters responding to cute aggression.

I think Gwyn and Emerie would be like my friends in high school and just accept that this is something you do.
Nesta would think its strange. Any time she would see you do that to Gwyn or Emerie, she would just be like "What the fuck is wrong with you?"
I feel like Gwyn would quickly start biting as well. She would be more like a puppy, doing it when feeling extra silly as well as normal ca.
Lucien
Definitly would bite you back harder
"So you want to play games, do you?"
It would quickly escalate to sex
You would be covered in bite marks
Sometimes he may just leave it as a cute, goofy moment, but overall I feel it would lead to sex most of the time.
Eris
The first time you bite him would be during a cozy moment. Y'all are cuddled up, joking around and it just happens.
He would be confused, looking at you skeptically. "Did you just bite me?" "Well, you just looked so cute, I couldn't help it." "Do you often have the urge to do that?" "Well, kinda. This time I just kinda acted on it I guess..." He would laugh, hugging you close and gently biting you back.
I think there are times this would lead to more, but overall I think he would accept it. He'd be so happy to know that you think he's cute (he's just your sweet little mate, aw).
He would honestly think it was adorable. You're just his cute little weirdo!
Cassian
He would initially be confused and joke about you needing a chew toy.
He would tease you for it but secretly love when you did it because he knew it was because you were happy and comfortable with him.
Would get concerned if you hadn't bit him in a while so he would try being extra cute to trigger the response. If it doesn't work he would ask when you're trying to go to sleep. "Why don't you bite me anymore? Do you not think I'm adorable anymore?" While giving you puppy eyes and batting his eyelashes.
Azriel
"Aw, my little puppy" and pets your head.
He would think it is adorably strange. If you are lucky you may get a giggle out of him.
If it catches him by surprise, he would quickly bite you back but a bit harder.
I think, like Lucien, this could also lead to sexy time. It would get intense... we all heard sjm call him a freak.
Tamlin
The first time you do this I could see him just biting the shit out of you with no hesitation (not enough to break skin, but hard).
You bat him away laughing, "What the hell? I gave you a happy bite!". He would be confused but once you explain it he would be like "Ooooo, happy bite, okay." and then give you a little baby bite.
Mor
I think her initial response would be, "What the hell was that" *stunned blinking*, but once she understands I think she would love it and think it's hilarious.
She would start biting you too, but only because she thinks it's so funny. She would do it out of nowhere and just run away laughing.
Jurian and Vassa
They see Lucien and his mate do this once, ask for no explanation and just begin using it as a form of warfare.
They would be arguing and one of them would just bite the other and storm off.
So, here‘s a Cassian (Nessian?) headcanon that no one asked me to write but I wrote it anyway because I just need more of them in my life and 2020 is ages away.
This headcanon has been circling around my head for a few days now. Apparently, I like to suffer.
Also, you should definitely listen to The War by SYML because it just kind of screams Cassian and it inflicts chest pains.
Cassian is friendly, kind and loud
he loves his brothers and family more than anything
he laughs and smiles all the time and it’s no pretense
he’s actually happy
but
when he truly thinks about it, or at night
it just hits him how so so lonely he is
there is some stuff that just no one knows
his mother is long dead
everyone knows that, it’s been over 500 years
but he still dreams about her. so very often
he doesn’t remember much, not even her face, just little smudges
how her kind smile made him feel
he remembers all the cold nights together, her sweet low singing
and tiny little pieces of conversation
“Mommy, I’m hungry.”
“I know, Cassian. It’s okay. It’s going to be okay. I promise.”
her voice sad but her mouth smiling and her hands caressing Cassian’s hair
and this echoes through all his dreams of her

he wakes up every time with a single tear sliding down his cheek
it’s still dark
he stands on his balcony, his hands holding onto the railing with a death grip

but his whole body is trembling, shaking
he can’t breathe, it feels like drowning

and sometimes, just sometimes, another tear escapes
It’s going to be okay.
he can’t fall asleep again
I promise.
So he just stands and waits until the sun rises
no one knows, not Rhysand, not Azriel, no one
he does not want them to know
but during these nights he feels so unbearably alone
he wants to have someone to share the pain with
he wants to have Nesta
she would understand. he knows she would
so at his lowest, when he’s truly exhausted, when it feels like he can’t even stand anymore
he imagines Nesta
standing in the open doorway
in her white nightdress
her hair unbound and floating in the gentle breeze
sad smile on her face and the pain he feels is in her eyes
she reaches out as if to touch him
and disappears
later
much much later
when Nesta is real for the first time
when they finally overcome everything
Cassian wakes up from his dream
he’s standing on the balcony
and Nesta comes
she reaches out
her solid hand is soft on his shoulder
her voice even softer when she says
“It’s okay. It’s going to be okay.”
that’s the moment Cassian breaks
and starts sobbing
he turns around, hugging Nesta so close to his chest she can hardly breathe
and for the first time he actually believes
